I have purchased multiple items from Ashley furniture in Houma LA and each time it has been a disappointing experience. I purchased a sofa about a year ago and they insisted I buy the extended warranty. The 1st one they delivered had a piece of the arm missing. The 2nd one had dry rotted fabric that kept tearing. When I contacted the warranty company they refused any service. I went into the Houma store to see about a refund on the warranty or another sofa and the 1st manager Mr. Darcy said he would give me the one in their breakroom. It was saggy, faded, and dirty. The other manager Courtney said she would get me a replacement sofa for my defective one. Week after week passed and every time I checked in with her she would make excuses. The last time I went into the store this 400 pound lady sitting behind the sales desk scarfing down a bag of chips lied to me and said Courtney wasn't there but just a few minutes later Courtney called me saying she was in the store and would "check" on the replacement again. Again it was a lie. I am buying a new home with a $10,000 budget for furniture and I will not be going back to Ashley nor will I buy any Ashley product from other furniture stores. I would leave zero stars if it would let me.. This company has to be the most ignorant, unorganized and confused company on the planet. I have had nothing but issues starting back in July of 2020..here it is almost a year later and they are still pissing me off. Their delivery unit is beyond incapable of actually communicating with each other to get anything right. Now I'm dealing with the same issues with the service department. Take a vacation day to be home to get my not even a year old sofa repaired. Called Ashley myself to verify the date they would come. They tell me June 9th.. The service man just called to verify him coming on June 8th...its a shit show I will never in my life ever do any business with this corn hole company. read more

Worst experience ever. I ended up in the store because the online store advertised a product, confirmed the order and delivery date, then 3 days later told me two of the items were discontinued and no longer available, but they still advertise them today as available with 4-6 week delivery. Not to mention shipped the third accent piece that was useless without the rest of the set. So in the store I go, I sat on a piece of furniture and told the associate I want this one, just like this but not a sleeper. They told me about a special deal that I took but when I checked out, one item was not available for over a month and they would not deliver them until they were all available, unless I split the order in two, which now meant I did not qualify for the special offer. I should have walked out. I continued and was given papers to sign. The papers had a picture of a different color item than I wanted and I asked the girl, did you order the right color, she said yes this is just a picture they put on there don't worry I checked the scews. Mistake. Items got delivered today. They didn't look like the right color but they also didn't look like the pictures on the website of the color I didn't want, but the scew numbers matched the delivery tickets so I wasn't sure if I made a bad color choice or if the order was wrong. I went to the store immediately and realized this was not the right color and they had messed up. Once the associate got off her personal phone call long enough to help me she confirmed they had the product in the store marked wrong and it was there mistake. However, I got a lot of well you accepted it along with other unpleasant attitude. Colors look different in stores then they do in your house. Until I was able to research the scew numbers and go back to the store and see what I told them I wanted I could not be 100% sure it was wrong or if I misjudged color. I doubt the non-English speaking delivery persons were going to be much help with that dilemma anyway. Now I'm being told a month for exchange but maybe one piece can be available Friday. Ashley furniture as a whole has mis-lead, provided false information and simply acted in bad faith at every step of the process. This is a horrible company to do business with. read more

Ashley home store is a joke. Their distribution system is stupid. We had a bed delivered and in two months a bed rail was broken. It was still under warranty and I sent pictures off to get repairs or parts. It looked as if their should have been more bed rails. their were only 3 rails for a king size bed. tried contacting them 3 times to see what parts were ordered and no one could tell me. I check my mailbox to find a baggy of screws. contacted them again and told me that all was ordered was screws to fix a cracked bed rail. Finally got them to agree to just take it back because by this point we had slept on the floor a month. Still can't get them to pick up thier pos bed frame and no refund. I am literally about to throw the frame out in front of mlk drive for all of Houma to see. read more

Never shop at Ashley furniture! Would give 0 stars if possible! Sharing my horror story! On November 30th, I decided I wanted to buy a new sofa and love seat I went to Ashley Furniture because I had previously seen a set I liked well I fell in love with a somewhat expensive set they had on the floor. I ordered and set a delivery date of 12/18 well day of delivery they called said they didn't have sofa available. Could they deliver the love seat I think no big deal sure . Well 4 scheduled then cancelled delivery dates and 2 months since I originally ordered, my sofa FINALLY delivers....and it's not the same color! Call to store and go in person and the only thing they can do is authorize an exchange in hopes the next one will match! After two months and being jerked around all I want is them to pick it up and refund. The store managers can not authorize this it has to be sent to someone else so now I have to wait even longer before things are resolved! My suggestion is DO NOT SHOP THERE! It's not worth the hassle and lack of ability to quickly resolve issues. From what I understand this is a change to ALL Ashley's! There are better Choices! Ashley's sucks! read more

Their customer service doesn't exist and it feels like their business model is just to run you around till you give up and they keep their money and you get broken pieces and parts of what you ordered months after you ordered it, and then, try and charge you more to deliver the missing parts. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. I bought a new home and decided to furnish it via Ashley Home Store. Kristi the salesperson is great. However, this company clearly needs to be revamped from the inside out. When it came time to deliver my bedroom furniture, the driver informed me that the headboard and footboard were on back order. He wanted to drop of the other pieces, however I don't have room to just have pieces of a bed laying around so I rejected the bed set until they could deliver and assemble the entire bed at one time. The driver was not only rude to me and had an attitude, he was rude to the Kristi who I called to try and get everything situated. They took everything back with the exception of my dresser which I said they could delivery. They rescheduled the delivery for the remainder of my stuff the following week. I've already been sleeping on an air mattress for 2 weeks, what's 1 more? The following delivery day comes and it's a new driver. He informs me that they don't have all the pieces!!!! Apparently the previous driver marked down that they left 2 pieces here when he didn't. Then instead of deliverying my chest of drawers they tried to deliver a 2nd dresser! I told him I wanted to reject the delivery. The driver said he understands rejecting the dresser, but rejecting the bed pieces would cause him trouble because they are big pieces that would make the remainder of his deliveries challenging because they would be in the way. He asked me to accept the pieces and that he would return with the other pieces after his route and get everything set up. I told him if he would in fact return to set everything up I would accept. Well, he only told me what I wanted to hear so that the remainder of his deliveries wouldn't be challenging. Not only did he not show up, he ignored my phone calls when I was trying to get an eta of when he would be here to finish. Because he did not show I have all of these huge bed pieces just laying around my room with no room to set back up my air mattress and sleep. So for two nights I have been sleeping on my wood floors!!!! I got in contact with Mu saleswoman Kristi and asked that some one high up call me first thing in the morning so that I could vent my frustrations and come to a resolution. I told her that if this could not be done I would like to arrange for everything to be returned and issued a full refund so that I may take my business else where. Well I waited all day for a phone call and nothing!!!! I understand that it's Black Friday, the busiest shopping day of the year, but I would think it's a little more important to take care of a current dissatisfied customer who could potential bring more future business rather than trying to lure new customer to later dissatisfy. I can't believe how horrific and appalling this whole experience has been. This company needs to get it together or just be put out of business. I'm going to give them the opportunity to rectify this whole situation, and depending what they do for me I may do future business with them, but at this point I would recommend staying away from their business and take your furnishing needs to a more functional company that has all their ducks in a row. read more

So this isn't directed specifically to the Houma location, but rather to Ashley Furniture as a company. Back in early June 2022, we ordered a new sofa & love seat. It was scheduled for delivery on July 14th. I get a call a couple days ahead telling us that the love sofa is on back order, but we can get a partial delivery (which we agreed to with hesitation.) When the sofa was delivered, it was actually broken and the driver of the delivery told us we had to contact Ashley the next morning about this issue. After speaking with a very pleasant woman, she informed us that we were never going to get the love sofa as it has been discontinued. Now we are really frustrated so we go to the location which we ordered it and requested a refund. The clerk in the store processed everything and we left to go search elsewhere. While we were shopping, we get a call from the corporate office stating our refund has been denied and we HAVE to purchase another item within 14 days or we will lose our credit and the option of getting something different. Now we are really ticked off. We talked to several customer service reps and they all told us the same thing and one of them even hung up on us in the middle of a conversation. Now I'm really fired up. We head back to the store to explain what we were told and they seemed surprised as they stated that is not their policy, but was going to look into it. We go home, ponder on it for a day, go back to the store and decide we will just go with the the set we originally wanted, but didn't get because it wasn't real leather even though it is specified in their description. We found out it is actually Faux Leather, but at this point we are feeling our hands are tied and we don't have the money to hire a lawyer since Ashley has basically threated to "steal" our money from us. July 15, 2022, we place the order to replace the set that we partially received since it was discontinued. August 25th, we again received on partial delivery of this new order stating the big sofa is on back order and advised it would be 2 weeks but we can deliver the love sofa. I call August 31st to check the status and was told item is not available for delivery and it will be 2 weeks. On September 7th, I receive a call from Ashley stating they are ready to schedule the delivery of our big sofa. We scheduled it for September 28th. Well, what do you know, I call on the 27th since we didn't receive confirmation of the delivery for that date and it is yet again "unavailable for delivery." So I call the corporate office again and all they can say it is back ordered and might get it October 19th. From this experience, we will NEVER EVER purchase anything again from them. The item we purchased is supposedly one of their best sellers and never have issues. They keep blaming it on Covid as to why things are so late, but how can you deliver one piece of the furniture and not have the other one? I am at a loss for words now and don't know what to do. We continue to sit on the broken sofa and have no matching set that we want. read more

I ordered a sofa in July and it was finally delivered today. Unfortunately, it was in terrible condition and I immediately returned it. The delivery men could not offer any help in starting the return process. I called the 877 number in my receipt and waiter for over 45 minutes to be told to call my local store I purchased it from. I called the Ashley HomeStore in Houma today and finally got through to someone. They told me I'd need to call the 877 number, which I had already called! After a few minutes, she told me my ticket would be locked until 7PM and that she'd call me at 7PM to help issue the return. Of course, 30 minutes I've been waiting and no call. Let me start by saying Doug and Debbie were helpful at this location. However, I am very dissatisfied with Ashley. I understand with covid things are on back order, and may take longer than usual. However, I find the wait time, and when I finally got the product, completely unacceptable from Ashley. I purchased a dresser in May over Memorial Day weekend. I was informed then the dresser was on back order and out of stock until June 28th. I said that was fine and set up a delivery for the first week in a July. Well, I got a delivery notification a few days before the July delivery, but then late afternoon, the day before the delivery, I got a call that it was canceled. They rescheduled the delivery for July 28th, that was canceled again. Rescheduled for August 6th, canceled again. At this point I went into the store and Doug and Debbie were helpful. They escalated the situation and found a dresser that could be delivered August 14th. I was skeptical that it would be delivered, but accepted this final attempt before canceling. Well this dresser showed up, not in a box, all dinged up on the bottom, and part of the dresser peeling away. This is an unacceptable way to receive the dresser. The delivery persons told my husband to just refuse it, which we did, and they left. We called Ashley to complain to which then we were informed, we could've kept the dresser, until a new one arrived. Not my first choice to do, but I'm currently pregnant and almost due, so I felt that at least gave me the dresser I needed. Well we called the delivery crew back, they didn't answer. Debbie escalated a ticket to the warehouse to keep the dresser and redeliver. They never responded and sent the dresser back to the original warehouse. Ashley then stated our next delivery date wouldn't be until the first week of OCTOBER! Past my due date, and months after we purchased this dresser in MAY! We were told by this local Ashley had we just accepted the dresser it wouldn't be a problem. Well the delivery crew didn't tell us that, it was never discussed pre-delivery, and I didn't want to accept a damaged dresser and be stuck with it. Well we went to a local furniture store, Louis Mohana, bought them EXACT same dresser from them on a Tuesday, and had the dresser delivered Thursday in PERFECT condition. 2 days for delivery, compared to waiting for over 3 months with Ashely and another 1.5 months for the next delivery. 4.5 months is way too long for delivery. Especially when they take your money and hold onto it. From now on I will never deal with Ashley, and I will go right to Louis Mohana in the beginning. So thankful to them for finally getting me the dresser! read more

Horrible horrible horrible experience!! Ordered my furniture on June 20, 2020 and I have yet to receive my sofa set 6 months later!! My sofa NEVER made it to my house which they said I received on Oct 7 but it was forgot to put on the truck. Personally I think someone is enjoying my sofa for free!! My rocker love seat came broken which they picked up on Nov 14 and I have yet to see that too and mind you I am paying on this crap that I do not have!!! DO NOT PURCHASE ANY THING FROM ASHLEY'S!! I do not have enough room here to write the horrible experience we are having since October 12, 2019. We have been lied to, blown off, not contacted, and not helped in any way. Clayton was our sales person, who was amazing, and his manager, who's name I didn't get, both gave 100% customer service to my wife and I. They were both very knowledgeable about the product and very helpful with answering any questions we had. Purchased a bed and mattress set from them. Received the mattress set and bed separately. I specifically asked when the bed is delivered if they would set up the mattress and box springs. I was told yes. Yesterday morning I received the bed. I was told that they would have to finish all their deliveries because the storage drawers were in the front of the truck. They showed back up after 8PM, put the storage drawers in and left. They did not finish setting up the bed (king size). So I was left trying to pick up a heavy king size mattress over the footboard. Not only that but the drawers came broken. One glide rail is missing, the other is bent and the other drawers doesn't sit flush. There is a huge gap. I called customer service this morning only to be left on hold. (3 hours, 2 hand ups, and given the wrong number for "roadside assistance" I was finally told that my local HOUMA store is a franchise and they have their own customer service number. Called that number to be put on hold yet again and told that I would have to wait up to 3 weeks for the railings to be shipped to my house and then call them back to set up a date for a technician to come out and fix my bed. Waited over a month for the bed to wait another month. Needless to say, still waiting on the mattress protector which I was told that I would have to pick up from the store. No telling when the store will reopen. Thanks Ashley, never again will I make a purchase from yall. Better off purchasing from Walmart or Big Lots. Half the price and same shitty quality. read more

While our sales rep, Bea, was awesome to work with, the service provided by the store itself was and is less than desirable. It took forever to get our order ,which is expected I guess, due to Covid. However, you can't seem to get anyone on the phone to talk to when you call and when I finally did get someone to answer the phone, I wanted to speak to someone about providing a compliment on our delivery drivers and was told someone would have to call me back. They took my name and number but no one has called me back yet..and I called in February. As for the Ashley Cash promotion, that's a joke as well. We were supposed to get our vouchers up to two weeks after final delivery. Our final delivery was on February 13 and we still have not seen the Ashley Cash vouchers. I was told to call the rewards center who told me that Ashley never sent my information over. I had to send them a copy of my invoice and they would reach out to Ashley for verification. (Not sure why I should have to do someone else's job). That was two weeks ago and still no Ashley Cash. We are not talking high dollars here but if you're going to sell a promotion, HONOR IT and FOLLOW THROUGH. And I don't blame the rewards center...I blame Ashley because the Houma location's customer service after the sale is NOT commendable or reliable. This was by far ourvbest purchasing experience ever. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a salesperson by the name of Shon Aull. He introduced himself and asked what we were interested in. We told him what we had in mind and he pointed out what sections of the store would have something similar to what we were interested in. He then said that he would give us our space and let us browse and to let him know if we need anything. This is one thing that we have always looked for in a salesperson, someone that would allow us to look around uninterrupted but there if we need them. About 10 minutes in to our walk around, Shon approached us again and said that he knows exactly what we are looking for and to follow him so we did. Well he was right on point. He visualized exactly what we wanted and we ended up purchasing this exact living room set and also a new dining set as well. We really did not have any intentions of purchasing anything before arriving because we wanted to make sure we found the furniture that we have been searching for. Shon made the experience worth choosing Ashley Home Store to purchase our new furniture. If anyone is out shopping for new furniture at Ashley, don't hesitate to ask for Shon.
