She came into my mess of a room and saw immediately what needed to be done. She got to work and was literally on her hands and knees cleaning my closet floor with a cloth (after organizing and helping me get my closet into shape)She is quick and efficient and provides you with tools and advice as to how to keep things up when she leaves. She looked at my bedroom and immediately suggested getting rid of the couch that was basically a clothes holder and replacing it with a dresser. My wife and I have worked with Maureen The Organizing Diva several times. Each time we were impressed with how efficiency, insightful, fun our organizing sessions were. In one instance we had just finished a large home renovation project (one where we revamped the kitchen, changes bedrooms, moved walls, etc.) and wanted some guidance on how best to utilize our new spaces. I started working with a personal organizer back in 2008 when I was still living in New York full time. Back then, I was very typically case of a person with WAY too much stuff and too little space for it. I have since become less of collection's, but I've still found a lot of value in working with a personal organizer. I first contacted Maureen when I moved to Boston for school. I had a lot of stuff, that wasn't clutter so I knew it needed to go somewhere, but the whole process was overwhelming. I had lived in the same house with the same storage situation for over 20 years, so creating new system was mentally difficult. I scheduled her for three hours (which is her normal minimum but because we finished in two, she didn't charge me for the other hour which was super nice of her! The next time I used her was about two years later when I had to unexpectedly move to the other side of town. It was during my finals and I had to go back to New York a week after moving. I simply didn't have time to go through the whole process. She unpacked and organized my entire house in a day while I was on my laptop studying. She also broke down and got ride of all the moving boxes. If I hadn't hired her, I'd likely still have boxes all over the place. In addition to big projects, I've also used her for smaller things. Because I move back and forth from New York and have a busy schedule, I tend to leave things in bags for a very long time. It got to a point were more of my clothing was in bags than in my closet and I called her to help me organize my bedroom. Sometimes the reason things like this doesn't get done is simply because you either don't want to or don't have the time, and I appreciate that I could call Maureen and have her do it with out judgment. She also offers maintenance organizing services which includes light cleaning. For me that's a really good value because while I have people who come in to clean regularly, your typical house keeper doesn't organize they just put things away "neatly" combining the cleaning and the organizing together just makes my life simpler. I highly recommend her services. Even if you are organized, if you are super busy and things get cluttered because of it, hiring her for a few hours once a month could really make your living situation better. read more

I have many years of stored items in my home, including mail, clothing, bills, and different objects that I had picked up over the years many quite lovely but I did not need them all. I have been dreading cleaning out a full attic and garage for years, and knew I'd need a professional to help me sort out what to keep, and how to organize the rest. I wasn't just looking for an extra set of hands, but someone who could make the process enjoyable and not overwhelming. I called Maureen, and we spent about 10 minutes discussing my goals and I immediately knew that she was the right person for the job. She books 3 hour time slots for projects, and I have to say this is the perfect amount of time. She comes prepared with everything you might need to get the job done: scissors, box cutters, a label maker, sharpies, tape etc... I highly recommend preparing with purchasing several clear storage containers ahead of time, and many sizes. I got mine on amazon and the prices there were the best. Having storage bins ready to go, as well as cleaning supplies (non-toxic like Ms Myers, is what she suggests) will make the process much more efficient. Maureen made the process fun, and her life coaching/interpersonal skills were helpful when you have anxiety over items that may be sentimental or may be guilty about purging. There is never any pressure and she is thoughtful and caring in helping you make decisions that are right for you. I am thrilled that she donates functional/usable items to all different charity or thrift locations based on who can use them most. So far we have cleaned out my garage, and my attic and we completed both areas in one 3 hour session each. I have a 16 room victorian house. I have been a collector of art, and sentimental 'STUFF". I was determined to get clearer. Not only was Marueen sensitive to some of the stuff that I was attached to, she worked very hard in being sensitive to my need to hold on to stuff. It was painful, but Maureen hung in there, and gently was able to help me pry myself from needless stuff, and gave me permission to hold on to what I wasn't yet ready to let go of.
