Aspen Dental's service took a complete 180 turn. Six months ago a doctor I had never seen before checked my teeth. He proceeded to ask me to show him how I floss. I understand guiding folks through techniques, but his manner was rude and unnecessary. This was after I waited for him over 30 minutes after my cleaning. A week or so ago I received what I thought was an erroneous email saying I needed to call to reschedule. I received a similar email this morning. Here's what it said: "This is your Aspen Dental care team. We apologize for the short notice, but we need to reschedule your upcoming visit. Give us a call today and we'll get you back on the books." On May 24, 2025 everything seemed fine as I received an email saying "see you for your cleaning soon!" Things changed fast! I called, but the receptionist told me that they aren't simply rescheduling. They are canceling all patient's appointments. They no longer have a doctor and are short at least one hygienist. I inquired when this situation would be resolved and she was unsure. She then suggested I call the offices in Clovis or Roswell, as well as Lubbock, Odessa, and Midland, TX. These destinations are over 90-120 miles away from Hobbs. What a huge disappointment in service and communication. read more

My son went to have his tooth pulled because he was in pain the dr pressured and pressured him to pull more than the one he needed. He finally walked out and went to a dentist who did the one he wanted and didn't try and bully him. read more

Failed to mention the Aspen insurance program so they pocketed an extra $100 off my elderly mother. The office manager has the ability to make the situation right and refused. The traveling dentist was pretty darn good so she gets her own star. read more

Great place and wonderful people. I want to mention in particular dental hygienist Erika Guillen. She is very patient (and I am not an easy patient myself, with very sensitive gums and extreme gag reflex). She speaks Spanish, too. In fact, I believe most staff members are bilingual. 7/6/23 I arrived at 7:30 AM to get my tooth looked at. I went to the front Desk to sign and there was no pen I went to sit down. She told me I needed to sign in. I asked for a pen she tossed it to me I figured right then she didn't like me. She told me there were one open so she took my insurance while I sat down to look for my insurance card, a lady walked in behind me With no insurance no appointment she told her she can have an appointment at 9:30 AM. After I finished finding my insurance I got back to the counter showed her my insurance. She told me I couldn't have an appointment until Tuesday. I asked her why would it take so long? She said it takes two days to confirm my insurance I asked her if I don't have insurance I can come in today she said yes so I told her I don't have insurance. She started putting my paperwork in and then told me I can't come in till Tuesday so I asked her why was it OK for the lady to get an appointment today at 9:30 but not me She said she already had an appointment so I said so she had an appointment at 9:30 but she shows up here at 8 AM and I just listen to you explain to her appointment is at 9:30. She said she already had an appointment I told her it's OK any place that would judge me by my color I wouldn't trust them to work on my mouth. read more

the front staff and the dental hygienist are great. the dentist on the other hand is horrible. I had a tooth pulled on Wednesday and before I could get home, my mouth was throbbing with pain, so I took Tylenol to ease the pain, but didn't help. I agonized with the pain until Friday when I broke down and called the dental office telling them of my problem. the receptionist had me come in that day, fearing I had developed dry socket. when the dentist came in to examine my mouth, and he barely glanced at the problem and very rudely said, this is normal and nothing is wrong. he wrote me a prescription for antibiotic, but said i didn't have an infection. I tried to explain the intensity of the pain but he abruptly turned and walked away. he left me feeling bewildered and puzzled. Saturday, I turned in the prescription to my pharmacy, but they couldn't read his name, and will have to call his office Monday to clarify. Today is Sunday and my mouth still hurts. read more

I had extractions performed through Aspen Dental Hobbs and my procedure and post-op care was very concerning from both the dentist and Oral Surgeon. I now have a new dentist and a new Oral Surgeon, since the Oral Surgeon who performed extractions won't see me post-op, who share in their opinion that I received poor treatment and care. I have been been told I have nerve damage a month into recovery. I'm thankful for my local dentist and suggest trying your local dentist before giving Aspen Dental a shot read more

I went in today with a pain on my left side of my mouth. I thought it was a cavity or something like that. It turns out I clench my jaw and it's causing me pain in my jaw. I need a night guard in here about $500. I husband was just diagnosed with cancer and he got out of the hospital today. He's been out of work for 2 months. They are very kind and understanding there. They put me on a payment plan which is very affordable. They are very thorough and very kind. I highly recommend Aspen Dental above all of you. read more
