I love Crate & Barrel. So when two of my friends got married, it was a no brainer for me to come and get them a gift card. Being an older couple, they didn't register anywhere, but everyone deserves a shopping experience at C&B. I may have been shopping primarily for them, but I took a little time to shop for myself, too. My flatware is over 25 years old and a couple pieces have gone MIA. So I took a quick look at what they had to offer. I found a set that I really liked and it made me wish I was getting married, so I could register for a complete set of Fusion Satin Flatware. To be honest, I've been shopping for new flatware for a while and what I found at C&B is the best. I'll be honest, I found less expensive at Target and Costco, but I'll pay the price for quality and style. When I'm dining at home, I want the experience to be as if I was dining in a restaurant. No matter what department you're shopping, the staff is always professional, friendly and helpful. I always joke with the staff that I can do more damage shopping alone, than with their help. read more

Staff are friendly, they greet you when you enter and make sure you are doing well when walking around. If you are looking for kitchen appliances or dishes, lots of decorations, furniture and rugs, there is lots to choose from. They have a great sale section and great holiday decor. I was disappointed to find they no longer had much in the way of food items, I used to pick up fun things in that category and only found holiday chocolates on my last visit. We have ordered many things from Crate and Barrel over the years; furniture, dinnerware, accessories, and we have loved everything we've purchased. However, we recently purchased two Axis couches that were great initially, but the seat cushions collapsed in just a few months. We spent many weeks working with customer service to get replacement cushions and finally they arrived. The new cushions were not much better than what had originally come with the couches. It is now almost a year later and we still don't have comfortable furniture. This will be our last purchase from Crate & Barrel. read more

It's been a long while (2018!) since I stepped into a Crate & Barrel. The last time, I found it expensive, pretentious and very high end. So with some time before my meetup at the restaurant across the way, I popped in here to have my expectations met. And no, they were not. Sure, there are some high prices on some items but the sort of stuff that I now decorate with? The tableware is very reasonably priced. The decor had some deals. The cookware was not outrageous. Sure, it's more expensive than the pots and pans you're buying at Walmart but this set of plain white dishes and bowls and cups? Simply lovely and not at all over priced. As I browsed, I was asked once or twice if I needed any help but it was never obtrusive and my simply "Just looking" let them know that I did not need assistance. This is a beautiful store. It's a perfect place for a couple to shop before they get married, or for a young urbanite to decorate their first living space. You can find everything to furnish a home, from glassware, small appliances, furniture, even gardening supplies or candles. It's all attractively arranged, so you can see things paired together, so you can " see it" in your own place. I ended up getting a stainless steel bowl and a bottle of mineral oil for wooden cutting boards or bowls. Both items were on my list, although I would have loved to get more things. I received a gift from Crate & Barrel and needed to return it. It was drop shipped directly from the manufacturer. The clerk who initially helped me was extremely rude and accusatory that this item did not come from Crate & Barrel because there was no indication of their name or packing slip or gift receipt. The manager on duty was really lovely and went above and beyond. She contacted the manufacturer who looked up their sticker on the item and confirmed it was, in fact, a Crate & Barrel purchase. I was able to return the item for a gift card which was fine with me. I don't understand why Crate & Barrel would make purchasing items and returning merchandise so difficult for their customers. I totally understand they have checks and balances to combat fraudulent returns but this was not that. read more

Buy at another store. I placed a large order and some items are sitting on their warehouse for over a month, while 2 keep on being delayed from their vendor. But why can't I receive my other products ( which I already paid in full) ? It seems like for this company, they care more about load optimization and reducing costs than customer satisfaction. I understand the industry is impacted by the pandemic and 2 items are delayed and not in their zone of influence, but what is the excuse for not having delivered the other available items before? read more

I always enjoy walking around Crate & Barrel, whether I'm window shopping or actually looking for something. It is an adventure in and of itself which I love. This is one of the most incredibly amazing shopping experiences on every visit, in my opinion. I love how the store is set-up, each display flowing soo effortlessly into the next and presented soo elegantly. The store is huge and I could spend hours slowly walking through to check out each and every exibit, touch each and every item and sit on various furniture to get the feel. Crate & Barrel carries modern, classic, old school with a new school twist, ecletic, eccentric and upscale products that constantly change. This is an amazing store for home furninshing!!!! Yessssss, some of their items are over the top expensive but some of their items are reasonably priced. I find their products to be of quality from what my friends and I have purchased over time. Also, they have various sales throughout the year. The employees have always been courteous, helpful and friendly during my visits. On my last visit an associate offered to make me an espresso as I was walking through the kitchen area, browsing all of their products. Came in for a new everyday set of dishes since the current one was slowly dwindling down in numbers. I had a particular set in mind going in to the store but ended up changing my mind after. The trip was on memorial day weekend so naturally, they had sales going on. I believe it was 15% off of purchase. Anyway, it knocked off somewhere around that for the total. Coming in, it was pleasant but a bit confusing. I think some of these stores are designed to make you wander and find other delightful things. When I finally found a helpful staff, she showed me the location of the plates I've been eyeing online and immediately asked if she could start gathering them for me. I told her I wanted to look around first so she left me alone to browse. I ended up deciding on a different type of plates, bowls, etc and the woman at the register took down the number of plates, bowls, etc that I wanted and then I waited. About 10 minutes later, my purchases were expertly wrapped up in boxes and she asked if I wanted to pick the boxes up curbside or carry them out. We didn't park too far so we just carried them to the car. They were heavy but I guess a good thing! For the whole set of a dozen minus the unnecessary mugs, it was less than $200. For every day plates, you can't beat that! This place has so many home decor items, it's worth the trip definitely and it makes me want to come back for other items in the very near future. read more

I went to C&B a couple weeks ago shopping for furniture for my new apartment. This is my first "grown-up" place and I decided I wanted "grown-up" furniture to go with it. My boyfriend and I stopped in to begin our search. We were stopped by several associates to see if we needed assistance. We ended up ordering two ivory/off-white leather bar stools. The woman who helped us was very friendly and showed us swatches of all the color options we had. She also told us the different varieties the stool came in (style, height, etc.). The ones we chose were shipped to the store a couple weeks later. There is a convenient side door for large pickups. The stools are perfect. Definitely expensive but seem well worth it. I look forward to returning for more furniture as we make the move and get settled in! read more

Terrible service, we had an appointment for around 2 weeks, and drove an hour and a half and weren't even served after we talked to people who didn't tell us we would have to wait for a hour to get served. We were prepared to spend well over 10,000 dollars. They treated us like we had less worth then anyone else. They served people without appointments before us and told us that the online service doesn't always work but yet they don't have any disclaimers online about that. Absolutely will not go back ever again yes the furniture was great but terrible service and people. Never again you are terrible Crate and Barrel get your crap together. They even said it's COVID and we know that so you should prepare for that. They also openly admitted that they have more people inside then they should have in there. read more

In my experience the staff and online customer service were very helpful but 1 star for management. I placed an order for store pickup and received an email and a call shortly after that it was out of stock and cancelled. Understandable, since it was around the holidays, but in my opinion they could have offered me another color of the item that they did have in stock rather than cancelling. I called and ordered the other over the phone. When I went to pick it up I waited in store for almost an hour while staff looked for it in the back before being told that the order was "closed" as if someone had picked it up. I assured them that that was impossible, but was told that it was now out of their hands and I would have to leave and call customer service. I did that the next day and when the customer service representative contacted the store, she was told that it was a warehouse mistake and that they now had it held. No offer to ship it to me, but the looked up my address and said that luckily I didn't live too far away. I arrived in the store again and was asked again if I had already picked it up and waited again as they searched before finally receiving it with a thank you for my patience. I understand that it is a busy time of year and mistakes happen, but in my opinion the store management made no effort to facilitate the situation and tried to pawn it off on others. I have used this store for my wedding registry, bought furniture and gifts and was considering for my baby registry, but will try to avoid using it for store pickup again if at all possible. read more

When we were looking at the furniture Tony was very helpful in telling us information about the sofa and sectional without us having to ask! You have some modern colors and decorations that makes me look like I actually know something about what looks good on tables and walls, which I don't. You are always clean and people are always walking around asking if I would like some help, which usually I do. Now why don't I love thee? Corporate tells your workers to be EXTREMEMLY anal about the way things are positioned on the shelves and please Mr Rick S... I can go back and get something from the back so you don't disrupt the 20 minutes of work I spent on making sure every single cup is in the right position. Always look for the sales that can be really good, since most items are fairly expensive comparably. Their furniture is of great quality and I'm in love with their kitchen section. I pray they come to Jacksonville, FL! Sales personnel are hit or miss. Usual with retail. This location has a pretty good team and were helpful over our wedding registry. I cannot believe there are only 9 reviews of Crate & Barrel and it's been open for like, 6 years here. PEOPLE! It's C&B! They have like, everything your house could ever need! Tons of kitchen tools, fancy schmancy pots and pans, non-fancy (but super useful) Lodge cast iron products, lovely serving pieces, glasses for every beverage EVER (from shots to champagne, orange juice to hot chocolate), colorful mixing bowls and cutting boards and table linens and and and and... Seriously, do I need to go on? That's just the kitchen/dining stuff! Then they have items for every single room in your house. Even your laundry room (or, if you're like me and you lack any usable space near your washer and dryer, just get their handy-dandy mini-ironing board. It brought my iron out of hiding after 5 years of total non-use. True story.). And surely, you know C&B has furniture, right? After many, many, MANY years of use, we finally retired our college days' couch for some grown up furniture and couldn't be happier. I've always been happy with the staff at this C&B, but Nicole Apter helped us while we sofa shopped and was especially wonderful--she was friendly and knowledgeable, wasn't phased by our little guy climbing on every ottoman he spied and wasn't pushy about making a sale. The icing on the cake was the thank you card she sent after we received our furniture--a very sweet touch to already great service. I am a C&B junkie, so I generally don't allow myself many trips to the store. While lots of items (glasses, in particular) are really reasonably priced, a trip can get pricey quickly (I just want everything!) and I'm running out of room in my house. Oh, Crate and Barrel, I love you! I don't really love some of your ridiculous prices for things I can get much cheaper many other places - but all the same, I love you! I love the great minimalist designs here, and some of the unique things you can buy, so I made sure it was one of the stores we had registered for our wedding. The registry process was a breeze, we got the cool gun scanner thing (which I promptly handed to the man - isn't that why they come along, anyways?), and got as much (or as little) help as we needed. I don't like so much when I'm shadowed around a store, but our assistant was nearby when we did have questions about flatware, dishes, and other household goodies. When I've come in to return or exchange things (it's a wonder how glass breaks when packed so nicely!), they have always been easy to work with, and helpful with getting me replacements. We were very fortune and got most of the items off of our registry here, but just in case, they also send you a 10% coupon after your wedding to use on anything in the store or online - and you can use it multiple times for 6 months! The discount goes up to 15% if you have a credit card, but the 10% is a nice enough deal for me. I look forward to going in and browsing the beautiful soon. read more

I was greeted when I walked in, but not offered assistance. I wandered around (I mean in a very wandering-around-looking-lost way) looking for a very particular programmable meat thermometer with a probe that works with a grill as well as with an oven. There aren't many that do this, I've found. There were lots of clerks meandering around, looking in-their-own-way busy, and nobody asked if they could help me. Found nothing even close to what I wanted. Everything was rather light-weight. When I got to the plate section, I knew I was out of my bounds on this quest. An employee asked me if I needed help. Yes, indeed! I told him what I was seeking. He showed me what they have available. It wasn't what I wanted. What they offer is a Taylor product with a probe that tends to break off, from what I read on reviews. I gave him the name of what I was seeking. He said they didn't have it. OK. I get that. When I left, he said, "You're welcome" even before I said, "Thank you." Was he even listening? I absolutely LOVE Crate and Barrel and have ordered many, many things online. Big fan of CB. When I lived in Chicago, there were CB locations all of the place, including CB2. Or so it seemed. This one, however, is the only CB for hundreds of miles I'm told. So people so make special trips to St. Louis to shop here. Fortunately for me, I live in Brentwood, so the traffic in and around the Galleria doesn't bother me like it might some others. There is ample parking in the garage for free and if its a nice day and you are the mall across the street, just walk! Bonus points for going in on December 23rd to do last minute Christmas shopping, finding exactly what we were looking for and not having to wait in a slow moving line to get it. We got we needed and had it boxed up and everything in under 15 minutes. That's efficient shopping. read more

Where else to go to find some pretty cool stuff for around the house. I've been here a couple time recently, mostly trying to find a wedding gift as it seems everyone registers here anymore. Did i mention that they have cool stuff for around the house? They have countless kitchen gadgets, a bountiful amount of glassware, towels, table clothes and place mats. If you need it for your house they most likely have it. The staff here has always been very helpful, but not pushy. There is nothing I hate more than pushy sales people. The store is great, first floor is all the stuff you need to in your house, while the second floor is dedicated to furniture. I've never bought any furniture from here so I cannot speak to the quality, but everything else I've gotten from here has been well made and lasted. If you have not had experience with Crate and Barrel, then pull up a seat and I will tell you about this wonderful land! I moved in to a new place, my first as an adult, and decided that with the adult place should come adult furniture. I only have a couple pieces from C&B (because you pay a hefty price for both the name and the craftsmanship) but they are my favorite pieces in my house. Along with furniture that is not only stylish but also extremely functional (they seem to put storage in everything) they offer kitchen and dining room items. There are fun and fancy glassware and serving dishes, utensils, rice cookers and every type of tool you could possibly need to prepare fancy foods that nobody can pronounce. I like to walk around and find ideas for my home. Like I said in the previous paragraph, you pay a price for C&B products. But that means that it will work well and it will last a long time. It will also look nice sitting there or while you use it. The staff in this location is no exception to C&B's quality brand. They are helpful and pleasant. read more

When I approached an Associate to ask questions and get more information the sales associate spoke so incredibly rude to me and walked away, I just couldn't believe what had just happened. I love going here after Christmas to hit up their sales! They have such nice stuff, and it's all marked down quite a bit. My faves are their dining and kitchen area. When there's a good sale, I can get beautiful $80 vases for only $40, so I like them for general decorative items as well. Their look is clean and modern, and the styles are constantly changing with the season. Check them out online or via their catalog, too, to get ideas before coming into the store. We recently went there looking for two specific candle holders. They were out, and the website didn't offer them anymore, but they helped us locate some at a store in Chicago that shipped them to us for a flat $4.95 shipping rate. How convenient! read more

Let's start off with me saying that I freaking LOVE Crate&Barrel. I wish I were rich so I could deck my house in it. That said, there are quite a few reasonably priced items especially given the quality. We have our everyday china from there along with a few cherished show pieces - candle holders, vases, specialty barware, our modular hutch, and the Kenton bar cabinet. The Kenton bar cabinet is by far my favorite. A splurge for our income level, but we love it and get tons of compliments. I've had no problem with staff there. They are always helpful and upfront (such as when some of our hutch pieces were on back order). Very happy with this store! read more

C&B is one of those places that you know you'll be able to find that "special" piece you're missing for your house. A friend registered for their wedding there and I went to go pick out something. The only thing I'm not a fan of with their registry is that it doesn't tell you where things are located since its not aisles per say, but in sections. Makes it kind of hard and hopefully you go on a day where its not crowded and you can find someone to help you. Otherwise you'll roam the place for awhile. The associates are nice but they don't always come up and see if you're needing help. I worked retail in the past and we were always supposed to ask if they needed help - I recommend that the employees do that for the future. I found what I needed, took it up to one of the checkout stations and they wrapped it up all pretty in a box for the wedding so the items wouldn't break. You don't need to use wrapping paper on a C&B box - there's just something about it already! read more

I love all things C&B but consistently have problems with this particular location. Avoid the sales associate Sally at all costs!!!! If I see her working, I steer clear of her. She is so rude and condescending. Also, if you order online and choose store pick-up (because their shipping costs are ridiculous and take FOREVER to arrive), always check your items before you leave the store to make sure they have prepared your order correctly. I nearly ALWAYS have the wrong items in my store pick-up order. The stockroom never does QA and they don't care either. Last time, I was missing three items in the order. This happens every time but now I know how to manage it in that I never leave until I have made sure everything is there. This location has careless customer service but it's the only option we have in the area for great home stuff! read more

The store has great items, but their associates range from average to ABOMINABLE. Typically, I don't even NEED an associate's help. But these employees will go out of their way to say disrespectful, tacky and stupid things. The other day, an associate named Mary (older woman, very thin, brownish/red hair who's worked there forever) turned to me and said, "Where are your 'charges'?"--referring to my two children who often shop with me. Um, hello? "Charges?" I am NOT their nanny. I am their mother. Why would you assume that the children who are with me are anything other than my children? Alas, I try to ignore the consistently stupid and disrespectful things she says because she's obviously a dinosaur and just doesn't know any better. Another time, I was there shopping and having an okay time. But one of the associates was going around greeting EVERY customer, which is nice. Except, for some reason he didn't greet me or my companion. I said to him, "No offense, but do you realize that you've greeted EVERYONE on this floor except for me and my friend?" I didn't make ANY other accusations. I just stated the facts. He could have solved the issue with a simple, "Oh I'm sorry. How can I help you today?" But instead, he rolled his eyes and walked away.Then he went out of his way to find us in the store later and told us, "You know what, I've got some Black friends, so don't even try it with me." Then he snapped his fingers in a weird little sassy way. How did RACE become an issue? I was undone. Of course I called the corporate office. He doesn't work there anymore. Like I said, great decor, fabulous items, just try to ignore the people who work there. I heart C&B! Oftentimes I shop online and pick up my goodies in-store. It saves me a TON of time! When I arrive, I give the cashier my first and last time, sign on the dotted line and "voila!" -- my items are nicely wrapped and ready to take home.
