Some of the bottles shattered, leaving broken glass. When asked to pick up his trash he put his earphones in and walked away, ignoring the situation. The group discussed that this man works at Aspen Wine & Spirits. One witness discussed calling the police. Very disrespectful to our community. It's located right in town just a couple blocks from White House Tavern. The moment we arrived we were greeted by a staff member who offered to help us. I ended up picking out two bottles of Burgundy that the staff recommended. Prices seemed slightly higher than what I am used to back in LA, but that is probably to be expected considering these wines made it all the way to Aspen. I was impressed with the selection and would definitely come back if I need wine in Aspen!

The quality did not justify the prices, the flavors were forgettable, and nothing we ordered stood out. Unfortunately, what happened afterward was far worse. My wife accidentally left behind a shopping bag containing a brand new pair of sunglasses she had purchased earlier that day. When she returned to retrieve them, our interaction with a server named Carson was deeply disappointing. Instead of simply confirming ownership in a courteous and professional manner, Carson repeatedly questioned whether the sunglasses were actually hers. He kept emphasizing that they were brand new and worth around $600, making it clear that he found it difficult to believe they belonged to her. It was impossible not to feel that she was being judged based solely on her appearance. There is absolutely nothing wrong with verifying ownership of a valuable item. In fact, we appreciate businesses that take lost property seriously. What is unacceptable is allowing assumptions and stereotypes to influence how customers are treated. One lesson worth remembering is that genuine elegance and long established wealth rarely need to announce themselves. Those who have had the privilege of success across generations often feel no need to advertise it with designer logos or outward displays. True class is reflected in education, humility, confidence, and, above all, in the way people treat others. Ironically, Carson's assumptions said far more about his own judgment than they did about my wife. No customer should ever be made to feel that they need to "look wealthy" in order to be treated with respect. We hope management addresses this issue seriously. The mediocre food was forgettable. Being judged and treated with prejudice is not. Every guest deserves to be treated with courtesy, professionalism, and dignity, regardless of how they are dressed or what assumptions someone chooses to make about them.

First off, we were met with a cold waitress. It seemed like it was such a chore to take our orders. I asked for a side of ranch for our pizza and she came back with the tiniest sauce container with less than a tablespoon of ranch in it, which I originally thought was fine because I could just ask for more, which I did end up doing. Then, every time my boyfriend's soda was low she would take it and refill it, not specifying that it would cost us for a refill. Then we get our check and I see 2 charges for ranch $2 each and 2 charges for soda $6 each. She never specified that the ranch nor the soda refills would be extra especially since the ranch portion was smaller than a shot glass. Some places charge for ranch which is fine, but they give you enough ranch to justify a charge. Then on top of that there was a 22% gratuity fee already added because we were a group larger than 6. AND on top of that there was a 5% employee wellness fee. Both explain why the waitress didn't need to care about doing a good job because she was already guaranteed a 27% tip. Keep in mind this was all noticed after we got the receipt emailed and had already paid because on the software they use for paying, it didn't show us an itemized receipt. And of course, we could have waived the employee wellness fee but we didn't know that it existed or that we could've waived it until after we paid. Just pay your employees more or up the prices of your menu items to include the "wellness" fee.

I came with my flight crew (just a couple of pilots in addition) and we just sat at the bar. I had the kale rotisserie chicken salad. The peanut dressing does have soy sauce so it is not gluten free, so they brought me a champagne vinaigrette instead. It was delicious. I got this during the cyclospora outbreak, because I'm a wild person now lol but they assured me they only get quality ingredients and super clean all veggies and fruit coming in.
