I had an extremely disappointing experience at Ashley. From the moment I walked in, the manager (Sonia ) was overly pushy once she started trying to help, clearly more interested in making a quick sale than actually helping me find what I needed. It felt rushed and uncomfortable, and I didn't feel respected as a customer. What made things even worse was her unprofessional behavior after I decided not to make a purchase. As she walked away, she made a rude comment in Spanish, assuming I wouldn't understand--saying I didn't have any money to spend in the first place. Not only was that disrespectful and offensive, it was also completely false. I've never felt so disrespected while shopping. I expected a higher level of professionalism and basic courtesy, especially from a store that prides itself on customer service. I had heard good things about Ashley, and so bought a sofa (with 2 built-in recliners) and a separate recliner about 6 years ago. While the recliners all still are functional, I was shocked that within 2 years the very thin leather started to peel at seams and badly discolor in any part of them contacted in normal use. This was a $3,500 combo that I expected decades of life from. Had I known the leather was literally paper-thin I would have kept looking. I'll need to soon recover this set or buy new, and both are terribly costly. This is just inferior quality. By the way, I weigh 140 pounds. Can't imagine how bad the wear would show for larger folks. We bought a TV stand and an electric fireplace and set up delivery for it. We were told that was only in a few pieces and that it would be easy to set up. It was in about 50 pieces and they refused to bring the huge heavy box any further than our front porch. We then discovered that the fireplace they delivered was the wrong one and they told us we would have to wait another week for them to deliver the right one. Fast forward another week and now they are telling us it will be ANOTHER week before we will get the fireplace that we paid for 3 weeks ago. They were very rude and did not care that it had been so long and still not fixed. DO NOT Buy from Ashley unless you want nothing but frustration and poor customer service. read more

The bed I bought in Aug. of 2019 and delivered in Sept of 2019 collapsed last night. It is a wooden sleigh bed and it had a catastrophic fail where the footboard connects to the rails. My son was sleeping when this happened. Submitted pictures to the warranty team - went to the Fort Smith store to work this out. NOTHING is going to be done. I agree with all the comments about customer service. I have been trying to fix the delivery time. They have me scheduled for 8 PM to 11 PM delivery. REALLY????? I've been trying to correct this to AM but the customer "service" people are impossible to deal with. They will not fix this and simply say they have to "contact the warehouse." I am so close to canceling my order. After days and days of trying to fix, I am so fed up. 0 stars for Ashley. Will NEVER recommend or go back Update- 12/18/19: So they finally delivered the furniture on two separate occasions. Among the furniture were two bar stools. After about a month, as I was sitting on the stool, the seat came right off causing me to fall to the ground. I took the broken bar stool to the store to return it and its pair for a refund. They refused and of course referred me to the national call center, saying that the store cannot accept returns or process refunds. So I followed instructions and called the call center manned by minimum wage employees who only follow a script but know absolutely nothing and do even less. After three calls to the call center, the service rep said all sales final, no refund! I finally found an email address for customer service (what a joke). Wrote them and got an auto reply saying I would be contacted in 24 hours. That's was last week..... I placed the credit card charge in dispute. Store is beautifully set up, and customer service was top notch, but I am taking away one star for lack of product in stock. Our sales associate, Kim, was very friendly and knowledgeable. She even gave our 3 year old some crackers and a sucker, and provided us with some bottled water. She was very patient (we ended up staying an hour past closing time) and she wasn't pushy. She definitely made the whole experience a positive one. It may be the new "norm," or maybe we are naive, but we showed up with our trailer expecting to take something home with us. They had hardly anything available immediately, and it was going to take a minimum of two weeks to get a twin size bed for my daughter. The king size mattress we ordered would be delivered in two days though, so we were happy about that. read more

I ordered on 7/12/20 and agreed to a delivery of 8/15. I changed my order on 7/27 because my delivery was postponed till after 8/27. That delivery date was unacceptable. I picked a bed and mattress that was IN STOCK intentionally for a closer delivery date of 8/11. Called on 8/10 and was told that it's been changed to 8/18! Received text message on 8/12 that the furniture is available and will be delivered on 8/29. Confirmation email received 8/28 with delivery time of 5pm-8pm on 8/29. I confirmed time via email. I called customer service at noon on 8/29 to make sure my furniture was on the truck. NOPE! The delivery date changed again to 9/8 and blamed it on the pandemic!! I am so frustrated!! I have told the in-store associates and customer service that I will pick up if I know the location. However, no one will give me pick up location. I filed a complaint on 8/30 and was contacted by the escalation team. My furniture delivery was pushed back again to 9/18. Ashley furniture is not trustworthy and will tell you anything to get your money without honoring their delivery dates. I would give Ashley furniture zero stars if I could. read more

READ THIS BEFORE BUYING ANYTHING FROM ASHLEY FURNITURE!!!! ABSOLUTELY THE WORST CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE!!!! I ordered a 5-piece sectional and ottoman on July 1st. Everything was in stock except the corner (Wedge) piece. I asked if I could have everything except the corner shipped immediately. Was told that wasn't possible and had to wait for the order to be complete before it could be shipped. Waited 1.5 months for the order to be shipped. August 17th received a call that the order would arrive on the 18th, but 2 pieces were now on backorder. Truck arrives next day with only 2 of the 6 pieces. Now 4 pieces were on backorder. Many trips to the store and many more phone calls that were never returned over the next several weeks. Friday Sept 14th I call again to check on the status of the order. I'm told the entire order is in stock, but didn't know why I wasn't contacted with a delivery date. I was told I would have to wait 4 more weeks before it could be delivered. Promised a return phone call again, but as usual I never received one. Sat Sept 15th I return to the store, my order is pulled up and shows everything in stock. I'm told the earliest it can be delivered is Oct 3rd. As soon as the Oct 3rd delivery date is applied 2 of the 4 pieces are placed on backorder. I called Ashley customer care on the way home and asked to speak to a supervisor. I'm on hold for 20 minutes and then told that they can't allow me to block a phone line any longer and a supervisor will return my call. Again, no return call. I called back again today and I'm told there are no supervisors working today and they will return my call. Not holding my breath. So after 2.5 months of an empty living room, dozens of phone calls and many trips to the store, I have not once received a returned phone call or been given any explanation of the problem or a solution. I ordered a night stand for my granddaughter on 07/29/2020 and I have been given 6 delivery dates and have yet to receive the nightstand. I have call many times and have had to set on hold for at least 30-45 minutes a time, and everyone states that they can't do anything because it is on back order! They lied to me. My sectional isn't even complete. The manager and assistant manager flat out lied to me. One excuse after another. I still have missing parts to my sectional - the entire corner. My seating isn't safe and will fall over. Horrible waste of thousands of dollars. They lie. They cheat and don't care at all. Attorney general time no return call from corp either. I will NEVER ever buy/order from Ashley Furniture again. This place has to be the biggest joke I've ever dealt with. Customer service is hands down the worst, ohhhhh IF, IF you can actually get through to anyone. It is September and I ordered a couch through them in February and within a month the feet rests broke on both sides. I paid extra for the extended insurance that would replace any damage or broken pieces for the life of the couch. When I originally called in March they put in an order for someone to come out and assess the damage....still waiting on that guy.... I kept calling and of course they said there was nothing they can do.... excuse me!?!? Later that month I received boxes of replacement parts on my front porch, so I called them back up and after waiting over an hour someone answered and told me that they were for the full size couch when it was my love seat that was broke, so big shocker, they sent me the wrong piece because Ashley Furniture has NO IDEA what their doing. I asked they to come pick them up, well they are still sitting in my garage. Once again I called again and they asked me to take pics of the damage and email them to them, well I did as they said and no one ever got back to me. So by this point it's been about 2-3 months. I call again and they asked me to send them pictures and send them to them as they have no notes in the system that I reported the love seat broken! Are you kidding me!?!? Started going into the store and they just kept telling me "I have no idea what's going on, let's order a new love seat to be delivered" ok well here we are 7 months after my first call in and still no replacement couch!!! I agree with Sandy O.......if I had read these reviews first I would have never shopped at this store. The sales lady we first encountered was very nice (although not all together informed). We were shopping for a bed and mattress. While looking at mattresses she mentioned that the one we were looking at "we will deliver and set that up". Well, call me naïve, but she didn't mention a charge and at that price we thought she meant it was included....this was not a cheap mattress. My wife went back a couple of days later and purchased a bed and the mattress in question. They went over the invoice with her EXCEPT for the $179.00 LOCAL delivery charge that they tacked on at the end. After she got home and discussing how we thought it was a little more than we anticipated, we discovered the charge on the invoice. When I contacted them, they were shocked that I thought that was an extremely high local delivery charge for a bed. BTW, a Manager, any Manager would not speak to me. The "nice" sales lady told me that she assumed I knew that there would be a charge and assured me that they went over the entire invoice with my wife, which my wife denies. Anyway, after being told that a Manager would contact me, of course I didn't hear from one. I have no luck with my return calls (two of them) in getting a Manager to talk with me.....they always seem to be busy when I call and have never bothered to return my calls. We had also purchased an expensive mattress pad with the original purchase. I decided to take it back to the store to recoup some of my money at which time the employees were shocked that I brought it back and cautioned me that my 90-day warranty would be void if I didn't use a mattress pad. I assured them that I had one purchased somewhere else at 1/3 of the price of that one and was using it. Reluctantly, the office manager started processing my refund which, of course, will have to be mailed to me in 7-10 days. She also promised to include a $100.00 partial refund of the delivery fee that I paid when I complained about it in person. It has been almost three weeks now and no sign of my check in the mail from Ashley. What a surprise. First of all, if you are considering a purchase from this store beware of the hidden fees that are added on (shame on us for not catching it). And, secondly, if you have a problem, don't expect any help from Management.......they seem to be too busy. On a brighter note......the two gentlemen that performed the delivery were excellent! I shopped all around the Fort Smith area for the right couch and love seat combo. I was not having much luck in finding what I wanted. Then I went into Ashleys and found multiple combos that I liked. The staff was very friendly and worked with me on the price. They have in house financing available for people who need to go that route. The only reason I'm giving them 4 stars is because of the delivery time. They have so many orders going out right now that the earliest I can possibly get it is a week from the order date. Other than that I an a satisfied customer and would recommend them to a friend. read more

BEWARE. BEWARE. Would have given 0 stars if I could. I am a 70 year old that just spent the last couple of days at the ER with extremely high blood pressure. This situation is definately not helping. Bought a recliner and was told it would be delivered 5/23/19 between 6:15 pm and 9:15 pm by email. Wanted to get it delivered earlier In the day if I could so called the 866 phone number. Was told they could not help me so I called the local store and spoke with JESSICA. She said she would see what could be done and call me back. JESSICA NEVER called me back. No one called me back. So in order for them to deliver you have to confirm delivery on their email. I reluctantly confirmed so delivery would be made at the time they indicated. Never heard anything more from them. Now it is the date and time the delivery was to be made so I went to the email to track my order. In the status it said "unable to start". Not knowing what that meant I called the 866 number again. Again they were unable to help me. Call the store where purchase was made. Girl said she would call the driver to see if the recliner was on the truck. This girl did call me back and told me that she could see where I confirmed the delivery and it should have been put on the truck out of Springfield Mo to Fort Smith to be delivered but was not. So the recliner that was confirmed for delivery tonight in Fort Smith is still in Springfield. Asked this girl why I was not notified but she had no answer. Now this girl said she would contact the warehouse manager to see if they could get the recliner on a truck and deliver it to me by this Saturday. Asked if someone would notify me. She responded that she would leave a "note" to let others know what was going on in hopes someone would call me (not holding my breath). Asked to speak with Brad my salesman. Confirmed that he was working tomorrow and asked him personally to call me. (Again not holding my breath). These people make you sign paperwork that if you cancel your order you pay a 10 % restocking charge. So is this how they make their money? Will update after or IF recliner is delivered. NEW UPDATE; I received a call from the Springfield warehouse this morning wanting to reschedule my delivery for May 31. I let it go like that because I wanted to talk to the local store. I never heard from the local store this morning. or my salesman BRAD. so I called and spoke with JESSICA again. She tells me that the chair was not put on the truck in Springfield because they did not have one in the warehouse. However my salesman BRAD told me when I bought it it it was in stock at the warehouse. They have delivery trucks coming out of Springfield Missouri to Fort Smith every day Tuesday through Saturday per JESSICA. Again she told me she would contact warehouse and the only way she could contact the warehouse was by email and had to wait for a response. Funny I have a phone # to call the warehouse. When she got the response JESSICA promised to call me back again. After her not returning my call the first time I spoke with her I am definitely leery about her returning my call this time. I bought a dresser from this store for $699. My house recently was flooded and they had told my husband and I they were giving discounts around 20% off to the flood victims. Hearing this we decided to buy from them. After I went to buy the dresser they told us their was a shipping fee of $99. I felt like this was withheld until the last step of me buying this dresser so I went ahead with the purchase. The discount given was 10% which was very kind and generous however I felt lied to about the discount from the initial worker who told us 20%, which was one of the reasons we decided to buy from Ashley. I ended up cancelling my order because I didn't feel good about the sale and found a waaaay better deal somewhere else. Also the manager working was very rude to his employees right in front of my face and I thought it was extremely unprofessional. Then he would be very kind towards me which just came off as very fake. Overall, I would never buy from them ever again. They also charge you about a 10% fee of your order to cancel so beware of that (that was never mentioned at the time of the sale). 10/10 would NOT recommend. read more

They brought out a dining table that did not have the holes drilled to attach the legs tothe base. They wanted to send a repair man out to drill out the holes or charge me 10% restocking fee..........Store manager "Stanton" is rude, arrogant and is a complete jerk. No one wanted to listen to the fact that they produced a table that was not usable. Some how it was my fault. They used the restocking fee as leverage or extortion to get me to reorder the table...... keep in mind that's another four weeks. Sales reps made eye contact but said nothing. We left and took the hint that they did not want our money. After waiting for more than 15 years to purchase new LR furniture, my husband and I went to Ashley's and bought a really nice LR set with two recliners. We spent more than five thousand dollars on the set and were thrilled to have it delivered and set up in our home. The furniture was delivered on Feb. 13, 2016 and within 24 hours we noticed that the legs were bent on one of the recliners. We went to the store in Fort Smith and told our salesperson (Idonna) and she assured us that a report would be filed and new legs sent to us - and all that we would need to do is call when the legs arrived and a service tech would come and install them for us. We waited for an entire month and no one called to follow up, no legs arrived. I began calling Ashley DAILY on March 11. It took five days for someone to return my call - and that is with me calling daily, leaving messages etc.... I was promised on the 16th that a tech would be at my home on the 18th between 8 am and noon to fix the legs. At 4:30 PM when no phone call came and no tech was to be found, I called again. This time I spoke with Jeremy and he promised me that the tech would be at my home no later than 5:05 PM to fix the problem. As I sit here writing this review, missing my dinner plans for the evening it is 5:20 and there is still no tech at my home. Next time I need furniture I will drive to Tulsa or somewhere else - - but I will NEVER buy furniture from Ashley in Fort Smith again. This is ridiculous! read more
