I was treated well. However, I went in for pain in a tooth while chewing. Was given an estimate for $5k to extract a tooth and put in an implant. I'm not sure that the "mild chewing pain" is a hint that the tooth needs extraction. I'm going to another dentist for a 2nd opinion next week. To get the suggested work done, I have to wait till January (with the chewing pain) for the dental surgeon. read more

I was happy that they were able to see me quickly when I had an abscess. They did xrays and were hard selling me on having 4 teeth extracted claiming that they were also abcessed. They were going to put me on a payment plan. Luckily I didn't fall for their pitch because 3 years later, i still possess all my teeth with none of their predicted problems. read more

Last summer I visited Aspen Dental after seeing a promotion for free dental exam and x-ray, plus a $60 cleaning. I've been doing an accelerated nursing school so I didn't have time to go for cleaning or checkup as I usually did 1-2 times a year. So I thought let's go for a check up and maybe have my teeth clean. The x-ray was great. But the oral exam took about 15 seconds! I asked if I can have my x-ray results and they DENIED and said that they cannot provide it to patients????? Ok, fine. So I asked to see if I can make an appointment to have my teeth clean. They directed me to their "financial person". They took me to their little office and explained to me that I have receding gums from brushing too hard. There's an "invisible" infection going on and will lead to serious gum disease if I don't treat them NOW AND THEN. Ok, fine. So I asked how much. After all the calculations, they told me it will cost about $2,500 for a two weeks treatment with antibiotics. And then all the "maintenance" appointments will be $250 thereafter. I explained to them that as a student I don't have that much money just to get an antibiotic treatment for the teeth that doesn't bother me. All I need is cleaning. They said they can't just clean my teeth because it will be "too much work for the hygienist". Like, WTF? Does the hygienist own everyone at Aspen Dental? I was extremely disappointing after driving all the way there and wasted almost an entire day just to be told that my perfectly functional teeth are too much work to clean! Disgusting service with a bunch of greedy people on staffing. You all should be ashamed of your careers and services. read more

I am furious with Aspen Dental. I learned today from my new, competent dentist that Aspen Dental did something she would not have done. Two years ago I went to Aspen for a crown. After the novacaine wore off, the crown felt large in my mouth, but I didn't give it a whole lot of thought. Today I learned that the Aspen dentist removed part of a healthy tooth in order to fit the crown properly. She REMOVED PART OF A HEALTHY TOOTH! I am outraged! This is dental butchery! Rather than take away part of my healthy tooth she should have given me a different sized crown - like one that fit. I will never, ever entrust Aspen with my teeth again, not even for a cleaning. My advice to anyone considering Aspen is to go absolutely anywhere but. By the way, they did absolutely everything they could to suck as much money out of me as possible - my final bill was significantly more than the original estimate. Also, I spent a good portion of time in their waiting room. They are reprehensible. read more

I called today because I have a throbbing tooth. The first thing they wanted to do is offer me a $100 gift certificate and proceeded to explain how I could use the certificate. I told the gentleman that I could care less about a $100 gift certificate that I was in pain and needed to make an appointment. He hung up the phone. I will never call ASPEN DENTAL again, nor would I recommend them to anyone. read more

When I had called this office for a consult, they were very, very pleasant and personable. However, undergoing the first appointment was a different matter entirely. Instead of having the work done a bit at a time, they wanted to get it all done at once and gave me an estimate of over $10,000. This was extremely impossible. I had discussed with them my being on disability and thus being a bit financially challenged. I could pay a bit at a time, consistently, but I could not pay all at once. I had the distinct feeling that they were in the funding end of the whole process instead of working WITH the patient and were continuously trying to get me scheduled. When I told them that I could not do this all at once and did not feel that I truly needed everything that they would be doing, their tone distinctly and swiftly changed. I was pressured to have all this work done NOW, and they would not discuss any of the alternatives. and were greatly focused on payment of services BEFORE I had even had anything done. I would NOT recommend this group simply because of their lack of caring, as i had viewed it and understood it. It was very clear that this would NOT be an office that I would frequent or even go back to. read more

I had a terrible experience. I went in as an emergency as my partial broke 3 days before. I had enough money to pay for a new one made and have a few other small things taken care while there. I explained to them that It's hard for me to go to work and having my teeth slipping out of my mouth even with adhesive on them. I was told I can't make you new partials today because you need this done and that done and I need to pay 4,000 in work before he'll even touch me. I was like I have no issue getting other stuff done, but can we take care of helping me have temp partials?? she said sure Ill need 1500.00 today for a temp partial and a filling?? Are you kidding me?? I was prepared to pay 900.00 but not 1500.00 on the spot. I felt like this location wanted money. That is all they seemed to care about. These people act like everyone is made of out money. Oh we can finance you etc I already have care credit I don't need to get anymore things on my plate. So, when I said I can't do all that today. They were like well hope to hear from you soon. I mean like so my 900.00 today wouldn't be good enough to help me? Expensive. You have to fill out to many papers. You dont get to take the paper home to think about diagnosis & price to think about. I went in for a partial and diagnosis was for everything was over $4,000. Which i cant afford. Senior citizen on fixed income. I signed paper to have it done.
