I rate a ZERO! I cannot even give them a star, but I have to add a star in order to do the review! They had us pay up front, then billed insurance. Aspen said if the insurance pays we would get a refund of what insurance agrees to pay. I keep calling regarding the refund and they keep telling me that they are still "fighting" with the insurance and it's still pending. Funny, how that is a total lie as several insurance agents set up 3 way calls with me to help get this resolved. The insurance has requested multiple times x-rays and other information needed. Aspen doesn't seem to know how to work with the insurance as they have hung up on the 3 way calls and not send all of the requested info. The insurance agents have made notes of Aspen hanging up at their end stating they "just hung up". This has happened more than once. When you call back at a later time you get another person and when you explain about the hang ups their excuse is "we have noted the call was disconnected". Really?!! More than once on a 3 way call?! I called Aspen again and they said I needed to talk to their office manager but he is presently in a meeting and will call me back. I called the insurance again,we did another 3 way call. The insurance agent talked to Aspen and requested X-rays be sent by email. The insurance agent did receive 1 X-ray, but apparently not all the info like before.. The office manager called back the next day and explained the same old story "that they are stilling fighting the insurance and apologizes that this is taking so long (9 months) and if I have any questions please call him back. I called back and when I spoke with another person in the billing/insurance dept all I got was " I am sorry your breaking up" so I repeated I would like to speak to the office manager. I'm sorry ma am' I can't hear you you are breaking up". I was so angry and told him I was tired of this crap and their excuses either "we are disconnected or your breaking up and I can't hear you". I just hung up. We did not have any trouble with the treatment it's just the office/billing/insurance people you can not deal with. All Aspen needs to do is send in the required information needed (all of it at the same time) by our insurance so we can receive our out of pocket refund. read more

Better watch you after you pay and your insurance has paid a year and a half you will get a bill . Then you check and find out that they have been payed from you and your insurance. They not only lost future business but they will not get anything i don't owe. read more

This is a follow-up to a review I did a while back. Now Aspen Dental says I owe them to the tune of $285. for appointment/services from 9/23. six months later they send a bill! Repeated calls have been to no avail. The new office mgr. says they won't waive the bill even if I'm a disabled Vet. The Aspen Dental Clinic is only open on Thursdays, my appointment was at two-thirty p.m. (2:30 p.m.). I had to resubmit the insurance information even though I had been there numerous times before this. After waiting to get resubmitted, which took some time, I was finally seen by the Dental Assistant who took X-Rays and put my teeth into a Dental Autoclave to clean the teeth. An unknown person in a white coat came into the examination room and looks into my mouth and tries to sell me Dental Implants his white coat read Dr. Parag Modi to the tune of Six-Thousand Dollars plus ($6,000 +). The previous Dental Intake person made the program sound good and like the brochures, you read, you do get what they offer on the first visit, and sold me on getting the dentures. I got my dentures and took out a finance program which ended up costing me Eight-Thousand Dollars ($8,000.00) dumb me, huh! Yesterday I found out this visit was only for cleaning of the teeth and not for a fitting adjustment. That there will be no adjustments. I got the denture warranty for five (5) years, a warranty just to get the teeth clean, some warranty, huh? It took aspen Dental over 1 year to correctly bill our insurance company. We paid over $600 extra in interest on my c/c due to my insurance not paying for over 1 year. When finally settled and after we had personally paid off the bill our insurance paid. It has been over 6 weeks and numerous calls and we have yet to recieve our refund. The office team tells me when I call the business office manager is working with me on this and that I would need to speak to her. I have left 8 voice messages and tried sending an email (which was blocked). This negative and or lack of response tells me more about the business then anything else. read more

I wish Yelp would let me give zero stars. This place is a COMPLETE & UTTER joke!! I waited over 6+ months to get in. They screwed up my first appointment, making it at a different location & then rescheduled for another month out. The week leading up to my appointment they must have called at least 20 times to verify all my info & insurance which apparently they lost each & every previous time they got it from me. Finally, day of my appointment & I go to check in & they don't take my insurance. WOW, is all I can say. I have never had such trouble going to see the Dentist. Don't go to the SPRINGFIELD office. I've paid over 3,000 $ more than I was quoted and for the first time I came there they kept saying I had 3 different files. I think that's why the bill kept getting messed up. I had denture supported implants on the bottom and kept popping up within 6 months and they charged me 511$ to put new abutments in. I'm not the kind of person that's hard to please i just want what I've paid for. Corporate office didn't bother to call me back. It's been a very stressful nightmare. read more

My daughter and I were in for a first appointment for 2 HOURS! Appointment was at 5:15pm and she did not get seen until close to 6pm. The lady who I am assuming was the receptionist (short blonde hair) was very unprofessional. She never once apologized for our long wait. I went under from an extraction and when I woke up the dentist wasn't even next to me he was discussing facial scarring with my mother. Apparently one of their sub par tools over heated and burned the inside and outside of my lip and mouth. It had "never happened before" Of course. That is no solace to me having to think of this terrible establishment every single solitary time I walk passed a mirror. They are still expecting me to pay over $2, 200 to be permanently disfigured. They said there was nothing they could do since it already went through the credit company. Which isn't true i'm in the process of filing a dispute. They did offer a whopping 20% off my next visit. I wouldn't let anyone that works there clean my dog's teeth after going through what they put me through. I went to a different dentist who helped with the rest of my dental work and it was flawless. It is amazing what happens when you use quality equipment and pay attention to what you are doing. Avoid this place! It is a scam. They get you in there...take a bunch of xrays, have a hygienist see you who tells you that you have gum disease and will need a special "deep cleaning".The dentist ( at least they said he was a dentist ) sees you for 2 minutes. I was there with an abscessed tooth- in horrible pain. They shuffle you into the "business office " where you are told you need thousands of dollars in work - including the special deep cleaning. I told them I didn't want the deep cleaning because it would cost me a thousand dollars- I wanted the traditional cleaning which my insurance pays 100 percent of the cost. She tells me they wont do any work on me unless I have the deep cleaning. What crap. They just want you to take out a loan from them. I should have known when the new patient paperwork asked how much money you make, if you own or rent, and asks for a personal reference. (I left these spots blank) TO TOP IT ALL OFF, AS i AM SITTING THERE IN TEARS BECAUSE MY TOOTH HURTS SO BAD, THEY GIVE ME A PRESCRIPTION FOR MOTRIN. I had already told them I had been taking motrin and excedrin all weekend, nothing was helping. The dentist "doesn't prescribe anything else" Really?? I have been an RN for 27 yrs. I am not stupid- if doctors and nurses told people that they don't treat pain, they would be reported for negligence. This was the worst dental place ever. read more
