When we got they ran typical X-rays I been going to a dentist regularly so no cavities at all just wanted a cleaning and a new dentist b/c we just moved to the area. then the doctor was like your teeth are good you just have early stages of periodontal disease its not bad but we recommend you get a produce done to remove the infection It's stage 1 no biggy. Do NOT go here you will be scammed, the staff is very unprofessional and unreal. I went in for an exam everything went ok. Although I had another appointment in June for a cleaning I checked in to the office the person sitting at the desk named Adriana she told me my insurance was "not accepted here and it will not be accepted anytime in the future". However when I called my insurance they called and talked to her she claimed to never had said that and called me a flat out liar. I called corporate to explain what had happened and corporate told me they lost my records and only managers had access to it. It stuck me as odd and off. I was also seen in the New Castle location and they took X-Rays and everything in February of 2023 and I was told they cold not transfer records. Corporate talked to the store manager and the store manager called me. In the background I could hear Adriana absolutely talking about me and that I was absolutely trying to get her in trouble with my insurance by telling 2 different stories. They charged my insurance twice for an exam and took X-Rays twice even though it was only 6 months apart. I refused the 2nd X ray stating that they already had them on file. Even my insurance told them I was not eligible for another X-Ray so I refused. They told me I could not refuse the X Ray due to legal reasons. My insurance did not believe that at all. The staff seem to laugh and talk about patients behind their backs such as "that patient smelled absolutely disgusting" and laughing. I cannot say enough about this place. The staff is very friendly, very accommodating, very professional. They fixed my implant denture not once but twice within a week for 2 separate repairs. The dentist was very helpful and honest which I appreciate, and, best of all, they took my insurance and the out of pocket was ridiculously inexpensive. Oh and the wait to see the dentist...less than 10mins! I highly recommend this dentist and Aspen Dental in general. read more

Horrible place. I went in to have a tooth replaced on my top denture. I chose Aspen bc they have an on-site suite that does repairs and what not. They said they could replace it in an hour for $80. I went ahead with it bc the missing tooth was in the front. I also had an exam for my lower teeth, which are in terrible shape. They are real. I saw the dentist, which did a 10 second exam... he told me that I needed app bottom teeth removed and he recommended 2 implants to hold the bottom denture in. That's what I am leaning towards anyways. Then I go out to go over everything with the billing part. $7,600.00 to remove 7 teeth and place the implants and denture... that's WITH insurance. I am then informed that you have to have a credit check to get approved for a payment plan, which would be approximately $300 a month, plus interest!!!! This place sucks!!!!! I will never go back. They fixed my denture so half assed, it looks like crap. read more

My father, a WW II vet, was totally ripped off from Aspen dental in Hermitage, Pa. He has 6 front teeth and a full upper plate. They charged him 75 dollars to clean 6 teeth and never removed his upper plate which should have been taken out and soaked. They said he had a cavity in one of his remaining teeth and drilled half of it away and charged him $122.00. I could not see a filling in his tooth. $200.00 later I picked him up. I called the manager and she refused to refund any of his money. We will never go to Aspen Dental again. Nor will anyone I know!! read more

In 2009 I had bridgework done to The the entire upper portion of my mouth. A lot of pain and a lot of expense. The dentist that did the work had literally no personality. He put the bridges in, neglecting to tell me that the space on the right side of my mouth was to wide to support the pressure that normal eating and sleeping would produce. In 2013 I had an appointment with Aspen Dental in Greenville, SC. While working on my teeth, the dentist broke the bridge on the right. He refused to fix it. It did not completely break off. It broke on the portion closest to the front of my mouth. I went to a specialist outside of Aspen Dental and paid over $400 for a temporary fix. It was very temporary. It only lasted a couple of months. The specialist told me that the space was to wide to be able to support the pressure. He also refused to testify to the fact. I fought and fought with Aspen Dental to fix the issue and was still refused treatment. On top of that they billed me over $500 for breaking it. It is 2018 and the issue is still not resolved. I called Aspen Dental in Erie, PA yesterday and was told that too much time has elapsed and there is nothing that they can do and that each Aspen Dental has different rules. Their 5 year guarantee is a joke. It hasn't been a full 5 years since it broke. At the time Of the break, I notified them immediately and was refused treatment. The specialist want $26,000 to fix their less than adequate work. I had paid $13,000 between myself and insurance when I had it done. Since I notified them Immediately, I feel that they should have fixed it. They didn't and I don't have the kind of money that other dentists are asking to repair it. I am now out the money I spent and have a space on the right upper part of my mouth that is 4 spaces long. I would never and I mean never refer anyone to this company. This is my first time in Aspen Dental ever. So I go into see if my wisdom teeth are in need of being taken out. The man who did my x rays was very shy and not very social. I would have expected for someone to be working at a dentist office would know how to talk to their patients. Still nice though but it felt a little awkward. Then they place me in a dentist chair to wait for the actual dentist. They have a tv connected to the dentist chair which was pretty cool! So the dentist who came in was extremely nice and polite. He knew how to talk to his patients. Here's the bad thing. Currently I'm sitting in this dentist chair and it has been an hour and I have places to be and things to do. He said he would be back but it's been an hour. I know there are other things to do but don't forget about me. I've just been waiting here for a long time. Turns out the computer froze and they just informed us now. Nice. Good luck at this aspen dental. Nice place some nice people. Long wait times. read more

I have repeatedly been overcharged on several occasions. When asking for the refunds, there is always an excuse. Most recently, almost 500 dollars credit is posted on my acct for over a year, when I tried to talk to the office manager, she was rude, cutting me off while I tried to explain what happened. When I asked for her supervisor or a number for corporate, she stated that there is no one else...that this matter has to be dealt with by her. Then went on to state that she put a ticket in and will let me know when she hears back ( from whom I am not sure since there is no one above her :) I said, sure like in march of this year when I asked about it. This was the absolute WORST dental experience of my life. I had a cavity that was killing me, I could not chew on that side of my mouth. I called several different offices before calling Aspen. They got me in quick for both appointments, the x-rays and the actual filling. I even missed my appointment that was scheduled earlier in the week, so at first, I was 'this is great, they are quick' after my filling, I know why. They could not care less about their patients. They care about getting in and out, that's all. I was brought back to a filthy room (I even took pictures) the tools laid out were not clean, stuffing was coming out of the chairs in the arms, the chair was not secured and wobbled all over. The doctor came in, never introduced himself, stabbed the roof of my mouth with the needle of Novocain, when he came back sat down (still no words) began drilling, I was not numb at all, applied more Novocain, ensured he knew what he was doing and that I have a Novocain deficiency, I have never had an issue with Novocain before and have had plenty of work done on my teeth. Once my procedure began, he continuously made comments about being the only doctor there, that I better be the last patient, but he is sure that they scheduled him 16 more, how busy he is. Stopped my procedure and was interrupted by less than friendly staff 3 times to discuss other patients within earshot of me. Rushed through the entire process when he was working on me, left quickly after so there was no option of asking any questions if I had them. I spent the rest of the night with ice on my face due to the swelling and to numb the pain that i still have the next day, along with cotton held in my mouth to stop the excessive bleeding that I had. You would think I had a tooth pulled and not just a cavity filled. I do not recommend this place for anyone, and I honestly would rather have my teeth fall out than every step inside this place again. read more

Went to Aspen because I was having problems with tooth pain after recently moving to the area and wasn't established with a dentist yet. Did a ton of x-rays, the lady that did them was very nice. Then for the exam by the hygienist....hurt like hell! She stuck that probe down to the root, it felt like! All while she was gossiping and laughing with the person taking the notes for her....HELLO, YOU'RE WORKING ON A HUMAN HERE! Then she proceeds to tell me that I need a two part scaling because I have the beginnings of gum disease. What?! I don't smoke or drink and I brush and floss religiously! I know that a measurement over a 5 is cause for concern, but mine were all 3s, 4s, and one was a 5! The dentist came and looked at my teeth, and he was friendly in the "used car salesman" kind of way. Then you go sit with the office manager to go over the prices for everything they say needs done....it started at over $10,000! Then I said I'd be fine having an extraction instead of a root canal on the back tooth causing me pain, so it went down to just over $4,000! After what my insurance pays (which I found out isn't much!) they said I would owe $1,900!! Then she tries to get me to sign up for their credit, which was interest free for 18 months as long as you weren't even one day late, and if you were, they would charge you 25.99% from day one!
