Empty promises from the very beginning…read more 2015 Backstory: Years ago I tried using their services at a separate location in Southern California. I went into their offices and had what I thought was a very positive and motivating meeting with two recruiters who promised to work hard to get me some job opportunities... 6 months later after emailing and leaving several voicemails after never hearing anything back, I receive a phone call about a job opportunity for the very first time since my initial meeting. Luckily I didn't stick around and rely on them for anything and landed a job on my own. 2019: In need of some assistance in landing a job aligned with my degree and and professional experience since moving to Portland, I reached out to 24 Seven in the hopes that my negative experience at a different location wouldn't reflect on the rest of the company. I had a promising phone interview with a recruiter at their Portland office and was told I'd receive additional information within 24 hrs and of course 3 days later I received nothing. I tried contacting the recruiter to follow up and I heard nothing back from her. It's now been almost around 6 weeks since my phone call. Yet again 24 Seven has proved to be highly unprofessional and unreliable. I've worked with other recruiters in my life and never have had this level of unprofessionalism. NEVER contacting them again. Won't be surprised if in 6-9 months they finally contact me with an opportunity for the very first time...

She actually laughed at me when I said the average amount of hours worked in society (I said 40) within the conversation and corrected me again. The manner in which she asked, "why haven't you been able to find a job?" was so demeaning, I'm not sure why I agreed to meet in person the next day; I did in the hopes she'd be able to help me out. So I went in the next day to meet with her and she was not in the office, she was outside walking her dog (not something I'd usually be irritated by, but after the day before it rubbed me the wrong way). There was no one else in the office and a woman named Nicole who came to the front desk got incredibly defensive when I asked how long it usually takes her to come back; I was uncomfortable from the start. Had she spoken like an adult, things may have unfolded a little differently. I waited a few minutes and decided to leave because had I been late, no doubt that'd had been considered unprofessional, as I had another appointment afterward. Nicole gave me a nasty retort about the amount of time I'd have been there "anyway" with an unprofessional attitude, I felt like I was in high school again. When I ran into Vaughna (owner) in the hallway and let her know I was on my way out, she copped an attitude immediately and tried to make me feel guilty about her dog and proceeded to send me a passive-aggressive email afterward. Never have I felt so inconsequential. Terrible customer service. There's probably a good reason why their office was completely empty-people don't appreciate being treated rudely by "professionals" having no respect for others' time. Do yourself a favor-especially if you're young looking-because these people won't take you seriously-don't waste your time.
