Called about a 2 peace Couch that was listed for $80 a month. We get there go through all the paperwork then for you to tell us it is over $200 a month in payments. After having us sit there for over an hour. Then when we proceed to ask why the raise in price the ladies helping us proceeded to stutter and could not use a reason why. read more

My $1000 recliner broke 3 days after the year warranty! No problem because I bought insurance!! That was in February. It is now October and my chair is completely broken down. It is an electric recliner and is stuck. I sleep in this chair at night and now I cannot because now the motor is completely dead! In September they finally sent out a service man who took a picture and hurriedly left. There are two huge holes on either side of the chair where it went off track and tore up the inside bottom! They are STILL looking into it! THEY MAKE OVER $8O MILLION DOLLARS A YEAR, according to the owner. Now we know how!! I guess I need to contact the Daily Journal to warn people! I get it, things are backed up because of Covid, but communicate with your customers. I have sat on the phone 3 different times on hold for over 30 minutes with no one picking up. Purchased a nice leather living room suite and recliner #1 broke within 4 months of delivery with normal use. Called to store to inquire about getting it fixed. The lady I spoke with said I had to file it on my extended warranty (that I'm so glad I purchased). Fast forward to a claim on that chair (couldn't get them to send parts so they sent a whole new recliner after 6 months of waiting) recliner #2 breaking the exact part shortly after. The same part has broken on 3 different recliners 3+ times. When I contacted Ashley's main number the rep said the store should have handled my initial problem but instead pushed me off onto warranty. Zero responsibility for poor quality products. I spent over $4,000 on a setup that has been broken just as much as operational. 10/10 would never recommend Ashley to anyone. read more

Service from the minute we walked into the door until the deliverymen left our house was superb. During this pandemic we built a house and understood that purchasing furniture would be different. However, our salesperson Kenisha was knowledgeable, courteous and helped us to complete our sale. We purchased living and dining room furniture during Ashley's 4th of July sale--the prices were much better than the American Home store and the sales service didn't even compare. Delivery was scheduled for day after closing-October 2nd - and during the 3 months I changed my mind on the 2 recliners. I called Kenisha and she said "no problem" and it wasn't. Our delivery was exactly as we had adjusted the order. Delivery was within the time frame that we were notified. Ashley kept us informed of the time of arrival of our furniture In addition both deliverymen were experts--friendly and respectful. Our neighborhood is still under construction...but manuvering within the many construction vehicles and equipment was no problem. The furniture was placed exactly where we wanted and all the packing removed and they checked to make sure the furniture bolts/etc. were all secure. read more

My experience was good then bad then back to good. I had a great salesman named Rick. We bought a brand new sealy king size bed set during our time at Ashley on 9/16/2018. While there, I didn't even think to ask about the metal rails that go under the bed and just assumed they came with. I called as soon as we left and our salesman told us he could add them to our order so that they would come when our bed was delivered. Today 9/25/18, my bed arrived without the metal rails. I called to ask what was up with the rails and they informed me that they were never added to my order nor were they ordered separately. So now I had a new bed with no rails that would have to be on the floor because of this mistake. I called and spoke with Santana (hopefully I spelled that correctly) and she went above and beyond to help us. We are able to go pick up a set of free rails from the store TODAY because of the trouble! I'm very thankful for her and the kindness she showed to help make up for the mess up! Do not ever buy anything from this store, because even if there is something wrong with it after you have signed for it there is nothing you can do. I purchased two beds and two mattresses and box springs from this company, the mattresses were delivered and they were folded. We were told to wait a 24 hours and they would restore. It has been a week, they still have big folds in them. I called the store, I was told to contact the Guest Response Team, that they would organize a ticket and I could get different mattresses. I called the Guest Response Team and they told me there was no return policy I am stuck with them, what a load of crock, the mattresses I threw out were of a better quality that these. read more

We bought a reclining couch that has a drop down cup holder with usb ports and electrical outlets and storage for magazines, etc. The couch also has a pull out storage compartment. It was purchased on May 17, 2021...and was delivered July 6, 2021. The first day we noticed that the pull on the storage compartment wasnt sewn completely and one of the drawer guides had fallen apart. Also, when we pulled down the center cushion to use the cupholders we noticed that it wasnt at all level...it points down to the floor...and the cupholders arent very deep so drinks spill very easily. We put a pillow underneath it to level it out. That was day one...and here we are, July 22, 2021...weve had our couch 16 days and all of the drawer guides had fallen apart...the material on the cushion backs is saggy and the stuffing is also sagging...the couch definitely doesnt look only 16 days old!!! I'm very dissatisfied with Ashley Furniture in Tupelo. They are friendly and have excellent prices, but getting the furniture delivered is a different story. You are on your own regarding that the moment you walk out the front door. You are left to haggle with the Memphis warehouse over delivery times which are often many weeks and even months away. They give you a delivery date only to change it multiple times. It becomes very confusing because each time you call you are talking to a different person and it's easy to get two or three different people working on the same problem and thereby confusing things even more. And what time will the delivery be made? Good luck with pinning them down on that. They will first give you a date but not a time. You have to call back the day before delivery to get the time. But of course in the meantime your delivery date may have been canceled. Am I done? Certainly not. There's much more. When the delivery is finally made, possibly months after the purchase, you may or may not receive your complete order. There may be one or more items missing and they may or may not mention it. We bought $5,000 worth of furniture for my stepdaughter recently. She ended up with only 5 out of 6 chairs for her dining room table. When will the 6th chair arrive? Never unless I had called. It's promised in 9 days, but I'm not holding my breath. Will it match the other 5? Again, I'm doubtful because this is a very messed up business and I'm embarrassed for them. Can the store give me the 6th chair off its floor display? Of course not. It wouldn't do for them to have a missing chair - it's OK for me but not for them. You will get good prices but I wonder if it's worth the big hassle actually getting the merchandise in your home. Sometimes, it can feel like pulling teeth. I have had similar experiences with Ashley in the past and each time I decide to give them another chance thinking it might be a one-time thing. Once could be an accident but two or three times is a pattern. It's a problem that Ashley certainly needs to address if it wants to stay in business. Apprehensive, we started on our familiar journey of walking past all of the ones we didn't like. Teresa, our sales lady, was very patient and understood us well. We rounded the corner and found ourselves not with one decision but two! Oh this one sits nice!, yeah but this one has clean lines! This color is nice but that one!... The sales manager at this store has little to none customer service skills. I purchased 4000 dollars in a bedroom suite on a Saturday night, the following Friday I changed my mind and was going to cancel the order and purchase a different suite plus a living room suite. The sales manager told me I owed a 400 dollar restocking fee, the furniture was still another week out before being delivered. The salesperson told me if i had any issues they would handle it, that was a lie. They handled it by me paying 400 dollars for furniture I had not even received. When I ask the manager to waive the fee, he told me that he would not going to do business with me making threats towards him and I could either pay the fee or he would turn it over to the legal department and stated " and we ALWAYS win these cases!" I would not recommend anyone doing business with this store. I believe the stores sales manager is new and is named Chad Province. I bought a sectional for my living room. Upon delivery, the sectional was too big and closed off the entrance to my living room. I told the delivery men that it would not work and to remove a piece and take it back to the store. The men told me that they could not, it would be better for me to call once they were gone or else they would have to take everything and I would be left without a couch. So I called and the lady I spoke with told me that my acct was still locked, showing delivery statuses and that I would need to call tomorrow. I called the following day and the lady I spoke with told me that I could not return anything and was very rude with a condescending tone.. So I called the Tupelo location to speak to guest services and Jashia told me that I could not return it BUT I could exchange the item for something else of equal or lesser value. Ashley Furniture HomeStore could not be more helpful. My husband and I had been to three stores to look at kitchen tables. Ashley's took the time to listen to our needs and wants and then helped us select the perfect table. Mr. Moody was especially helpful in helping us measure the tables to be sure they fit in our home and select the perfect color. He even arranged for us to carry one of the chairs home at no cost to ensure the color would match perfectly. Once we decided on the perfect one, the delivery process was seamless. We received a phone and email confirmation of the time window. In the email confirmation was a link to track the status of the delivery. We could tell where we were in the schedule for that day and where the truck currently was. The gentlemen delivering the furniture were very courtesy and called about 45 minutes prior to their arrival. They took great care in setting up the furniture and left the house as clean as it was one when they arrived.
