Had an appt. on March 3rd and have been calling to get assistance with insurance and next steps until today. I was placed on hold several times one time for 24 minutes, another 11 minutes. Do NOT trust the "Estimate" quoted! Having prior dental insurance claims experience, I knew they should have filed a "pre-estiment" to our insurance company, which was not done until I called my insurance company & they immediately requested a detailed pre-estiment. I was quoted $2200 on our estimate which was not totally itemized. On hold to speak to either the manager or the insurance department at Aspen Dental, the recording states "You will receive our 'guaranteed detailed quote' so there are no surprises". After speaking to the Dental agent at my Insurance company, it seems Aspen Dental had failed to include (in my estimate) extra costs that were not covered by my plan that raised my final cost to $3100. Of course, after leaving a voice mail at Aspen Dental, no one returned my call. Aspen Dental in Shreveport Louisiana is the worst dentist I've ever encountered in my life !! The staff was rude , ignorant, racist, and did not tell you anything about what they were going to do meaning they didn't explain anything. The hygienist but over 20 shots of Novocaine into my infected gums and I don't believe she knew what she was doing or even cared I almost passed out due to the pain and my blood pressure going through the roof and she did not care. The lady that does the billing is also rude and they are very shady when it comes to the billing . I am so angry with how I was treated I'm thinking of getting a lawyer and going to the news ! The staff was friendly but the time management was poor!!! Going in they say you can get your dentures in a day I was being realistic knowing that would not be possible. After my initial exam I spoke with the office manager which is where she provided me with the charges and then she assist me with applying for financing after all that was taken care of she said when I pay my portion I will have 2 more visits and I could pick my dentures up that Saturday which would mean the whole process would've taken about a week she gave me my next scheduled appointments Now here comes the problem the next appointment oh we are sorry we are having problems with the lab so now the dentures will not be ready when promised now it's time to reschedule being as though they were going to be off 2 days for the holiday that pushed my next appointment off 10 days so I finally make it to the next appointment where I thought I was supposed to pick the shades because I have yet to do that I get to that appointment they have already picked the shade of the teeth without me even having a chance to see the choices so then I asked about the shade of the gums the assistant stated I don't have a chart in here and she went on to say that most people get such and such without showing me anything. Which leads me to today which Is the day for me to pickup the dentures and now they have to reschedule again due to lab issues pushing me off 9 more days. I'm supposed to start my payments to the finance company on January 9th the way my appointment is for the January 8th I am so upset with them I was told I would have my denture before Christmas and now it's going to be after New Year's and I still may not have them because whenever they do come back the shades better be what I want because I should have had some say so in the matter if its not what I want back they will go!!! I feel as though we got our money from her and the finance company so now we can do whatever whenever we want read more

We get here and they said we don't have you down for an appointment and try to pretend to look dumb. The receptionists are slow and make us late on purpose to pass their 10 minute grace period. Terrible customer service from Jennifer, office manager. June 2022 took mother in for complete dentures with bottom snap-on dentures. Bottom dentures required intensive care. Staff, and clinic manager, Brandy Upchurch, was very professional,inviting,warm and acommidating. March 2023, mother returned to pick up dentures after an earlier fitting. Upon initial encounter with Jennifer, she invites my mother to the public restroom to try on her dentures.NON-PROFESSIONAL, NON-HYGENIC, AND TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Subsequent encounters were very combative & argumentative. May 13, 2023, Jennifer hung the phone up in my face during our phone conversation. This got to be the worst dental offices in Bossier City and Shreveport, La. The office call and send text messages as a reminder. The text message has the correct time but the call always is incorrect. After telling them the correct time, they give you attitude. The business charged my credit card for services that I didn't have. Then on top of that one of the charges was for an Oral B toothbrush. My nine year old daughter was denied care by Dr. Mohammadi for a routine cavity, after we had earlier been told that SHE WOULD care for the tooth if it became painful. I called five times to schedule an appointment for my daughter, who at this point was in severe pain, and no one ever returned my phone call. Finally, my husband who was there for his own appointment, inquired and was informed that Dr. Mohammadi refused to provide care (to my daughter), and she told us to take her to a pediatric dentist. This dental clinic advertises that they provide care to all children over the age of six on their website. Further, nowhere do they list ANY RESTRICTIONS to the type of care that they will provide to children. I guess Dr. Mohammadi just doesn't like kids, or maybe she is just not good with kids? We are not talking about a deeply invasive procedure here. It was a CAVITY. To make sure I hadn't missed something in the fine print on their website, I called Aspen Dental direct and asked if they took children (I was assuming yes, as they had already seen my daughter)? The answer given was "yes, of course, over the age of six with a parent or guardian", and then I asked if there were any restrictions on the care provided to children, such as filling a cavity? The answer was "no, in fact we have a dentist and an oral surgeon at both of our locations to help with any dental needs your child may have!" REALLY??? Very Interesting. Dr. Mohammadi lied to us, and she and her staff were not only egregious in ignoring our calls for care, they were outright negligent; this woman took an oath to provide care to her patients and she has no integrity. We are in a PPO, and there are no pediatric dentist providers (in our plan) in our area, so finding a pediatric dentist quickly was not going to happen. When I brought my concerns to the office manager's attention today, she could not have cared less. There was no apology for how we had been treated, and there certainly was no concern for my daughter as their patient. In fact the only response I received from the office manager was a correction on how I pronounced Dr. Mohammadi's name. Unbelievable. These people do not care. We will not be returning, and this office should be shut down for misrepresentation of care and false advertising - which is a crime! read more

Terrible company, THEY cancelled my appointment literally 6 times technical issues, scheduling issues with the scheduling department, I made a blank trip to their office, the scheduling department had scheduled me for an appointment and when I arrived they stated that I was not on their schedule and the endodontist was not in on that day.I paid half of my money down for a root canal, then the endodontist quit, I have been trying to contact this office for over 2 weeks, they are not answering the phone to get my refund, I have been calling the call center and they have not been able to reach them as well, this is the most unorganized, unprofessional dentist office, I have ever seen to have multiple offices in different states. Went there for my scheduled visit. I arrived early yet the office was closed by the time my appointment time was scheduled. I waited 5-10 mins after and finally they came in and the front desk lady opened the door with an attitude and I over heard her tell another employee the Whole office was running late from lunch. Not a single person to attend customers. An additional 30 min wait. Then they were rude, after appointment there was no one present to do a follow up, schedule next visit or even check out. I had to essentially walk out with no information feeling ripped off. They have lack of availability for follow ups. They want payment several weeks in advanced for services NOT performed. Very used car feel as they try to upsell you on anything. It takes 3 Weeks and you have to contact corporate to get a copy of your X-Rays. Similar experience to the other reviews. Would not recommend even if for free. If you have to go expect the same level of Customer Support of Burger King or worse. read more

I recently switched to a new dentist. The staff here is very friendly, but it seems that every time I come hey have technical issues. On my initial appointment, their X-ray machine was down, so they did a lot of guess work with my teeth. At another appointment, the air was out. So, it was extremely hot in the building. Then, at my last appointment, their systems were down. Lastly, they are very pushy about the financing option they have. I let the girl know that upfront, I wasn't interested, but she kept pushing it. Overall, it's not a bad place, but I can't recommend a place that doesn't have a contingency plan when things go down. Or at least call the patient to tell them they are having issues and offer to reschedule appointments. read more

My first visit was horrible and my second visit was worse! First Visit: my appointment was at 3pm and I didn't get seen til around 6. the girl didn't know how to take x-rays of my teeth and said "forget it". I got to the back finally and the dentist were nice for the most part. Second Visit: I scheduled to get my wisdom tooth taken out for the following week and made a down payment. That weekend (2 days before my appointment). they call me saying that the dentist will be out of town and that the dentist they have on hand isn't prepared to do that type of procedure. my parents and I had already take off of work for the procedure and had to call our managers to let them know we could come in. I demanded a REFUND ! That Monday I get a call from the office stating that I can come in for the appointment and that the dentist "the one that was scared to do my appointment" would finally pull my tooth. Came in January to get impressions for my partials and then teeth pulled. The dentist that was a floater suggested pulling teeth first then coming back for impressions. Before this all happened I paid up front 1700.00 on care credit card. Later I called to make an appointment to have impressions done they said I had to wait until May!!!! I recently got a offer to go overseas with my daughter and called to have my card credited for the partials I did not have done they said 48 hours!!! Went to Aspen Dental free exam bullshit charge me $145 then put a hidden feed in for a toothbrush of $225 that my dad was paying for everything they said I had ginger Vytis so they got my dad to pay 400 and something dollars for the first part and claimed they gave me a discount and then said the rest of it in with me 1600 including a cap Then I'm waiting for the cleaning in the first doctor was kind of rude but the hygienist was OK that they would never tell me they were charging for the toothbrush I had to wait about an hour for my ride and I got to looking at the receipt because they said it was included in the price so I would not recommend going to this place first doctor said I had one tooth to fill in the hole and a Nother one to And that was all included in the price then the billing bread come in and I kept telling him about the toothbrush that I gave back to them that I had a $225 credit and then he said no he does not see that but he noticed they charged me for the entrance exam which was 145 so now that brings it up to $400 and I have to go back to get the whole Emma to field in which they left it open and will not do nothing until after the holiday I called them a week before telling them I need them to feel and then the whole the same day but nobody did anything I am seriously angered and this satisfied about this company I think they are out to screw people then they are to help people they're only out there for the money do not guilty of this finished find a normal dentist read more

This has been the absolute worst experience I have had with Aspen. I had a 5pm appointment and I'm still waiting to be seen. Then when I finally get called back the lady that's doing my vitals says " I'm just gone get her to sign this consent and move to the next it's too much going on today", so unprofessional to speak that way in front of the patient. I'm very disappointed and I will be finding another dentist office. If I could give them 0 stars I would just for this experience alone. If I could give aspen dental zero stars I would. I went in for a crown. They took X-ray all the fun stuff. Showed up for my apt and they almost did the wrong tooth. It had been marked wrong on the chart. my apt was at 2pm. Left there at 7pm due to the dr stopping and going to other patient rooms. When it was time to get my perm crown. I got off wrk went to apt and the dr was not there. Had to reschedule. Went to the next apt and they said they didn't hav the crown. WTH? I then made two other apps that I had to cancel because I couldn't keep getting off wrk. Oh and while trying to reschedule my crown fitting the dr quit! Yes quit. So had to wait again and was told to reschedule. I waited a month. Now today they say that I canceled 2 apt within 90 days I can no longer schedule an apt I must call daily to see if they can fit me in. Yes Daily. Who has to time off wrk to just see if they can fit them in. This place is horrible. They tried to sell me on that I had gum disease. And need a treatment plan costing over $3000. On my initial visit I had a comprehensive evaluation with the dental assistants and the dentist which really helps you to know what you need to do and then afterward a discussion of the costs. The dentist/doctor and everyone is very professional and nice. I came back to have two extractions and was not 100% sure if I wanted to lose one of my teeth even though I chose to and she was very nice and clarified all my definitive choices again and helped me understand my options before the procedure. Everyone is very nice and the atmosphere is clean and nice which helps ease anxiety if you are like me and dread it and don't go as often as you need to. I didn't have to wait long, in fact I was seen very fast and did not feel rushed on either visits. You get to keep your optional plan/evaluation folder that they go over plus it's all in writing for you to have. When you have a procedure done, you get after care instructions. My experience was good. They really helped me feel better. I went in thinking my mouth was hopeless and came out with much more confidence. read more
