Patients shouldn't have to chase down a company just to get accurate billing. Between the overcharging, lack of transparency, and corporate refusing to take action, I can't recommend this place to anyone. Find a dentist who is honest and responsive. Update: The bill was eventually fixed, and I appreciate that it was corrected in the end. But let's be honest -- it only happened because I escalated it. I was ignored for two weeks until the state dental board contacted them, and then suddenly the overhead office called me that same day. If I hadn't fought it, they were going to stick me with the bill. I also read another review where someone said their balance was written off but still got sent to collections anyway, so I'm hoping that doesn't happen here. I generally do not leave negative feedback but, in this scenario, I feel compelled to warn others…read moreabout the risk of using this provider/office for your dental needs. First, when we scheduled our family appointments Dr. Kipling was booked out 3 months. After we had our appointment 3-months later, we were informed that her office stopped carrying our insurance and we were stuck with the vast majority of the bill. She and her staff failed to tell us this upon checkin and then proceeded with exams and cleaning for three family members. At best, her staff was negligent in running the standard checks when we arrived for our appointment. Their subsequent unwillingness to help sort things out with the insurance was unacceptable. Secondly, she conducted an oral exam on my 2-year old, who was scared and crying. Dr. Kipling looked in her mouth for about 3 seconds and billed my insurance and I the standard child-exam fee. This, I feel, was completely dishonest on her behalf as she had no business charging my insurance and me for this "exam." I've obviously switched dentists and would not recommend using Dr. Kipling or her office.

Well, after my experience, Dr Kim was the only one laughing. 1) They charged me $195 for nitrous oxide. (My regular dentist only charges $90 but so glad I accepted after my experience). After I arrived, despite having Delta, a dental insurance they accept, they still made me pay for the entire bill $589, upfront - and then failed to submit my claim to Delta until I inquired of the status nearly 2 months later. 2) Despite being on Nitrous Oxide, I thought Kim was trying to rip my head from my shoulders as fiercely and as long as he had to yank on my tooth to remove it. He was pulling on it so hard, his tool slipped several times, once really cracking hard against my adjacent tooth. 3) After Kim pulled my tooth I started having pain from the adjacent tooth while brushing. I believe it was damaged when Dr Kim's tool slipped and hit it. I returned later to have it checked. After an xray - of course which I had to pay for upfront - he didn't see any damage so sent me on my way. I only wish the pain was a figment of my imagination. Visit this guy at your own risk. Of course there's a mix of reviews but this is mine. I'm curious to know as well if they require full payment upfront from all their patients w accepted insurance, or if it was just me. Except for Dr Kim, I likely earn more than all of them and always pay my expenses immediately upon coming due. I've come across dentists who require payment upfront but they take care to advertise that well before getting to the office. I would appreciate knowing if anyone else had a similar experience.
