I had two temporary crown place on and the fell off repeatedly within a two weeks span. I went back to have the official crowns put on and it didn't fit. I cannot in good faith recommend this location to anyone. The office staff were professional but I am now once again not sure that the particular dentist that I was assigned is capable of her job. Currently in the process of contacting the Attorney General's office with all documentation to file a formal complaint against this practice for the hideous mess they made in my mouth and then proceeded to overcharge me. Dont even know where to start, went to Aspen to get a bridge to replace one missing tooth. Had multiple x-rays done and a full exam to confirm I could get a bridge, bridge was ordered, two teeth surrounding bridge were prepped and temporary crowns added. I came back two weeks later to get the bridge put in only to be told I now needed a root canal on one of the anchor teeth. The dentist didn't have time to do the root canal at that appointment so I made another appointment for two weeks later, at this appointment she did insist on putting in the new bridge in temporarily as she said it would be fine with a temporary Cement until I could come back for the root canal in two weeks. Well, I came back in two weeks and she could not get the bridge out of my mouth, her suggestion was to just leave it there until it fell out and then come back and get the root canal. fast-forward to two weeks after that, and I call Aspen as there's a very bad taste in my mouth and my breath is very bad and the odor is coming from the new bridge, I voiced to my concerns only to be told that I can get an appointment in around 4 to 5 weeks. I had prepaid for the root canal which she did not do because she couldn't get the bridge out that was supposed to be in on a temporary basis ( she said the dental assistant used the wrong cement) to do the root canal and today the increibly rude receptionist "Diamond"who has a history of giving untrue information. Informed me that I had not paid for a root canal I had paid for a bridge, I let her know that yes I paid for the bridge. I have all the receipts and I also went ahead and paid for the root canal in advance for which I have the receipts, they also went ahead and maxed out my insurance to make sure they got that extra money . She was incredibly rude, and this wasn't the first time stating there's nothing she can do and somebody would call me back, needless to say no surprises, nobody ever called me back and now I have to go to another dentist to try and get them to fix the mess that Aspen made in my mouth. thanks to Aspen Beaufort. I may lose the two teeth that the bridge is attached to, they don't care about doing the right thing, they have their money and now they don't want anything to do with the disaster they created. They are one doctor short at the moment and I noticed the dentist totally rushed through appointments which I think is where this problem started, preparation for two crowns, took approximately 20 minutes and in between doing that she was rushing in and out to tend to other patients. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all costs, no matter how nice you try to be they will walk all over you, take your money, max out your insurance and then when they make some very serious errors in your dental work ghost you and want nothing to do with you. Thanks to Aspen in Beaufort, I'm probably going to lose two perfectly good teeth if they can't be saved by another dentist and to add to that my new bill to fix what they did is looking around $5000. read more

Aspen Dental always reaches out after a visit to see how they did and I always provide feedback, mostly good but sometimes bluntly. Dentist Mishka confronted me today about a comment I made recently. She apparently cannot accept honest criticism. I am not happy with their dental work . She advised me to go to another practice and I am. I already paid for my upcoming lower partial so will finish that out. My teeth do not look natural and I should be refunded my $ as their money back guarantee advertises. This company is not affordable. I have insurance and it is still costly. Both dentists have been inconsistent with advice. My Wife 1st went there but Mishka would not do what she wanted do she went to a more competent Dentist, wish I had. Consumer beware. The support staff are highly competent but not do with an aging Dentidt Ayer's and a Dentidt serving a huge ego. Be aware and don't be afraid to walk out, there are better dentists in the area. read more

I requested and paid for a cancer screening, but they also billed the same amount to my insurance, which was approved. Now, they inform me that my reimbursement is pending and they can't return my money until they receive the insurance payment in 90 days. This situation raises suspicions, as in the initial treatment quote, I was asked to pay for several services that are typically covered by insurance. I presume that if I had accepted, they would have improperly billed these significant amounts to my insurance as well. read more

RIPOFF ALERT! They can't just give you a simple cleaning. Here's the SCAM & I ran into this before years ago same kind of place in Charleston. They offer you a good price for a cleaning then take a TON of XRAYS to probably give you cancer & an unqualified "hygienist" comes in & tells you a BOGUS story you've got "bone loss" & an imaginary "gum disease" THREE major problems with this BLATANT LIE!. 1. Went to a highly qualified DENTIST for YEARS in Charleston where they take XRAYS too & NEVER heard a negative thing about my teeth or gums, absolutely no pain or bleeding either. When I told the unqualified "hygienist" this she actually had the audacity to say, " I had a LOUSY Dentist" & walked out in a huff LOL. This is SLANDER of a highly trained medical PROFESSIONAL that will be reported to Dr Franklin a VERY renowned Dentist & ASPEN"S corporate office will hear about it. 2. Their OWN DENTIST who is a professional said a "little bone loss" at the SAME area she was trying to scare me with to sell their bogus "Treatment Plan" because he has an ethical code to uphold or lose his license to practice. He then said I had a broken tooth that needed a filling which was helpful (guess the "hygienist" didn't notice that HONEST moneymaker so stuck on her spiel) & he said OK for the cleaning. Then some dufus comes into the waiting room to discuss my dental plan which I politely said I have NO INTEREST in & just wanted my cleaning to which the unqualified LYING SCAMMING BITCH repled "WELL THAT AIN'T HAPPENIN!" LOL like she'sin authority, So guess I got FIRED for not putting up with BS from the other lying useless BITCH & not fitting into ASPEN DENTAL'S SCAM PROGRAM. 3. They messed with the WRONG MAN because I'm a masters level engineer running my own PROGRAM where I'm paid to be RIGHT so know BS when I hear it because not my first rodeo. IF YOU CAN'T READ ALL OF THIS COMPLAINT, PLEASE DO NOT USE ASPEN DENTAL ESPECIALLY IN BEAUFORT, SOUTH CAROLINA. I went to Aspen Dental in Beaufort, SC on 6/7/2023 to have my teeth cleaned. I was asked if I would like to have a laser screening for oral cancer in addition to the cleaning and was told most insurance companies don't pay for it. I went ahead and had the screening figuring THEY HAD ALREADY CHECKED WITH MY INSURANCE TO BE SURE I WAS COVERED FOR THE CLEANING AND X-RAYS and would see if my insurance covered the laser screening. I had given them all my insurance information PRIOR to my visit. They charged me $30.00 for the laser screening and required me to pay it that day before I left. I was new to my Medicare dental insurance in Beaufort and trusted Aspen Dental (my mistake). Well, I checked with my insurance a little later on and found out they DO COVER LASER SCREENING FOR CANCER. I should NEVER have been charged for this in the first place if Aspen Dental had done their job and checked prior to my visit. I called them on 7/24/2023 (Spoke with Monica supposedly in "corporate" who was very condescending to me. After arguing with me and saying there is nothing she can do to refund me at this time, I asked to speak with her supervisor. She told me more than once "she was as high as I could go". I had to push her to let me speak to her supervisor - Julia. Julia who was also condescending and said there is nothing they can do until the payment posts to my account and they don't know when that will be. Apparently, they had a security breach and were having problems. They told me this information only as a last resort. Well, it has been over 2 months since the service was provided, 1 month since my insurance PAID THEM, and still they can't refund me my $30.00. That is crap!! I worked in the Health Care Industry for over 50 years and believe me when a patient called with a problem, THERE WAS something I could do and did it to help the patient. Customer Service does not exist any more in this country. DO NOT GO TO ASPEN DENTAL. They don't do their jobs, they don't care about their patient's grievances with them, they argue with their patients, and do nothing to remedy the situation. I wonder what they are doing with all the money the insurance companies have paid them since the "breach". I'm sure they are banking that money but don't care at all about refunding patient's who have refunds coming - which are probably a lot since they don't check (or do but still charge you for it) the insurance on a patient prior to their visit. I WOULD NEVER USE ASPEN DENTAL AGAIN AND WOULD URGE YOU NOT TO EITHER. You can believe me when I say, everyone I know from San Diego to Beaufort to Rhode Island will never use them!! I had a Root canal done at Aspen Dental in Beaufort, SC. I was told to report back in three weeks to have the temporary crown put on. I reported to the Bluffton office on October 27th for the temporary crown. I was informed by the Hygienist that if it came off that I could put some tooth paste on it and put it back on. Well the following morning when I brushed my teeth, the crown came off. I took the crown to the nearest office which was the Beaufort office and was informed that they could not put it back on. I asked them why. They said that I would have to go the Bluffton office. I pleaded with them to put it back on. They refused. I went to the Bluffton office. I was informed that I didn't have to wear the crown if my partial was still fitting ok. So asked him if I needed the crown. They said no. Well I hope I'm not being billed for a worthless crown that I didn't need. read more

So I go in for my appointment, during the course of obtaining x-rays, the tech stick her gloves hand in my mouth- went back to the keyboard touching it repeatedly - then came back in with the same gloves and put them back in my mouth.
