I took my 76 year old mother to the aspen dental in Farmington Mo. She broke a tooth and is a great deal of pain. She went In for her visit and was told by Dr Makhdom that he would not just pull a tooth. He had to treat the whole mouth. I understand that, but not removing the broken tooth and trying to hijack her into a bunch of implants she doesn't want or need does nothing for her pain. If being rude and not helping is what you guys are trying to accomplish, well done! We will not be back to Aspen. I should of known that when I scheduled a cleaning and they could get me in within a week that was a red flag. My former dentist is out of network so I figured I'd give Aspen dental a try. No hygienist to see only the assistant and the dentist only to be told he "thinks" I have gingivitis so a regular cleaning can't be done. BTW I just seen my dentist in February and I have no history of this. After a gingivitis cleaning then I could schedule with the hygienist in 6 months. Also its not covered by insurance!' Bit of a rocky start with my Motto aligners. Also a bit of a rocky start while they were having issues with their front office secretary. Have continued to have communication issues with the Motto Aligners representatives. Admittedly, my frustrations with Motto boiled over onto the Aspen Dental team. After I expressed my frustrations, they explained all the complications they have been having as well as their understanding of my own. Even with the rough start, I would recommend Aspen Dental Farmington. With that being said, while getting work done the vibe is super chill. The Dentists played alternative rock (which I love) and was just having a great time. The hygienist is super informative and straight forward with how you need to continue your care. The motto worker in office has been my saving grace. She has been incredibly patient and helpful. She even contacted other offices and found a better way to keep my attachments from falling off. With an unsteady start, this office has been super accommodating and helpful. I would recommend this office to anyone. read more

I went in today for my initial consult in which they took xrays and checked my teeth. They placed me in a swivel chair to move back and forth for the x-rays (weird) and the arms were sticky. Then once the dentist came in to look over my teeth, he told me it "looked good" and that the dental hygenist (Micki) would be in. She came in, looked over half of my mouth and talked while she did it without her mask on! SHE LITERALLY SPIT IN MY MOUTH WHILE TALKING!!!! I was mortified! She told a completely different story than the dentist in which I have gingivitis and need two separate cleanings (which I know is not the case as I am pretty sure she just saw my gum graft on the bottom and decided that was sign of disease due to the different color of the graft from my other gums). Once I went to check out, my insurance covers this appointment and a cleaning every 6 months. THE GUY TOLD ME THAT MY NEXT APPOINTMENTS WOULD BE $400.00 TOTAL AND HE UPSOLD ME SOME WATER PICK WHICH HE ALREADY PUT ON THE AMOUNT. He then told me "IT WILL BE $90.00 TO SCHEDULE YOU FOR YOUR NEXT APPOINTMENTS". I told him that is not a thing and I will pay when I come for the appointment and pay then. When he said I had to pay I walked out. Disgusting and disgraceful! Thinking about reporting the hygienist as I have NEVER had someone spit in my mouth in my life! So gross!! They quote you a estimate for service, after the service its $2000+ more than an estimate. Then they don't bill the insurance correctly and want $600 more to provide finish to complete the service. I have a $1600 medical bill with teeth that brake and do not fit. The Dentist Is friendly and has a great personality, the assistant "Cadillac " was very helpful and Jamie is the perfect example of a customer care representative. My review isn't about the people - most of my experiences with the staff were good. My review is about the billing practices of this location. I have a dental credit card opened by Aspen when they started my treatment plan. I was told to bill the part of the plan we knew insurance wouldn't cover and then we'd find out later if insurance denied any charges. After several months, my immediate upper didn't fit well, but they kept relining it with the expectation I would get my permanent upper denture soon. I was told at each visit (of which there were many) that I didn't need to worry about any balances. The last visit I had, I was told insurance was posted and my balance was zero. Today, less than two weeks after being told to not worry about any bills, I made the one hour trip to the office expecting to pick up my final upper denture and be able to comfortably eat again. I checked in and sat down, only to be told to cough up $512 that the insurance wouldn't pay or I wouldn't get my denture. I thought, no problem, even though I was previously told not to worry about a bill, I'd use my dental credit card to pay and fight over the insurance later so I could get my denture. Then and only then was I told my account was past due because the original procedure had been done months prior so they wouldn't let me use the over $1000 available credit on my dental credit card. I had to pay in cash, credit, or check, and that the company that ran the dental card would deny the charge if they tried. I asked them to try anyway, and sure enough I was given a receipt showing it was denied. I called the card company. They said this is not their policy and has never been their policy and they showed no attempted transaction against my dental card account. I left the office without my upper denture. This is an ongoing issue, so if anything changes, I will update my review - but anyone looking to use a dental credit card of any type, be aware that if your account is sent in to insurance, and insurance doesn't pay out, you'll be responsible for paying the balance outright if it takes more than 30 days. read more

My experience was ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. The dentist has placed a crown on top of a tooth that needed a root canal!! I have been in pain for 5 months now waiting to get into a dentist for it to be extracted!! I can't eat on my left side, due to the pain, or right side, as I need a partial, so am eating with my front teeth. The crown placement began in December 2022, so should have been billed to my insurance for that date. Instead it was billed for January 2023, when the crown was placed. So therefore, my partial has to wait until 2024, and I'll have to pay out of pocket for the tooth to be extracted AND for my front tooth that has broken off due to eating with the front teeth. I now eat soup and soft foods, and suppose that's it until I get the tooth extracted in July of this year! PLEASE READ THE REVIEWS AND BEWARE!!!! read more

Horrifying Experience! He started off saying " Don't worry, I'm gonna take good care of you..." Not only was the dentist condescending and rude to me, but he became verbally abusive to his assistant. I wasn't even numb before he began working on me. He became irritated when I flinched in pain when he struck my tooth. So after having almost 2 years of treatment with Aspen Dental, nothing the dentist did remained permanent. 7 fillings, all fell out, 2 crowns, 1 fell out, 1 is hiding an abscess. The 2 teeth that hold my partial in place are so decayed and weak I can no longer wear my partial. I found this all out today after seeing a REAL DENTIST!! I spent over $7k at Aspen Dental in Farmington, MO. PLEASE listen to me and DO NOT GO THERE. This company has cost me more money than I ever thought. Terrible service. Dr Timothy Taylor butchered my mouth. Pulled teeth broke them off and left them. I ended up in the ER and my Dr office for infection and pain. I had to go to festus office and back Farmington office to have them removed . And had to have my bone shaved down because Dr Taylor messed my mouth up . They lost my new teeth. They said have to do it all over again and they want more money. I have the receptionist on video talking to me about how Dr Taylor messed a lot of their patients iup. I'm going to a meeting with a lawyer. Anybody interested in a class action law against Aspen dental contact me on Facebook if you was done this way. They blame everything on their old office manager. New office manager won't let me talk to her district manager. I been being treated for six months for the same thing. This place should not be recommended to anyone. read more

The largest issue with the Farmington, Mo. office is Aspens practice of having you pay full amount, that they come up with and run to your insurance and the balance MUST be paid in full before they touch you. then as you progress through the process, some how they claim that insurance paid less or rejected a claim that they cleared in advance, so now you have to pay them even more above the agreed amount you would pay. After the procedure was completed got an invoice that I have a fairly large balance on account. Then I requested it to be sent to me and then the fun begins. They split up the amount three checks, one was returned, one was credit back to my credit card and the third was being mailed. Well bottom line we still come up less than their balance showed, now the real fun call the office and all you hear is, "give me a couple days to look into this and I'll get back with you, well never, I mean never happens, they never call you back, no email, no letter, just ignore you so you go away. The staff is excellent, very qualified and seem to really care about the customer. The dentist or doctor, I went through three or four in a year kept coming in and going out, I didn't care about. I've been to the Farmington, MO office for over a year and that was way too long and my entire family will not be going back for the following reasons. 1. I called to cancel my upcoming 6 months cleaning and I was told it was never scheduled. I have my hygienist handwritten card in front of me the last time I had my cleaning done. 2. Every time we go there as a family the hygienist rushed our appointments because she was behind and our teeth doesn't feel as clean. 3. After the cleaning the dentist never come in and check. Every dental office I've ever gone to dentist always, always come in and evaluate after cleaning. 4. If I could give this place less than one star, I would!!! OMG. We went in for my husband to get some dental work done. They created a Treatment Plan to the tune of $5324 (we have no dental insurance) and required 60% down, which I paid with a credit card ($3194!). He had some teeth pulled, they never healed, he got infected, we had to ASK for antibiotics and they told him to take one a day. After almost three weeks, he still wasn't better, came in and saw a third and different doctor that he'd never seen before and he said those antibiotics weren't nearly enough and he should have been taking four per day. They failed to tell us that they don't even have a permanent doctor!! I just found out that the reason why he never saw the same doctor twice is because they get their doctors from a temp agency and they don't stay longer than a day or two each time!!! NO ACCOUNTABILITY!! I would have never given them my deposit had I known this. So, TODAY we go in and they called us in telling us we had to pay another $900 before the doctor would treat him today, but, they lie and advertise that their policy was that we paid the balance due upon completion of the work!! WTH??? When I balked at paying it, because that's not what I was told, they refused to see him today! Then when I said I wanted my money back, they said they would not honor their money back guarantee because you have to complete treatment but yet they were refusing us treatment so how can we be satisfied with the job when they are denying us completion of it????!!! I thought they were a good dental office until I started looking at my bill. It seems they charged me $43 for a fluoride treatment for my next visit 6 months down the road. They refunded that money when I brought it to their attention. You do not need a fluoride treatment only in your adolescent years and still not required. Then I looked at the bill further and a charge for a buildup for the crown for $268. A build-up is only required if the tooth is broken or decayed near the gum line, which my tooth was neither. They refused to refund my $268. However, I have filed a dispute with my credit card company. Hopefully I will get my $268 back. All in, I don't recommend nor will I go back to this or any Aspen Dental. Dishonest company! read more

When I showed up the receptionist kept arguing with me that my appointment was at a different time, even though I had a card with the date and time for my appointment. The dentist then came out and told me that they had changed my appointment and it was my fault I was late and would have to reschedule.
