The only reason I gave them 2 stars is because the maintenance workers are awesome and fix the issues when they come up. I also believe I was being ripped off with energy costs. I now live in a 3 bedroom house in the same town and pay a fraction I paid while living at Campus Manor in a 2 bedroom apartment. I even had a $50 credit each month from campus manor for electric and gas. The pool is the defacto community pool since they never check for passes. So pretty much you are sharing the pool with all those who live around you. The apartments are party central with loud parties every weekend and they rarely enforce parking after office hours which means parking is a hassle. Further proof of the communication issues is I moved out 2 months ago and I have received 3 emails to my WIU student email to sign up as a new resident. Apparently they refuse to do research and simply send spam emails to anyone. I have asked them not to send me anymore emails but I have been ignored each time. I do not recommend to those who value privacy and a quiet relaxed place to live. They are also the same at Campus Pointe since its the same company.

Our apartment was absolutely spotless, to the point of the management using our apartment to show to potential clients on multiple occasions. We took very good care of our place, it was home. Needless to say, when it came around to moving out, we were charged $430 in cleaning fees. We also were told that an in-person inspection was not something they did, even though on the bill for the fees, it had a spot for that option... We were not notified of the charges until we received a letter that informed us that we would be sent to collections if it was not paid. I checked on the first of the month and the charges were not there. I do not recommend living here if you expect to get a security deposit back at the end. Very misleading practices if you ask me.

When you move in they act like as long as you leave your apartment the same way it was when you moved in, you would receive your deposit back. This is untrue, they give you a three page cleaning sheet down to pulling out your washer and dryer and wiping the back sides...obviously when I moved in, I did not check things like that to see if they were done when I arrived. Also, I never used my stove or oven and was charged for them having grease stains. Additionally, they charge you for carpet cleaning which is taken out of your deposit, but you are not informed about this at the initial signing of the lease. They also will take your last month's water bill out of your deposit...this would be fine if it was not marked up 300%...no joke. I had my apartment professionally cleaned and ended up with at least $100 off my deposit, I would not recommend these people, and if you don't smoke, they do in their office so every time you leave you smell terrible.

Fairly certain he was drinking heavily, and possibly on some serious uppers. After no progress being made for over 3 weeks, we asked Dan to leave and voided the contract. A day after we had him come get his tools and things, we found a glass pipe with what must have been meth or crack in it, under the ledge where Dan had put his phone, drink, keys etc. Very disappointed in what we had been so hopeful about.
