I only wish I could rate my experience with Ashley as zero stars - while the service at Lemay store was fine and the salesperson Scott was very positive, the follow up service with Ashley customer service was intolerable. I ordered a couch and loveseat set from the Lemay store in May of 2021, after multiple delivery attempts of the wrong furniture I finally received the set I had ordered in late July. After 3-weeks in my home I noticed significant wear and pilling of the fabric on the couches. After multiple calls to the service center I was finally told to send in pictures of the wear and fabric pilling and was told that it could not be repaired and that I would need new cushions or order a different couch. Based on the terrible experience with the current couch I requested a refund and just wanted to return the set. I was told that this was not possible and was moved up a so called 'escalation chain' at the customer service call center. After speaking with an extremely rude manager I was then told there was no remedy and that I will have to just keep the couch. It seems the further up the customer service chain you go the less responsive they are. I am now stuck with a couch and loveseat set that continues to show significant wear and now looks worse than the 14 year old couch I replaced. I strongly recommend you avoid any dealing with Ashley Home Store and furniture - poor customer service and no accountability on their part to take care of their customers - especially when obviously defective furniture set is delivered. If I could give zero stars, then I would. Sales guy said my sectional would be delivered on February 22nd. Then they said not until March 8th, then the delivery drivers brought 2 left arm pieces instead of a right and left arm, so scheduled for delivery for that piece on March 11th. I took off work again for delivery, they didn't show up. I called and received the run around with no explanation why they didn't show up. I even received confirmation that it would be delivered today. Now they are saying March 16th for the other piece. So that's 2 extra days I have taken off work to be home for delivery due to their incompetent business practices. Do yourself a favor and order from Wayfair or Joss&Main! Ordered around $9,000 of furniture from South County location in May. Majority of the furniture had a June arrival according to Kourtney with a K. She was pretty nice. June rolled around and we received a little less than 10% of the order. In the meantime, we realized they had put our shipping address as our billing address (just moved) so we got it changed, or so they said. Anyways, July rolls around, still no furniture. We call in July, they tell us only a couple weeks. We call back on early August, and it's only another couple weeks, but now the escalation team is dealing with it!! We call in late august, still nothing. At this point, it was a little frustrating, but hey were in the middle of a pandemic, give them benefit of a doubt. September rolls around and they finally have some of the order almost ready. Only problem is that the shipping address is still wrong. We changed it again. They can't deliver because it was wrong. Next week comes around, and I receive a text and automated message about my Tuesday delivery. The address is still wrong! I call them again and of course it's my fault, and they have to cancel the order and deliver ANOTHER week later. At this point, I'm aggravated, but I've waited so long and it's so close, so whatever. Sure enough I get a message this past week through text and phone automation, with the wrong address still. At this point I don't call so they can tell me it was my fault. I wait for them to call me and say, hey wrong address, hoping they deliver to me a mile away. Nope, they call and act mad at me that the address is wrong. So I call customer service, which is almost impossible to get ahold of, but somehow get through! I ask the lady what my address is, she gives me the correct address. She promises it'll be there in a week at that address, just like the other four did. I ask to talk to a manager because at this point I have no confidence that it will ship. She says he's busy but promises he'll call back in 20 minutes. Of course, in true Ashley customer service fashion, I never got a call back. The phone calls are always recorded. Please look up all 20 of them. Ashley furniture has been the absolute worst communicators, with each other and me, that I've ever been a part of. Most importantly, the absolute worst customer service I've ever received from a company. Not one time did they acknowledge they were in the wrong. If anything, it was my fault. Not one time did they try to make it right or appease me. I just had to deal with it. To this day, no furniture. Ashley furniture is more worried about their one time big sale on the guest than the lifelong value of a guest. I really hope they read that last sentence over and over, because I'd like to see them survive and thrive, but they need to fix their philosophy first. Once I receive my furniture, if I ever do, I'm done. Especially after the bitter taste the customer service team has repeatedly left in my mouth. And I bet I'm not alone. The store associate ensured me that the sectional would be delivered much faster than the text updates are stating. The young man that waited on me was immature and had no knowledge of the furniture in the store. He was chomping on a big wad of gum and blowing bubbles. Ashley has a mixed reputation, so I was wary about buying furniture here. First, we tried the Kirkwood location, but it has converted to a Phillips Furniture store so the Ashley was closing and everything was picked over. So we headed to the South County location. Believe me, the prices are right here. The stuff isn't TOP QUALITY, but for what you're paying, the style is all there. The furniture is contemporary and traditional, not really modern. I found a lot of things I liked, including some of the decor on the walls. We worked with Krista Wind. She's great! So helpful. In the end, we wound up with a great couch, loveseat, chair and chaise all for under $2,000. You can't beat that! It's comfy and looks great in our home. I moved recently and was on a mission to find a new couch and chair. I visited this place several times and often left annoyed with the sales people. I know they're on commission, they made it pretty obvious, but some of them were so pushy it was really off-putting. One of the times I walked in, sat on a couch, said it was comfortable, and the lady started writing the sale report. I left shortly after. I finally selected the couch and chair I wanted and luckily the last time I went in to actually order it I ended up with a sales person that wasn't jumping down my throat. Two days before delivery is when the real problem came. When putting in the order, the sales person entered the wrong address for delivery. The call you receive only comes two days prior to delivery and is a recording so you can't immediately fix the problem. The recording gives you a number to call and when you do, you are met with yet another recording asking you to leave a message. No one calls you back. I called the actual store and the first time the girl told me there was nothing they could do and to call this number, again it was the recording. Near the end of the day I called the store again since I never received a call back and got a different girl who sent an email to the delivery department giving them the new address. I thought there was nothing they could do? See, it all depends on the people you get at this store. The actual delivery went okay. They were on time and polite. They did scratch the back of my couch but after making them carry it to the third floor of an apartment building I'm surprised that's all that was damaged. Unfortunately I didn't notice the scratch until the paper was signed and they were out the door... they did leave rather quickly. read more

My boyfriend and I recently went couch shopping at this location. We were on a fairly tight budget, $500-$700. We were shopping well within our price range and were close to making a smart decision. That is until the sales woman, Kim, came over. She starts telling us that we could get financing with 0% interest for up to 24 months if we spent $1000. We were like well we are spending $500 today and another $500 would be easily paid of in 24 months so we started looking at pricier pieces. We found an awesome looking sectional for $1000 and totally fell in love. We decided to go with the financing in order to get something great. That's when the problems started. She then explains that to get financing she would need to get me approved through banks which with each call I would take a "soft hit" to my credit score. My credit is decent so I wasn't too worried, but somehow I was declined for both 24 month and 12 month financing. Boyfriend and I are starting to feel uneasy and tell them ok well there was another couch in our price range we saw earlier. That comment basically went right over her head and she wouldn't hear of it. She starts on talking about giving us a discount to bring the cost of the more expensive couch down and we can get "in store" financing that we needed to talk to someone at the "acceptance" desk for. By this point we knew we were being wildly manipulated and I didn't want to do it but they pushed us over to the "acceptance" desk any way. This woman starts talking a bunch of veiled language, obviously a script for people a bit more naive who would think it was a good deal. The deal was they lease the couch to us and if we pay off the remaining $500 in 90 days it's "as good as cash". I tell her that would be impossible for us so what then. Then there are leasing fees whose amounts vary from person to person based on how long you take to pay it. When I was trying to gauge how much it would be she was rude and reluctant to burp out a number but finally says, "if you take 4 months to pay it off it may be like $100-200 in leasing fees or if you take 6 months it may be closer to $500-600". So on top of the $500 I'd have to pay off I'd be stuck with never ending leasing fees that I would be able to pay and my credit would be in the toilet, despite her assurances that it would be good for my credit". Yeah right lady, I'm no fool. Those fees would've ruined me. They had already wrote up all the papers for the financing and order despite my persistent demand of no I don't want this. We finally had to demand adamantly that they give us the papers so we could leave. We are for all intents and purposes running out the door when suddenly Kim spots is from the other end of the store and like some zombie stepford wife corners us in Mach speed. Still trying to keep us talking and wanting that couch. We escaped feeling dirty, used and manipulated like we just had a one night stand with a cheap hooker. Very awful place. Extremely manipulative. Will report to the better business bureau. read more

I bought a bedroom set and mattress from Ashley's furniture March 2022 for almost $10,000. My bed was delivered without the draws. Then it took several months for the draws to be delivered. After finally receiving all 4 draws they sent a person to my house to install the draws, but all the parts were not received. I still needed the hardware in order for the draws to slide in/out. After calling Ashley's for months to get the parts order they tell me, the parts are discontinued cannot be order. I asked they either refund our money and come get their furniture or allow us to come pick out a new set. Also the dresser and night stands were delivered with scratches on them. Ashley's is refusing to help me and are telling me I have to keep the incomplete furniture. I have poor customer service and the store managers have been nothing but rude. AWFUL EXPERIENCE. My fiancee and I bought 8 dining chairs from them almost 3 weeks ago and still have yet to get all of the chairs. The entire experience has been horrendous. Here's what we've dealt with: - Were promised the chairs would be ready for pick-up 9 days from our order. If there was an issue we'd get a call. No call came after 9 days, so I called and they told us only 3 of the 8 chairs had arrived. Was told it would be at least another week to get the rest, but they might come sooner so try again after a few more days. - I call a few days later and they tell us all the chairs arrived. I go to pick them up and they start to load the WRONG CHAIRS. I tell them they are not the correct chairs to which the warehouse told me I had to call the sales store to sort it out, not their problem. So begins the process of me playing middle man between the sales store and warehouse FOR THE NEXT 90 MINUTES. Sales says it's warehouses fault and warehouse says it's sales fault. - Sales store says the tags in the store must have gotten mixed up and they "lucked out" because they have the 8 chairs we actually purchased in the warehouse. Warehouse employee proceeds to bring me the 8 chairs, 6 in boxes and 2 on top of the boxes. The 2 on top have brown stains on them so asked if they had any more in new boxes, like I paid for. Any guesses if they had them? Nope. - I call the sales person back to let them know I didn't get all my chairs and how I am really upset over this whole thing. He says there's nothing he can do so I need to talk to the store manager. I've been calling the store for 2 days now, including leaving messages for the store manager and they have yet to call me back. So here we are almost 3 weeks later and we still do not have all the furniture we paid for. I have had to make every single call on my issue. Not once has someone taken ownership and called me back. This has been the absolute worst experience I've had in buying furniture. They were quick to make promises and take our money, but Ashley will not get another dime from us. read more

This has been an awful experience! I ordered my bed which took over a month to arrive. To save money, I chose to pick it up from the warehouse instead of paying for delivery. I got it home and had missing pieces. I called the store and had the issue expedited with customer service. I was told a week ago that the missing piece would be here in 7-10 business days. I called today only to be told it's not expected to come in until mid April. This is January ! Without this piece, I can't even put the bed together. The customer service at the south county store is the reason for my rating(not the quality of furniture). It was one of the worst experiences. I worked with Shelly, her follow up skills are non-existence even after telling me multiple times she would call me back(never did!). It took about 5 phone calls, 5 voicemails AND 2 in person visits(even after talking to the store mgr) for me to get this partly resolved and then found out my order was cancelled. I am still trying to get the rest of my refund and have emailed her twice with ZERO response so it looks like I will have to make another visit to the store. Extremely disappointing! My wife and I recently visited the new Florissant location when we were looking for family room furniture. We were immediately greeted by a friendly associate who asked if we needed help. We told her that we were just looking (supposedly), so she let us browse after telling us that we could ask her if we had any questions. We continued to browse until we came upon my dream mancave sectional, where we tested the metal of the furniture. The same associate came over and sparked up conversation as she had witnessed our interest. We told her that we were actually looking for something different and gave her our priorities. She quickly moved us along to a few sets that fit our needs until we found one that was for us. She never pressured us to buy, but presented all of the options. We decided on a leather sofa and loveseat that looks great in our family room. The service here was great! No high pressure sales and plenty of information for us to make a decision. The only drawback is that we had to wait about 2-3 weeks to get the furniture delivered to our home due to lack of stock. But overall we were highly pleased with our experience and will definitely go back for my dream mancave sectional. read more

I currently have 4 orders at Ashley Furniture store on Lemay ferry that has been delayed almost three months and they cannot confirm when it is going to be delivered. They have promised delivery three times and all three times they failed to show up at my house. Every time I call no one answers and I am forced to go to the store to get an update. All sales reps that sold me product, has quit and no-one has ownership of my orders. This is the worst customer service I have ever seen in my life. Purchased cocktail and 2 end tables. Poor quality and showed bubbling or warping on 2 of 3 tables within 4 months of purchase. Purchased the 5 year protection plan but when tech determined that that tables couldn't be fixed so the solution was to replace the whole table which then voided my 5 year warranty on the tables. Will never buy furniture from Ashley again because of quality of furniture! Not sure why you responded that way because there was nothing offered as a resolution except that your response looks good. The worst experience of buying furniture ever! Do not buy from them. Customer service is appalling. I ordered a king sized bed from them on August 12th and it was damaged now I won't get a new bed till September 9th, nearly a month later and still with no bed. They could only offer me $20 for "compensation" which is a joke to me. Have you bought furniture at this location before because if you have and you've got damaged furniture or broken furniture well I know why, the workers scratch, damage the furniture and then try and fix it by putting it back together with glue, painting over the scratches, etc and then they sell it as it would be new, claiming it is new. This location is the worst, the customer service for Ashley's Furniture in general is horrible. You should not sell furniture that is damaged and claim as "NEW" contact 2 needs to be aware of this situation and get this under control or shut down. I've read many other horrible experiences with this particular location, they need to make their customers their #1 priority because that's how they are getting commission. I've been on the phone several times for the past week, the representatives are rude on the phone, they put you on hold forever. I also spoke with a woman today claiming that her "manager" Lisa would call me back immediately and 2 hours go by and I hear nothing so I give them a call back and apparently nobody works there named Lisa so Ashley's furniture employees are liars, claiming they will make me a happy customer, etc. DO NOT TRUST A WORD THEY SAY, they are lying, they will not do anything for you. So after all this crap I'm doing a full refund, since all they could offer is a $20 compensation which is ridiculous and they are insanely rude to even offer that in my opinion after waiting weeks without a bed and still no bed till past September if even then since they lie about dates. $20 is not even enough to buy a pillow from them, what is $20 gonna do, I've already wasted more than that in my gas. Now, I want a full refund and I can't get a full refund, this is ridiculous and it's very frustrating, look at all the other reviews on this location on Yelp, nearly everyone has a very bad experience with them, so I'd go to another furniture store and spend your money elsewhere or you'll most likely have a very bad buying/returning situation which is stressful and annoying. They will not try and make you be a repeat customer or encourage you to come back like other furniture employees do at other furniture stores. The managers at this location do nothing to satisfy you or make you happy as a customer. Stay away so you don't have to go through the hassle. A lot of their furniture is sold at Weekends Only for way cheaper anyway which I didn't know until after I bought furniture from them. So I still have not got a refund, still have no new bed and still a very unhappy customer that will never spend my money there again unless they give me a better compensation than $20. EDIT : A few months later after purchasing a bed from them, it's already falling apart. I take good care of my furniture. The bed was not cheap and it's already damaging on the edges of the footboard. Too many issues with Ashley's Furniture to want to ever purchase from them again. Spent $6000 on two power recliners and the power couch from the Cave Warrior collection...scheduled the delivery for October 5th, took the day off of work and scheduled a dinner party to "Break in" the new theater seats. This is the 3rd time so.ething like this has happened with a delivery issue...now we are standing in front of the store manager because I called the "customer service" number, talked to Porsche and when I asked 4 TIMES to be transferred to a manager, I was told by Porsche that there are "No managers, no escalations department." I even asked her to put that in my call log, that I asked 4 TIMES for a manager and she refused!! Cindy Walsh stuck with us though and guided us to the reclining furniture sets. We ended up finding exactly what we wanted for our new house and at a great price! Cindy hooked us up with the manager's special and even a golden ticket for free delivery/setup on the day we are moving in. Overall, my experience was good. I ended up with a really nice shelf unit that was on clearance. We were helped immediately when we came in the door by Cindy, but once we established a customer relationship with her, we were still continuously questioned by 3 additional employees which became pushy and unwanted. I probably would have spent more but due to constant interference by staff, I had to cut my time short. Cindy was really nice and did a great job helping us out. Jim Mason, who I assume is some type of manager was extremely rude with us and the sales associate Cindy when we were checking out. He was inappropriate with the sales associate and questioned her unnecessarily about whether we even wanted the item, after she had already helped us and sold the piece to me, which he did, not knowing we were right by him. I would give zero starts if could. Where to begin with this place? I will never again or do I recommend buying from this place. We ordered furniture May 2021 and was told everything will be in by July 13. We also paid for delivery and setup. Well nothing was in and was told end of July. We did get part of our items the end of July but all the other items every month they would tell us it was coming in at the end of the month. The items we did receive was 6 kitchen chairs with no table and every chair wobbled so we had to have a technician come out to fix them to find out that the people that made them forgot a piece that goes in the backs on the chairs so, we now had to order all the new backs for our chairs so who knows when they will come in. Then with the items they did bring us the delivery guys were very rude and didn't even put my stuff together we had to do it ourselves. Then we also got our dresser, nightstands and footboard and headboard but no rails so I can't even put my bed together and they don't even have an estimate delivery date all they could tell me is it would be sometime after May 2022. That is over a year from when I ordered!!!!!!!!! I had finally talked to someone who told me my kitchen table and the other dresser we ordered was in and ready for delivery so we set up a date. The day before delivery they sent an email and txt that we were the second stop on the delivery. Well we set here all day Saturday and the delivery never showed up. I called to find out what happened and they told me that I wasn't even scheduled for a delivery so I read them each of the confirmation messages I had received. We then went to the store and they told us that they had removed my items from there delivery and didn't bother to inform anyone about it!! So I wasn't half a Saturday for nothing!!!! My girlfriend and I ordered an entire bedroom set from this store. Paid for white glove delivery and set up. Upon order completion then payment in full we were told not all the items were in stock and some would take longer as they were being retrieved from a warehouse. Nightstand and dresser were delivered no problem. The bed frame took almost a month to be ready for delivery. When delivered pieces were broken and the delivery was sent back. This happened THREE TIMES AND WE STILL HAVE NO BEDFRAME. We wasted 4 hours waiting on deliveries 3 times. We then went into the store to speak with the manager named Laurie to get our refund and she was combative, rude and has a power trip. She interjected herself into a conversation that was between me and my girlfriend with rude commentary and was lecturing me when I had not addressed her. Sh refused to do anything else and said she was referring us to corporate. She gave us the number to a call center where nobody there had the ability to give us our refund.
