Pretty much horrible customer service all around. We ordered a king size bed, arranged our busy schedule to be available for delivery, disassembled our old bedroom set and slept on a pull out couch in preparation for delivery... only to be notified that pieces of the bed were damaged in the process. When I spoke with management, I was told there is no way to predict when the new items will be available. Several hours later I was told by another customer service rep that the bed would be out for delivery next Friday. An entirely different rep called me to notify us that delivery was set for this Wednesday. And then, a manager called to offer us pickup from a local warehouse. We opted for the warehouse pickup as I am now extremely wary of their ability to deliver on time and cannot arrange for someone to be home at any given hour for these flakey people. As we are arriving to the warehouse with several different vehicles and family members to help us acquire the pieces, I receive yet another phone call to notify us that all of the prior information was a mistake and in fact, we may need to consider ordering a different bed that could be in stock sooner. At this point, I'm completely baffled as to where anyone in this company is coming up with their information. I should add that I'm 37 weeks pregnant, sleeping on a pull out couch with a disheveled master bedroom and with no plans for when this will be rectified. Looks like I'm becoming one of those moms who speaks to managers even sooner than I expected to be, considering I'm not even a mom yet. Based on the reviews I don't imagine this company will do anything to fix this issue. The positive in all of this... sounds like we dodged a major bullet because they refunded my money immediately. I'd make a zero if I could- we purchased furniture from this store over a month ago and swapped a piece it before delivery. They've charged us for the additional piece but still have not refunded the balance from the piece that's been swapped out. They are also yet to deliver an item. I've called customer care upwards of 7 times. Waited 30mins+ on the phone only for the customer care agent not to be able to do anything. "Reach out to the store" is what I'm told but the store never picks up or answers emails. Today I got a receipt and delivery confirmation that was wrong. I didn't realize so many people had bad experiences. I always go to PetSmart next door to Ashley Hime Store on Carl D Parkway in Fredericksburg. I thought I'd check it out. Found a beautiful bedroom set and was delivered the exact day and time promised. 100% happy with that. Then a couple weeks later I bought a sofa sleeper. The delivery truck was there on time. The mover opened my (brand new) storm door all the way backwards and used packing wrap to hold the door handle to the deck railing. Then the movers had a horrible time getting the couch through the doorway. Got it in and noticed a tear and black stain and the arm was ripped. All due to forcing the couch through the doorway . The movers called customer service and we both took pictures and I spoke to the rep who said she was setting an appointment for someone to fix it. I was ok with that. Then the movers left. Not knowing the mover wrapped my door open till they left my driveway. I unwrapped it and realized my door was broken. The metal bar was bent the hinges were bent and also the door frame all from the forcing the couch through the door. I called and have been going back and forth since February and it's now May..I haven't heard anything about my claim for the door damage since March. I did however receive a call on the repair technician. Calling to confirm on April 25th someone was coming on the 29th. That was the 1st I heard and said I work that day and can we find another day? I was told that they will let me know when the NEXT available date is, but might be a while because I live in a remote area. I said I was done and wanted them to take the couch so I can exchange it. Apparently they don't do returns or exchanges. Has to be approved and they seldom do that. I said " so you mean to tell me u have to repair the couch in order to return it? Although it WILL rip again when taking it beck?" They're like " yes and that's IF you're approved to replace it" so I guess I'm being forced to keep a couch that was delivered damaged. They treat me like I changed my mind for no reason? I don't want this couch, been living with a trashy stained ripped couch and a broken storm door that doesn't close for almost 4 months. Let me start off by saying that our visit to Ashley was fine we found a couch that we both love and ordering the couch went smoothly. However receiving our full purchase has been a absolute nightmare! After experiencing this situation I took a look at other reviews and let me say no one has handed out false reviews! We got a phone call that our couch and recliner was being delivered and we were so excited! Our couch has three recliners, keeps your drink cold, heats up, and massages you!! The dream ended quick though. We got a phone call the day the couch was being delivered that only half of it was going to be brought to our house because he half with the cup holders and captain seats didn't pass inspection. Where this was a big let down we thought huh at least they tested it before they delivered it. So then we get told that the new piece would be in he warehouse on 11/20/17 we were never told that was a estimated timeframe we were told specifically that it would be in the warehouse on 11/20/17. Then early last week we were told that the couch was in the warehouse so we figured huh maybe they rushed it so I had to take a extra day off (my last few vacation hours until June are now gone) but I didn't mind my favorite part of the couch was delivered. Then my fiancé received another phone call that it didn't pass so we would get a piece on 11/20/17 in the warehouse. So I call to figure out what happen now and get told we should have never received that call because the new piece was never delivered and that it's still on track to be in the warehouse on 11/20/17. Now I'm livid now I regret using my last few hours of vacation time. So now it's 11/24/17 we never received a call about our couch that should have been in the warehouse on 11/20/17 so I called around 4pm today. I get told that the couch won't be in the warehouse until 11/28/17 or some where around then and 11/20/17 was only a estimated guess. Excuse me?! 11/20/17 was the guaranteed arrival day!!!!!! I should have had the other half of my couch either on Wednesday or at least today 11/24/17. So now I'm only paying for half a couch (not even the best part of the couch) and a recliner. So what am I not going to see this full couch in my living room until 2018?! My rep Dominique in the store was great and had all the facts! So update. On date of purchase I was told everything was in stock and I should have my items in as early as 7 days. I called last week (Wednesday) and was told everything is in except the mattress and that should be in by Friday and to expect a call to set up delivery. Ok great! I followed up today and the woman says a FEW items are on back order and that estimated delivery is now Nov 12th. That's unacceptable and a huge inconvenience. She is supposed call me back within 30 minutes to see if she can "reconfigure" things for an earlier delivery. Not happy at this point. Let me start off with stay away from this store. The guy who worked with us seemed very helpful. He asked for our contact information to send out a survey which he didn't do. He also said we would receive our furniture in a month and could pick up a small bench the next day. First the bench hasn't been there and its been a month and three weeks. But after a month came WE contacted them, and they said 3 more weeks. Been 3 weeks and still don't even have half of our furniture. The first delivery they brought a broken dinning table. Second delivery they said we would receive our bedroom furniture. They showed up with the dinning table and a piece of furniture we didn't even order. Can't wait for this company to go out of business! They don't deserve to go another day stealing money from people who put trust in furniture "experts". Ordered two remotes for lift chairs for elderly father as original remote stopped working. It seems you can't order parts from the store you purchase chairs so they send you to their distribution to order parts but don't tell you that payment has to be made at the store, so back to the store to make payment I go. When I get to store I find their system is down and I can't make payment by credit card and he will not take cash for some stupid reason. After the "manager" took my CC info he assured me that he would send verification of payment to distribution so the order could be placed and he would send me an email verification when the order has been placed. Two weeks and no response so I call again and spend 30 minutes going back and forth with both stores and find out that the remotes "have been ordered" but will take 3-4 weeks to get. Meanwhile the second remote that I robbed from the other identical lift chair to use on the chair he uses is acting up and has left him in a position we can't move him from the chair. I call Ashley back and explain issue, I ask if there is a way to over-ride remote to get him out of chair and I get "I am sorry" as my remedy to problem. We were able to luckily get chair working again (for now) but I am left with two lift chairs, one with NO remote and the other on the fritz. I ask if I can use a remote from chair on showroom floor since this process will have taken two months from the time this started until I get my remotes and well, that didn't happen. Long story, shortened. Beginning August 2017 went to Regency and ordered a sofa, finally came in middle of October and it was wrong. Waited another eight weeks and sofa never came, finally refunded our money and picked up the wrong sofa December 2017. Ordered a sofa from Ashley HomeStore Fredericksburg and it had to be ordered as well. They delivered before the date we expected, less than three weeks and the sofa is great! Power reclining sofa with power leg, lumbar and headrest. I had a broken cervical spine about nine years ago and it really helps my back/neck. Mike was a great salesman too. read more

Omg!!!! Please please please stay away from this store!!! The reviews are all accurate!!!! I literally had to pull teeth to get all of my furniture out here. Each time I call, someone different gives me different information. I am so tired and frustrated with this store. I'm not an evil person at all but I just want this store and all the people in it to be dealt with how they should!!! And the distribution center......don't get me started with them!! So we ordered a number of pieces from the store, they gave us an estimated date. Well the estimated date rolls around and I do not hear from the store for a delivery date. So I call, and they kept pushing the date back because they said the pieces were not passing the quality control review. So anyway literally 3 weeks later, they deliver half of the stuff since they stated that the other half won't be ready until the end of the month. Ok whatever. So they deliver a kitchen table, 2 couches, coffee table and 2 sets of twin beds with matches......but here is the kicker! One of the beds didn't have the screws to go with it so they couldn't put the bed together. They said oh well we're booked and we won't be able to send a technician out to a week later. A week?!? So I literally had to keep calling for someone to come and set this bed up. First they said the hardware isn't in the warehouse....then we got a separate notification saying it was in the warehouse. I kept calling and no one would transfer me to a manager! So finally they sent someone out on Monday to fix the bed, but the draws under the bed didn't have knobs!!! So they said sorry we will order you some. On top of that, one of the drawers has a hole in it and they said the same thing....sorry we will order you another one. On top of that, I get a call the next day saying the technician will come next week to put your bed up. Ummmmm the technician has already came and put our bed up!!!! They are crazy!!! No Stars!! what this place did was illegal!! I bought a $3000 power couch and warranty plus accessories. They were all nice and smiles, i told the sales men I was having a event and I needed it by Saturday. He told me that was possible. I opened up a store card I swiped my card. The hospitality ended there. I payed $170 for Delivery as well. When they came they brought the WRONG couch (manual)!! The delivery lady Stephany called to check in and I told her they brought the wrong couch, she informed me I was wrong and this is the couch I ordered. I politely asked her to wait for me to call the store because there must be a mistake. Stephany was very rude and unreasonable with that request saying I had to decide in that moment. I then proceeded to say only 2 of the pieces are powered can keep the remaining pieces because I needed them for this weekend, she replied no. I told her that was unreasonable to ask a customer to make an impulse decision. She then proceeded to tell me the shippers had 17 stops and had to get moving. I told her that's not fair considering they messed up their first delivery. look if this was a free service then i understand the urgency. BUT I PAID for the service. I then asked her guys to wait. They left with out my decision to keep the couch while i was on the phone with Ashley. essentially forcing me to keep the couch with no decision made. I went back to the Store right when it opened and said what is going on. my salesmen heard me out and said oh yeah that's wrong let me do some digging. he came back and went line by line with me showing his correct equations or so he says. i then pointed out the flaw in his math showing he ordered the wrong couch. he then said, "Oh well yeah i messed that part up but everything else is correct. I asked him about a piece i ordered that didn't come. My salesman told me I never ordered that piece. I corrected him and said "i always know what I'm buying, i even asked you the price and said add it on please". he replied" no I'm not wrong you are!, i remember you said forget it" i looked at this man like what the hell? how are you going to tell me IM WRONG?? I'm even willing to pay for it!!! but he said i was wrong. After going through all that i said screw it ill just take the manual, adjust the price and give me the accessory that should of came the first time. Which he did. I left the store. i got a call from my roommate soon after saying they destroyed my walls past quick repair. like thousands in damages and i was appalled! I've only lived in this place a month and they destroyed my walls door frames where you can see the metal beam showing, stairs, put holes, marks. after confronting the delivery guy he said his manager would reach out that day. Call never came. called customer service for over two hours just trying to get to the right place but was informed the place that handles damages on the weekend is closed. so they gave me a number to call for Monday and they would have some one else reach out to address the problem. call never came. i called on Monday and even though i was livid was polite on the phone considering the lady is not responsible for the huge mess that was left. she sympathized with me saying oh yeah were liable for the damages and to send pictures of the damages. it took 3 separate email to send all of the pictures. 3 days later i get a call from the lady informing me that the installers took THEIR own pictures and she said the damage occurred happened before the movers and they would not be fixing anything!!!! i then got very mad but she did not care at all. so i paid for delivery, they dropped off the wrong couch, they were rude, messed up my walls, told me i was a liar. left without me accepting delivery on a $3000 couch. never called when they said. oh yeah then they told me to be home for the 3rd delivery they had to make and never came that day. and wont even fix one wrong on this whole cluster fuck of a situation. now Im stuck with the wrong couch. with serious damage and no hospitality. I read all of the terrible reviews about Ashley, but ordered a bedroom set from them anyway after I spoke to the manager about my concerns. He assured me that by ordering the set a month in advance, that the order would have no issues. Not the case. I paid extra for a Saturday delivery and was promised a call the week of delivery to confirm. The Friday before delivery, I had still not heard from Ashley. I called to confirm myself--- no delivery scheduled. One of four pieces had been damaged in the warehouse, so they canceled the entire order AND did not communicate this to me whatsoever. After waiting for 10 minutes to speak to the original manager who assured me this entire process would be seamless, he rescheduled the delivery for the pieces that were not damaged. Long rest of the story short, two weeks later I still have not received the damaged piece. The delivery was scheduled for today between 1-4 where I couldn't leave my house. It is 6 pm and Ashley reps still have no answers for me. No calls. No apologies. Believe what you read. They are terrible. Overpriced and definitely not worth the headache. DO NOT SHOP HERE! The sale was good but the wait and the experience with Customer Service has been TERRIBLE! They do not even deserve 1 star! I purchased a 3 piece sectional from them in June (its now October) we had issues and delays picking up the furniture for 2-3 months. We had to pick up 2 pieces and wait on the 3rd but at that point it was fine. When we picked up the 2 pieces they were wrapped in cellophane and cardboard. However, we opened it to set it up in our living room and the frame on the back piece of the couch was completely broken. I have called and called, for the past 3 months. Finally we had to pay $75 for fabric to fix our BRAND NEW BROKEN couch and we receive it and the tech comes out. The tech is unable to fix the framing on the couch and the fabric that was sent to us was incorrect. We were told we would get a call back in 24-48 hours it has been 5 days and now we are receiving voicemails and excuses as to why we cant have just exchange the couch for a new one like we paid for. We tried numerous couches and settled on one. Unfortunately we had a very shady salesman who decided not to inform us of their return policy. Then at the end when I signed the contract he scrolled through it and gave me no opportunity to read the fine print about returns. The next day we had changed our mind and I simply called to cancel my order, which I did not expect to be such an ordeal. Instead I was informed that I could only get a store credit or would have to pay a "restocking fee" for something I had purchased 12 hours prior. I spoke with the manager whom said that was the policy and actually hung up on me. I spoke with the salesman who stated he didn't think I would return it so he decided not to inform me of the return policy. I said he didn't let me read the contract and he said it was near closing and there was no time. I demanded he inform his manager of this and rectify the issue as he blatantly withheld important information. At this point neither the salesman or the manager would speak to me and instead had the secretary relay messages. Purchased a house full of furniture on June 22. Was told it would be in the warehouse July 9. While checking out, I'm then informed it will be July 16. Ridiculous, but I suck it up since I've already made my decision on the furniture. A week later I get a call that it will now be July 22. Again, ridiculous. But again - what choice do I have? I call again the week of the 16th to ensure that my furniture in fact will be delivered the week of the 22, and I am assured it is. It is now the 22, and I had to call and badger someone into finding out that they do not know when my furniture will come in. To say I am an angry would be an understatement. I am livid. The way Ashley has dealt with this is criminal - no one will tell me anything, no one will do anything to satisfy me. I believe they were well aware of how long it would take for these pieces to come in, and lied to my face. If I had known it would take TWO PLUS MONTHS for my furniture to come in, I would have gone somewhere else. My new home has been empty for a month waiting for the pieces I have chosen and paid nearly $2,000 for. The store manager tells me he will "buy me a drink" but can't give me a refund or any information about the items I ordered. Won't provide me with any sort of solution to what has been an unbelievable nightmare. DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS STORE. I now get to waste an evening of my life going down there to try and figure out what in God's name is going on. If anyone reads this DO NOT BUY FROM ASHLEY. I firmly believe he put the wrong base on the truck just to put me in this position, and now I am back in the store having wasted ANOTHER day of my life, having taken a day off of work, only for to me to now have NOWHERE to sleep since I can't put my mattress even on the ground anymore with the bed frame in my room. The "best they can do" is have something delivered tomorrow meaning I will have to take ANOTHER day off of of work. Do Not Shop at Ashley HomeStore. The sales rep told us our furniture was in stock and would be delivered by mid-February. As of mid-March we still do not have a date for the arrival to their warehouse. At least, the customer service representative was honest and confirmed that they had an issue with their sales representatives not being honest about delivery times. Stay away! read more

Worst customer service ever! Been 10 months now, and I still don't have all of my furniture. When I go to the store to inquire about delivery dates, the manager hides in the back of the store and tells his employees to say he is out of the building. When I call to inquirer, I'm put on hold indefinitely. I have literately sat in the store, called them, watched them put me on hold, and went back to doing nothing. The last delivery they scheduled with me was a no-show, no call. I ended up taking half a day off for nothing! Don't waste your time or money dealing with this place. Worse yet, don't get your blood pressure up with their crappy service and constant lies. read more

If I could give a lower rating, I would! What's up with this place? My husband bought a recliner in November. Told it should be in by the first week of December. Then told December 26. Still no recliner, they don't return calls, been on hold with customer care 20 minutes! Wish I had read reviews before he went there. Joanne, we have been told twice over the last month and a half that someone would check with the warehouse to find out what the delay is and attempt to expedite. No return calls on that nor has anyone advised of the pushed out "expected" delivery date. read more

Once again, I'll say it again, HORRIBLE!!! This store is ridiculous and the staff right along with it!! For the 2nd time I was scheduled for delivery and never got it! Didn't get a phone call or an update or anything! I go to the store where I bought it...Fredricksburg....and the "General Manager" tells me they can deliver in 3 days from now but can't tell me why they couldn't deliver today when they were supposed to!! I asked for my money back because 5 months of lies is beyond me! I'll take my business elsewhere because Ashely is completely crap!! If I could give this store 0 stars, I would. Please stay away from this location. The first time we ordered furniture, they delivered it without the hardware to assemble it. Two weeks later my son could finally sleep in his bed. This time, I got a bed delivered but no mattress. The store manager and Customer Care are giving me 2 different reasons why the mattress wasn't delivered. And now I'm being told the mattress is discontinued. The "replacement" mattress won't be delivered for 3 weeks and the store manager can't figure out why I'm upset. Yet when we look online, the mattress can be delivered in 4 days. Now I'm waiting for the store manager to "request" a refund for a product they know they can't deliver. Really??? Please go spend your money elsewhere. This place isn't worth the hassle! read more

BUYER BEWARE!!! This store has a policy that all purchases are final. What does that mean???? If the salesman tells you the piece you are interested in is on backorder but will be delivered in three WEEKS time, you can expect it in three MONTHS, if you're lucky. If you decide to believe him and go ahead with the purchase, you are locked in and cannot cancel the order even though you will have celebrated another birthday and several holidays before you get it. A pathetic way to do business and I for one will never purchase another item with Ashley HomeStore. So you know I am not exaggerating...I ordered a home office desk on October 5 and was told it would be delivered the first week in November. It's the first week in February and they still won't give me definitive time. They have my money, but I now doubt I will ever see my purchase. I think that is considered fraud. read more

Want so badly to pick up a couch from here but the last 3 times I've walked in to narrow my choices this same older woman chases me around the store. No matter how nicely I tell her I'm just checking something and don't need assistance she stalks me couch to couch with a comment for everything my eyes land on. At this point I'm going to spend $100 more to get a similar couch off amazon just so I don't have to deal with this saleswoman. I wish I could give 0 stars!!! This Store (9721 Jefferson Davis Hwy, Fredericksburg VA) has the worst customer Service to be a well known store. on 1/7/2021 I bought furniture, that was to be delivered on 1/9/21, due to my narrow stairwell, the 2 tiny movers were unable to get it up my stairwell, (I suggested they hoist it over my low balcony but I guess that was not an option) therefore I declined the furniture. Since the 11h of January, I have been trying to get my refund. I've called the store numerous times, I was told every time the manager was in a meeting, and he would call me back. I have never received a call back. I called the corporate office, the lady who answered listened, and said she would get with her supervisor and see what going on, and again no one ever followed up. Finally on 1/14/21, I visited the store, I spoke to someone identifying himself as the manager, he took my receipt, went behind the counter, it looked as if he was entering info into the computer, and finally said I was taken care of. Never the less, As of today 1/25/21, I still have not heard from anyone, nor have I received my refund. This is unacceptable, and demonstrates that Ashley do not care about its customers and their satisfaction. Sadly I will NEVER buy from Ashley furniture again, and I suggest you don't either. read more

Here is the chronicle of my experience and why the General Manager Kevin should be out of a job. My wife came to this store to purchase a dining room set. She dealt with Brandon the sales representative, who was perfectly nice and cordial to her. When it came down to pricing, he got the store's general manager Kevin involved because we were trying to price match an online price for the exact same set. He talked down to my wife. He didn't talk to my wife or with my wife, he treated her like something that was scraped off the bottom of his shoe. The only reason my wife actually bought the set was due to Brandon's excellent customer service. So a few days later we needed to purchase chairs and accent tables, so my wife calls the store and asks which manager is available on duty so she doesnt have to deal with Kevin. The man on the phone refuses to answer her simple question, instead repeatedly asking her what she wants until he puts her on hold due to his frustration. Outraged, she pulled me into the situation, and I called the store. I spoke to a woman on the other line, and I asked her if I could speak to the manager. She told me he was busy with a customer. I then asked who it was and if he could give me a call back because at this point I wanted to cancel and refund my purchase. She told me the managers name was Eddie and that he could give me a call back shortly. The next part of this migraine inducing saga was me dropping by the store an hour later asking to speak to Eddie. I am then told that he is out of the store, nobody knows where, and the very nice receptionist at the desk notifies him that someone is here wanting to speak to him. Eddie came back and I realized I had dealt with him before on a different purchase and he seemed to care for the customer. He was very apologetic and reduced the price on our original purchase as a gesture of good faith for future business. I appreciate the gesture and the consideration for quality customer service that he provided. It is obvious to me that some of the management in this store do not care about customer service or quality of service. The only thing on their minds is taking the money from consumers and making it as hard as possible to follow up with the order. As a manager in retail myself, I am appalled at this level of behavior and can certainly see why this store has such a low overall Yelp review. I do not see it changing in the future unless the mindset of the management changes. I know full well the salesforce's attitude reflects that of its management, and people like Brandon who work here eventually get the quality service mindset beaten out of them because after all, the management doesn't care, why should they? Everything here is overpriced and marked up. Be sure to comparison shop at other retails to get the best price. They do however, price match, but Kevin wont treat you with respect while doing it. As the store manager, he sets the tone, he is the leader, although it seems that he is about as bad of a leader as you can get. read more

This is the worst furniture store I have ever had to deal with! They have told lie after lie. I paid for delivery a month ahead and waited the entire time. The time came and went and still no furniture. I spent days on the phone trying to talk to someone with no results. Everyone I spoke to told me something different. The manager I spoke kept brushing me off and his attitude was like he had better things to do and was use to this. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. read more

I went in this store looking for a side chair. Nothing was clearly marked with a price (unless you wanted a set). When I finally got a price $1900 for two chairs, I almost fell over. When I said that was the price a high end furniture store less than a half of a mile away wanted for their chairs the "negotiation" began. I HATE negotiating for anything. I want to know the price, period. Ashley Furniture is bring car dealer negotiation to furniture shopping. UGH, I won't be back. read more
