I had an incident with them a few weeks ago and I tried to call their office and left emails and messages and no one ever got back to me, until I had to physically go to the doctor's office. In addition, my son's specialist attempted to get ahold of the office for several days and they also never returned her call. It was very urgent as my son was supposed to have surgery the next day and a referral need to be fax to the specialist asap. This office out sources all their calls through a third party and you never get to speak to the staff at the Plano office. Just letting other parents know. Thanks and have a great day!

They are amazing, and I have nothing but respect and love for them and what they do. UT Southwestern itself is a hot mess. Mulitple scheduling issues and billing problems/confusion. Warning: They tout MyChart as the answer and as a way to pay your bills, but not everything goes through that automatically. Some providers take payment at the appointment, but some only take partial or no payment and then bill later. UT Southwestern handles billing for some of those providers, but they don't automatically attach that 'provider' billing system to MyChart. So you'll think you are up-to-date because MyChart says zero balance, but then months later, you can get a surprise "You are overdue" text message that arrives *before* a provider paper bill. UTSouthwestern CAN attach that provider billing service to MyChart so that you can see and pay online, but they don't unless you ask them to. But no one tells you to ask for this. And, as their representative told me, this is just the way they do business. I feel so bad for families dealing with this disorganization AND serious illness.

I get there and the lady at the front desk didn't smile, didn't say "hello how can I help you?" she just kind a looked at me and I said "hi, I have an appointment today" and she said "well your appointment was at 10:30, we're gonna have to reschedule you, we can't see you." I was the only one in the office, no other patients waiting at all.. I get that doctors are on a schedule, and yeah it was my fault that I somehow misunderstood my appointment time, but being a new patient that wasn't a warm and inviting experience.

They have been able to take me from barely functioning in extreme pain, to being able to live my life again. There is ZERO weight shaming EVER. I think that's the first time I've experienced that. I really cannot say enough good things about this practice. They should be a shining example of what patient care looks like. A collaborative relationship where you feel heard and taken care of.
