We always asked for a man named Joe and over the many, MANY years of me recommending this tax service I was shocked, dismayed and angry that he screwed up my 90 yr old mother's tax's from 2015. He "forgot" to put in her Social Security money. Now u ask me how a account would forget a 86 yr olds SS money when he's been doing her tax's for approx 10 yrs. now she gets a letter from IRS saying she owes 875$. I of course think H&M tax services will offer to pay 1/2 b/c it was , as he admitted to me verbally, his fault BUT GUESS WHAT... that's right folks he refuses. My mom is on a fixed income , Reverse Mortgage money running out, paying CNA so she doesn't have to go into a horrible nursing home and this Jerk Off just blows me off. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. they act all nice and friendly but really they have NO MORAL COMPASS.

My husband and I waited nearly an hour and a half past my scheduled appointment with zero communication and no apology. When we finally spoke up about the excessive delay -- calmly and respectfully -- he immediately became defensive, threw us out of the office, and refused to complete our taxes. Instead of owning his lack of professionalism, he chose to lose a paying client. The office itself is shockingly disgusting. It is small and extremely cramped, but beyond that, it is a complete pigsty. This isn't just scattered paperwork -- there were bottles, old food, and visible garbage throughout the space. The entire environment felt dirty, chaotic, and neglected. It does not resemble a professional business in any way. If this is how clients are treated and this is the condition of the workspace, it raises serious concerns about how business is conducted. Respect, accountability, and basic cleanliness should not be too much to expect. If I could give zero stars, I would. Even one star feels generous given the lack of professionalism, respect, and basic cleanliness. I strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere.

For the past few years, I have owed federal taxes, but that was largely offset by my state refund. Last year, Jimmy told me the adjustments I needed to make. I did what he told me to do and I do not owe federal taxes this year. I used to pay way more to one of those tax preparation services, but the quality of their prepares in no way compares to Jimmy. Not only is he an excellent accountant, he is an awesome human being. And it doesn't hurt that. He has a cute dog in the office either. If anyone asks me, I'm sending them to Jimmy. I wish I could give him 10 stars because he certainly deserves them.

Once again, a tax season has passed. Time for what has become my annual praise for BAS…read more Like last year, I am not living in the same state I was last year. BAS avoids having to track me down by emailing me an organizer. I just print the organizer, fill in the blanks once I have all of my W-2s and 1099s, sign it, and mail it back. My tax preparer magically makes sense of it all and emails me a confirmation and an invoice for services. A neatly bound summary of my tax forms arrives in the mail shortly after, and my refund appears in my bank account. If I owe, they'll send me an invoice for that as well. I had a little panic attack when I realized I hadn't had taxes taken out of some of my income. They called me back and assured me that everything was okay. We've taken care of that issue for next year, and all is well. Their fees are incredibly reasonable. A friend went to a local accountant and paid more than three times what I paid for my tax prep. I've found something good here, so I'll stick with it.
