Going of my first post regarding my experience with Aspen Dental in Waterville, Maine, I realized something. I was told they are unable to fix my temporaries because they'd need a mold of my mouth and, because of the recent extractions and surgery, this is not possible. But...they HAVE a SCAN OF MY MOUTH ALREADY. A mold was NEVER DONE to begin with. So why is a mold needed? I DO NOT UNDERSTAND why new ones are not able to be created THAT LOOK and FEEL RIGHT, from this scan, that I can be satisfied with!! This makes absolutely NO SENSE! How were the first ones created? NOT FROM A MOLD! I do not think I'm being unreasonable to ask them to fix their mistake. It's not the discomfort of having dentures and the discomfort this entails, but the look and poorly designed structure for my mouth that I have an issue with. Rather than trying to help me be a satisfied customer, I'm told I'm going through a transition and that things will get better. For the amount of money I paid, I should be satisfied and proud of my new teeth. I should be helped to transition into my new teeth and look. Instead, I am extremely unhappy, miserable, in pain and depressed. I'm not sure what else I can do, but my friends and family agree that they are horribly done, look awful on me and all agree that Aspen should be decent enough to fix this, not try to placate and appease me. They all have been supportive and say they'll do what they can to help me fix this. read more

Everyone at Aspen was kind, professional, and caring about preventing pain, and did so as much as they could! I had an infected tooth pulled, 5 fillings, cleaning, and will be receiving a partial eventually. I was given education about brushing my teeth and rinsing my gums. The Scheduling was easy, and the Financial appt. was good, as well. As a result, I feel more confident about taking care of my teeth. read more

After experiencing their Augusta location, which would rate a negative 5 if such a rating existed, I was apprehensiveabout the organization as a whole. I then traveled much further south to another location, which was great, but quite a journey. After visiting the Waterville location, I'm pleased to say they are pleasant, and professional and I'll continue to give both my business and my recommendation. read more

Terrible people to talk to.. Called to find out information and they tried to pump me with questions, instead of just answering my questions. Stopped in to the local office to get a price quote and they would not give me one without paying them $30 for an exam that I don't need.. All I wanted was a price.. The also wanted to know if I had insurance, I ask if they had 2 different prices, they would not answer that.. Either the cash payer or the insurance is going to get overcharged guaranteed.. I arrived needing two crown preps and a filling. I have a very bad anxiety disorder, so I was extremely nervous. I didn't mention my anxiety but even without knowing, everyone there was great, friendly and professional. Dr. Francis had the best "bedside manner" of any of the dentists that I've had (many different states over the years). She was calm and reassuring and everything done in a timely manner. I'm actually not dreading going back for the rest of the work. read more

Honestly this location is horrible. In 2024 I arrived to remove my bottom two wisdom teeth and get put under for it. I called the day before to confirm because if it wasn't those ones i wouldn't want to be put under. I get to the office and there is one person upfront and she tells me that everyone quit on her. I gave her my works insurance because I made sure this doctor fell under the plan. I get into the surgery and wake up with my top right wisdom teeth removed. And my left one I got removed a couple weeks prior that was looking good was now bleeding too. I quit my job and that's when I found out she never billed my insurance cause now it was to late cause of the timing of me quitting and my plan ran out. I am still paying it off in 2026 because I had to sign up for care credit. Should've went back to the other place that removed my left one. Payed that one off pretty quickly. There was no resolution and there was no responsibility taken. read more

Since Waterville Aspen Dental has changed its staff its service has gone downhill. I've spent thousands of dollars there and they don't even have the courtesy to remember your name and you're speaking to you. I have never seen such a change in the business. read more

I would give a zero if I could. I am new patient. I made the appointment online, filled out the paperwork, got a text confirming the appointment, had a call confirming the appointment, and another text confirmation too. When I showed up for the appointment they told me that I hadn't confirmed and that they gave it away. I got an apology from the receptionist and an explanation of "that's never happened before". There's an hour of my life I won't get back and I need to find another dentist. Good luck. read more

My appointment was scheduled for 8am on Friday at the Waterville, ME location and I was told to arrive 15 minutes early when I booked my appt. and in a follow-up call. I arrived early (7:30am) and waited in my car until 7:45am, but when I went to go in the door was locked. I stood at the door in the rain and knocked to get the receptionists attention. She stood up walked towards me and looked at the front desk computer and never made eye contact with me, then walked away. As I was walking to my car, I saw the same receptionist speaking with a woman in an office, I motioned for her to let me in, and she motioned "no". Confused, I went back to my car and called Aspen and spoke to a person at the Bangor office who was extremely kind, and after hearing my stressful story she apologized and offered to rebook my appointment. I did rebook my appoint at the Bangor location because of her professionalism and kindness. In my opinion people either are kind or they are not and no matter how you coach or train, this trait or lack of holds fast. Without kindness there is no good customer service. Without kindness professionalism is only a façade. As for the receptionist or any of the employees that witnessed this event (I saw 3 others watching from the office), I will not give my business to your employer (Aspen Dental are independently owned and operated by licensed dentists), and I hope this review reaches many so they can take their business where they can be treated kindly. read more

I use aspen dental for work on my teeth. I get my teeth cleaned by a different office only does cleanings. My crown popped off saturday while flossing just wanted to get put back on. Could not get me in till july. I called a local dentist took me in first thing monday morning took less than 30 minutes. Aspen dental just lost our business for the second time. Anything to make you smile is a crock. My son prepaid for oral surgery that he was supposed to have this morning in Waterville Maine. He got there, they told him that dentist isn't here. We'll do that today with another dentist for 900 more dollars. This sounds like a total rip-off. And you're about to be exposed all over social media, this is unfair practice. read more

My first visit they tried to get me financed for implants. When I couldn't get approved for enough money they talked me into excepting an offer for a lesser amount credit card through CareCredit. I was told just having the card would help build credit. I got my first statement only to find that Aspen dental charged the account without my permission. I called and asked them why and they said it was standard practice to charge for half up front. I explained I had full dental coverage with no copay. They stated their system was down so I had to call CareCredit. CareCredit opened a fraud investigation. I got my insurance statement showing where they covered the full bill. Then today, over a month later after getting reminder calls for appointments I cancelled that CareCredit expects me to pay even though the insurance paid because I "benefited" Aspen Dental claims they can't help because they are still having issues with their system. Biggest scam artists I have ever dealt with. read more

This is a heads up for those with Anthem Mainecare. The local Aspen dental office is excellent. Good people and great service. The problem is with the national Aspen Dental billing system. They say they accept the plan but have it all wrong in the computers, so they refuse to bill your benefits. I called Anthem about this, and their dental claim department asked me to have them call them and that this could be easily resolved. When I asked the local Aspen office manager about that, she flatly refused to make that call. She said it was set by a national system, and that was that. Tough darts farmer. All I could do was cancel my upcoming appointment and moved to another local dentist. Before you work with Aspen, be very extremely specific about checking your coverage, because they'll only bill what some twenty-something latte-sucking hacker yutz will allow. Jessica Hindes has no bussiness calling herself a doctor. After suffering with excruciating pain over the weekend I went into Aspen Dental in Waterville. A couple of xrays were taken, the alleged doctor NEVER looked in my mouth. She explained that Aspen Dental does not have dentists with the skills necessary to do a root canal. All she wanted to do for the 149 dollar 10 minute visit is give me a referral to a competent dentist. With some pleading on my part she gave me a prescription for antibiotics, but nothing for pain. I waited time and money and am facing a a couple more nights of suffering before the antibiotics start to work. Just a horribly inhumane way to treat people. *uck Aspen Dental and all the scumbag who work there. read more

I recently had my first appointment with Aspen Dental. I had read reviews and heard from some people about issues they had had. I'm happy to say, I had none! I was a couple minutes late, they took me anyway. I had printed and filled out my paperwork. I verified with the receptionist that this appointment was free. Not "free" with strings attached. Just FREE. There were many x-rays taken, more than I'd ever had at one time before. The hygienist began my exam, saying she would be calling out numbers that the other tech would record. If the numbers reached 5, there would have to be a special treatment plan. There were no numbers 5 or higher. The dentist reviewed my x-rays and examined my mouth. I have a lot of metal fillings that are over 20 years old. Everything was good! I needed no repairs, no new work, just a cleaning. The last time I went to my previous dentist, there was a long laundry list of work that "needed" to be done, which I am still putting off. No pain, no problem, right? This dentist had no laundry list, not even a suggestion of anything. At checkout, I was given a list of what was done at this appointment, and what would be done at the cleaning, as well as the cost. There was a "flouride treatment" that I asked to opt out of. No problem. My cleaning was scheduled for the next day, and I know the cost, $91. I am very pleased with this office, the personnel, the pricing and the ease of getting an appointment. FYI: age-over 60, and it's been over 2 years since my last dental appointment. read more

I was here for the summer and my front tooth veneer fell off. Maybe not an "emergency" but a definite emergency to me. After 3 local dentist offices refused to give me an appointment, I walked into Aspen where a big sign said "walk-ins welcome". In short order, an excellent dentist diagnosed my problem, fixed it and replaced my veneer! I am very grateful. read more

The first x-rays might be free, but oh the contorting they'll do to coerce you into getting additional ones on subsequent visits! I lost hundreds of dollars on procedures that, by their own admission at check-out, were completely unnecessary. Know your rights and question everything when they try to up-sell you. I give them one star, only because there is not a way to give them negative stars. This is by far the very worst 'health care provider' I have ever gone to, and I use the term 'health care provider' very loosely. If they care even a little bit about anything but profit they have a funny way of showing it. The office manager is utterly without compassion, consideration, and basic human politeness. They screwed up my treatment plan, then when they discovered that they had screwed up, decided to punish me for it by telling me I had to pay the $2700 they had 'discovered' right then or forgo my surgery that I had been waiting months for another 30 days and that I was standing at the counter waiting for, rather than accepting responsibility for their mistake and billing me for the extra funds that they had left off. Then, when I expressed dissatisfaction with having to wait another 30 days because of their incompetence, they decided they didn't feel comfortable working with me any more and chose not to finish the job they had agreed to do. As such, their utter and base incompetence cost me several thousand extra dollars. They are by far the worst healthcare provider I am aware of, and much more deserving of a malpractice suit than ANYONE'S business. read more
