These people only want your money, your hard-earned money and ALL of your hard earned money. Three times I had to tell them NOT to do or sell me anything that is not covered by my insurance.. Three times they did it anyway! $40.00 for a small bottle of mouthwash! $30.00 for a small bottle of toothpaste, $260.00 for what was supposed to be a routine cleaning covered by my insurance..!! There is one star only because i couldn't post no stars and post my review. I am currently in the process of implants and were given a "healing denture" set to use while my mouth heals. The dentures do not fit and are of absolutely no use. They protrude from my mouth and don't even look anything like my natural teeth. They look like costume teeth. So I have been one month with no teeth, no dentures that are wearable, and concerns about going forward with implants concerned that if they can't make dentures usable how will I get implants that fit and are done right. I have made no progress in getting my concerns addressed and am unable to eat or talk and no teeth. The Yakima office has been unresponsive and seem uninterested in working through my issues. Nw they have thousands of dollars for implant treatment and I am unable to seek services elsewhere. Do not trust your implant process to them. If things change I will update my review. Went there for an emergency dental appt. Knew I had a broken filling. Spent 2.5 hours in there having them take a ton of x-rays and loking around for initial look at cleaning. Then the sales pitch. Hygiene and then fix damaged issues. 2 different appointments for 2 different days. I don't think they know what an emergency appointment was. Was told hygiene first then make an appointment, so I walked. Got into Chalet same day. Took x-rays and found my tooth was split in half. They started my needed root canal right away. Don't go to aspen they just want your money for their fancy cleaning that is not covered enough by insurance. read more

I am new to town so I was looking for a new dental office. I have good teeth so I'm only used to seeing a hygienist for cleaning. But I wasn't able to find a dentist in town who would schedule me without forcing me to see the dentist, until I found Aspen. They said that since I didn't have insurance they would do all of my x-rays for free and give me a free dental exam for no charge if I paid for all of the other services. I was originally quoted $159 for the hygiene appointment. But after my initial appointment, when I got all the x-rays and my exam, they tried to charge me more than $300 for my hygiene appointment. They added on an expensive electric toothbrush and other items that I had not asked for. They adjusted the price when I refused the add ones though. I also really like the dentist very much. He talked to me for a long time about dental and told me information that I never knew. When I finally got to my hygiene appointment to weeks later I was call back to the hygienist 1/2 hour late. Then the person who polished my teeth was a dental assistant. She was obviously very inexperienced because she jammed the suction down my throat so far I nearly gagged. She also kept slipping off my teeth and hitting my gums and other teeth with the polishing took--It was a very uncomfortable experience. When the hygienist came in to the room I was actually really pleased with her performance, so that part of my was very good. Over all there was some very good and very poor qualities about Aspen Dental. I recommend that 1) they never add to the base quote without asking the client's consent. A less assertive person would have sucked it and and been taken advantage of. 2) never send an inexperienced person to do the hygienist's job just because the hygienist is running behind. read more

My very first visit here, it just felt like no one cared. and talk about an overload of X-Ray's, I mean, Jesus Christ, how many X-Ray's do you need?!? Completely excessive and dangerous! All of the doctor's were extremely dismissive, and didn't seem to care about anything I said or asked. I went in, specifically in regards to one tooth, and I was told that there was nothing wrong with that tooth, and that it was all in my head, and to go see an ENT(Ear, Nose, And Throat Doctor). Then, immediately, I was taken back to their office managers office, and it was basically all about the money, and signing me up for the In House Financing, and then when I didn't agree with their prices, she basically played a game of, let's make a deal. It was SO uncomfortable. Then about 4 months later, I go back in, they have no idea if my insurance was active. Then, that same tooth I went in where I was told that it was all in my head, well suddenly and instantly a different doctor then the one I had seen at my first visit goes, oh yeah, that tooth needs to come out. I argued with him that I wanted to do a crown to save the tooth, but he said the tooth would last no longer than 5 year's, and that at $2000.00 dollar's, that wasn't a good investment, and so I paid $18.00 to have the tooth pulled. While having the tooth pulled, I swear the doctor used like 10 different tools, and seemed like he became very frustrated because he couldn't get the tooth out, so he a very kept trying different tools, and who knows if they were actually sterilized even. And I could literally hear the tooth breaking from the inside. I told him that I have a very deep phobia of dentists, and that my last tooth extraction was extremely painful, and him using all of those tools, hearing my tooth breaking, and him becoming frustrated, I was seriously scared for my life. The doctor also seemed very arrogant, as does everybody who works there. When I was shown the tooth afterwards, it honestly did not look decayed at all, so I was pretty pissed off, that I may have been lied to, and had a tooth pulled for no good reason. I'm also a CPAP patient, and nobody there could seem to tell me if I could or could not use my CPAP machine, or when. If I didn't know any better, I could have pretty much instantly gotten dry socket which can be extremely painful. You cannot use your CPAP machine after a tooth extraction, for at least a week and half to 2 weeks, depending on the tooth and age, and how fast you heal. They don't care about the patients at all. It's all about the money there. I have told everybody that I know, not to go to Aspen Dental. Stay away, I'd give negative 5 stars if I could! read more

I had opted to have 3 teeth extracted with the plans to get implants after suffering from an accident & I unfortunately was scheduled with a very young assumably inexperienced dentist that totally botched my mouth! She broke one of my teeth when trying to pull the tooth I needed extracted. She then left bits of bone in my gums that slowly came to the surface over a months time that I had to dig out of my gums. When I returned to the clinic later in the day of my appt to inquire about the bits of what I thought was the root of my tooth, but was bits and shards of bone from the casing, & to ask about the front tooth that she broke but of course didn't mention to me, I had to find out once I got home and inspected my mouth! I was treated like I was nothing more than an inconvenience for her and after paying over a couple grand in cash, I was BEYOND disappointed, and will never return or recommend! Horrible care & careless staff! The business manager sure knows how to talk, however, the dental care was lacking any quality to be charged so much. My daughter has been seeing these guys since Nov 2021. She need alot of work done. Some of the people seem really good at there job but it is when you have to call them and need them to get back to you that there is a problem. I have been calling the on call dentist for the last 4h, she has a tooth ache and needs antibiotics. We are still waiting for the on call dentist to call us. If they don't call soon i'll have to call back for the 6th time. I get that its Friday night but they have on-call dentists for a reason. read more

We have been patients for many years back when we started & when Dr Choi came in he did a great job and was really caring & remembered us when we had appointments. Now he was transferred & we have Dr Lindley. She's polite but other then that have had nothing but problems. The first visit I had with her I didn't even know she was the dentist she never Introduced herself. Then they proceeded almost to prep the wrong tooth! I had to raise my hand and say that isn't the right tooth! They kind of argued with me but I was not backing down & finally they did the right tooth. They did the same thing with my oldest daughter. When my son had an abscess tooth I called the emergency line 3 times one Sunday & never got a call back! He just had a crown placement 5 days ago & has been in a ton of pain for 4 days, I have called everyday & left voicemails cause no one answers the phone.... And I left 4 voicemails & called the emergency line again. And not one phone Call back. I am not having a good experience with Aspen dental. read more

The place operates like a cluster F..., No one answers the phone or returns emails. Seems everyone is on some sort of bonus/commission pay scale. Numberous atempts to get me to involved in a 3rd party finacing for the services. Had a hard time getting cash pricing for the services that they said I needed. Called the 800# (Kentucky) and was told I was to receive a letter from the dentist that I was no longer going to be accepted as their patient. Then I called the local district manager who never bothered to return my call. Then I called the office and was told there was some internal confusion etc. and was emailed a full price for the services. I called back and asked about my cash discount which was finally sent to me. This took more than a week to sort out. I do not recommend this place to anyone. If i could give 0 stars to this place i would, the only reason they even got a 1 star from me is because their dental hygienist is literally amazing and only person there that seems to really care about her patients. I started off there tonget a exam done because of a infection i had. After 2 weeks with the infection still not gone i went back for another exam which they told me to come in as a walk in, once i got there the man at the front desk argued with me and basically told me he refuses to let me get a exam and that they won't do anything for me besides extract the tooth, i was forced to go to urgent care because of the infection where they were able to take care of me with no issue. After a couple days i had called them to send my referral which they did, it took my new dentist office calling 2 times just to get it. I do not recommend this place at all, i will drive 2 and half hours just to avoid this dentist office. read more

Aspen dental is absolutely amazing. I had no idea any dentist place would offer a payment plan and being a young working college student I've been unable to secure insurance or the proper finances to cover the dental work I needed done. Aspen dental has a 3rd party loaner that approved me for a couple grand worth of dental work for low payments of $100 a month. I was able to get the work done I've desperately needed and the best part is how kind and caring the staff is. They helped make the experience less nerve racking and I'm super glad a friend recommended them to me. Work I've needed done for years they handled in two days! The absolute worst dental experience i do not recommend The YAKIMA ASPEN Dental office! if you are only going for a cleaning the hygienist will be by far the best part of the Aspen experience. The receptionist was also very friendly. That is where "care about their patients" stops. I scheduled two appointments to have some old fillings replaced. The dentist and assistant never said a word to me before or during the procedure . They did not introduce them self or call me by my name. They did not go over what was being done, they did not ask if I was numb, if I had any pain, if the color of the filling was ok, during procedure I had water running down both sides of my neck. When it was over the dentist left immediately with out a word his assistant was busy making my next appointment. I had to ask for a mirror so I could see what was done, then ask what color they used, then I had to remove my little bib before they pushed me out for payment. I canceled my next appointment and will never return. The current dentist at the Yakima office was by far the rudest, none careing dentist I ever experienced he was there to just get through his day not for the love of his job or for the care of his patients. I went to Aspen dental, I had several cracked teeth from a car wreck, and I wanted Implants or Bridges, I told them under No Circumstances would I put Anything but water in a Glass by my bed! They said "No Problem" lets clean Your teeth, Xray them and get started! I scheduled the cleaning, and the Woman that came in to clean my teeth was Bigger than me and Scary, I'm 6'2, 240 and she was rocking my head back and forth with a pick and loosened the only 2 fillings I had, and my gums bled from her slipping and gouging them, I said had on the fillings as the fell out within 2 months, I came back in for the follow up and for what I thought were going to be Implants and they started to measure me for DENTURES?? I said Waaait a minute, I requested implants and she said" We would have to refer You as we Don't do Implants, " But! For 2800.00 Dollars You can have dentures that You have to "Glue In" and soak in a Glass every night... I paid almost 300.00 for them to break loose my fillings, create work for themselves, and cause me Incredible Pain... Don't Do It!! Beeee Careful, Your Mouth is Precious! By far the worst dental experiences I've ever had. The receptionist was rude and dismissive. They scheduled one appointment for my x-rays alone, and then had me come back for my cleaning. The dental hygienist was extremely rude and at times offensive. I have always had sensitive gums, and the cleaning was extremely painful, an experience I've never had before. I have always enjoyed going to the dentist, but the entire time I felt that they were doing whatever possible to get more money. Aspen told me that I had two cavities, which they wanted me to schedule two additional appointments for each filling. I had no pain in my teeth, and have never had a cavity before, so I was a little suspicious about it. I went to a different dentist in town, had an amazing experience, and found out I did not have any cavities at all. read more

The dentist was very good in explaining everything that she was doing and the numbing shot didn't even hurt. The real treat was the deep cleaning I received from Lillemor. Aspen Dental in Yakima is the worst dental office that I have ever gone to. I made the bad mistake of trying Aspen Dental after my previous dentist was dropped from my insurance network. At my first appointment they took x-rays and the dentist examined my teeth. He said I needed several teeth pulled and some cavities filled. I made an appointment to get my teeth cleaned, When I arrived for the appointment, they examined my teeth again, but said that they could not clean them that day so they appointment was a total waste. At my 3rd appointment I finally got my teeth "cleaned". It was not a real cleaning because they did not scrape any plaque off. The bill called it pario maintenance. At my next cleaning appointment, they also did not scrape any plaque off. Insurance refused to pay for the pario maintenance because it is not a legitimate dental procedure unless a real cleaning was done in previous months. More than a year after my second "cleaning", Aspen Dental management made a deliberate decision to bill me for the part of the "cleaning" charge that my insurance did not pay. Needless to say I refused to pay it and after a lengthy discussion, they waived the charge. After I lost my insurance, I had my teeth cleaned (plaque scraped off) for $1200. Bottom line is: When I had insurance, Aspen Dental did not clean my teeth as I requested. They did a pario maintenance for a charge of $123 which insurance did not cover the second time. After I lost insurance, they finally did a real cleaning for $1200 which I had to pay out of my pocket. Terrible service. read more
