My wife and I went to Italy recently to celebrate both of us turning 50 and our 25th wedding anniversary. In planning the trip, which began about a year prior, we were recommended through a friend to use Asimina Tours; we were put in contact with Dimitri. Right away, Dimitri worked very closely with us to find out what we were interested in seeing, how long we were looking to stay in Italy, and what our budget was. From there, Dimitri, along with his partner Christina, put together an amazing package that allowed us to see all the sights. We went to Venice, Como, Milan, Florence, Rome, and Sorrento. Along the way, we had many day trips, the majority of which were fantastic. From Pisa, Siena, Lucca, Cinque Terre (a favorite), the Vatican, Pompeii, the Amalfi Coast, and Capri, it was a once in a lifetime experience and we had the most amazing time. Other highlights of the trip were the wine tasting in Tuscany and the private cooking class in Sorrento. They were also very accommodating with some last minute trip ideas. About 2 months prior to leaving, I had learned that one of my favorite bands, Queens of the Stone Age, were going to be performing in Italy while we were there. We contacted Dimitri and he was able to rearrange our hotel and travel accommodations, including a last minute domestic flight, without any issues. Dimitri and Christina made the entire process run smoothly. All of our travel tickets and hotel reservations were all available through the app. Our hotels were centrally located and were within walking distance from the major attractions. We really appreciated the private transportation arrangements to take us from the hotels to the train stations/airports, as well as the private tours. Excellent Travel Agent - Dimitris Tzimos of Asimina Tours We asked our great travel agent for some advice on spending more time in Greece this Fall and we were fortunate enough to get referred to Dimitris. After some initial questions regarding what we were interested in, he gave us a few ideas to consider. Once we received flight information from the cruise line, he tailor-made the perfect set of tours, down to the time we arrived at the hotel, suggesting we take a nap before going out for dinner and a sunset. Things worked out perfectly: we packed in quite a few incredible sights, were driven by some great drivers, and the tours were led by some wonderful tour guides. What else can one ask for? Well, one of the drivers even took us to his friend's private winery where we enjoyed ourselves even more - all because we talked on the way and he figured out it would probably be a great extra stop. One of the tour guides took us to her personal friend's linen shop - all because she, too, got to know us and knew this detour would be a hit. I highly recommend Dimitris for all your tours in Greece. I can't speak for Italy and Turkey (yet), but I'm sure you'll get the same, great service there, too. Omg! Stella at Asimina Tours is the best! She was extremely professional, friendly and went above and beyond for our trip to Greece. We went June 2021, super late post, and she helped us plan everything and kept us on budget.We had beautiful 5 star hotels in Athena, Mykonos and Santorini. She took care of the travel to each island, planned amazing tours, scheduled a beautiful sunset cruise, and gave the best restaurant suggestions. During our trip, there was a strike which prevented us from taking our original means of transportation from Mykonos to Santorini. Before we even woke up, Stella had already switched our transportation and had tickets waiting for us. She never missed a beat. When they say you have 24/7 access to the staff they really mean it. Asimina Tours was amazing! From the beginning, our agent Panos took the time to really listen to us in what we wanted to see and do in Greece, and he planned the perfect trip with the right balance of excursions and time off in our budget. This was our first time using a travel agency, and it couldn't have gone better. With all the transfers and travel between the Athens and the Greek islands, it could have easily gone awry, but everything went smoothly and was on time. We also especially loved the accommodations that were booked. All of them were boutique hotels with such great, friendly management and AMAZING breakfasts. Asimina also includes tailored recommendations for things to do and restaurants for each location, which was great for our free days! She helped my group plan an amazing trip to Santorini and Athens, and her insider tips on restaurants and sights to see were all on point. We ran into some AirBnb problems (on our own, not through Asimina tours) and Stella was immediately trying to help us out and find us backup options. When we were running in late in danger of missing a cruise, Stella was trying to help us out and contact the vendor. If I could book the trip again, I'd stay in the places Stella suggested. The travel guide on what to pack and gratuities was also very very informative. After attempting to plan a dream honeymoon I quickly realized that I needed help. After hearing about Zicasso through a friend I submitted an inquiry for a trip to Greece. I was put in touch with a few agencies that all sounded great but went with Asimina Tours and worked exclusively with Chris. I have never used a travel agency and really didn't know what to expect. Chris called at a mutually convenient time and asked several questions to not only get to know me and my husband better but also to know what we wanted out of our trip. He asked what our general interests were and we discussed length of trip and budget. A day or so later he had our itinerary that was still customizable at this point with multiple options for hotels at each stop along the way. I got back to him with our selections along with feedback for some of his selections. He quickly worked up a new itinerary that sounded great to my husband and me. We were able to make payments on our honeymoon and Chris was available by phone or email to answer any question that popped up along the way. (Seriously, I don't think he sleeps because he always got back to us day or night.) The time finally came and we made our way to Greece and the next two weeks were magical. That is not by any means an exaggeration. We were blown away by every aspect of the trip. It was 100% worry free. Every single transfer was thought of and taken care of. Chris came up with hotel choices and all the tours/etc just by talking with me for a half hour but it's like he knew me and my husband our whole lives because that trip was so perfectly, "us." I absolutely recommend Zicasso and Asimina Tours (specifically Chris L) to anyone considering travel to Greece. They gave us tons of info and everything went off without a hitch. Because it was our honeymoon, we really wanted everything taken care of for us. There was always someone to meet us with our name on a sign, and we never had to worry about a thing. We received a whole packet of information about all of the places we were visiting with suggested activities, local attractions and restaurants. The hotels we stayed in were wonderful and the tours they included for us were great. We really fell in love with Greece and will definitely be going back someday.
