They had a welcoming reception for approximately 75 guests with a catered beer wine menu. Friday was a catered rehearsal dinner. We were told we could not access property until 3:30 Wednesday. Ice truck was showing up at 12:00 so someone being me had to meet them to show Them where to put it. The owner Mike is his name came and meet us and showed where to put the ice. I wanted a feel for the property as I was the caterer. We were there a hour and left. Within minutes of leaving my partner in catering received a phone call from Mikes wife bitching that we accessed the property before 3:30. Husband Mike never mentioned it and was helpful. We used the kitchen for assembly only. All cooking was done on my Blackstone out doors. The brides parents put down a $2,500 deposit. They were informed they were getting docked $500 from over use of the property...lol, not damage, not from lack of not cleaning up etc. Pam had excuse after excuse of why they were keeping $500.00..Overuse of the property was her final answer, the brides family had paid dearly to use...I'm guessing the owners Mike and Pam need to figure shit out.. Greed is my final answer. Sad...will never recommend this venue again... we did recommend it to this family..I feel horrible for doing so...

We had a "Happily Ever After" event for 50 at our home on October 4th. It was held outside…read morehowever, due to covid. And I am so pleased with how easy everything was that we rented for our event! Based on their excellent website, I had a good idea of what we would need...a soundsystem for our music, a cordless microphone because it's hard to hear outside, a raised square platform for two people to stand on, a bouncehouse for the kiddos (bonus they had a castle shaped one for our Happily Ever After theme!), a dozen wooden benches to put on the riverside deck for seating, and chalkboard arrow signs showing the way. It only took 10 minutes in person, plus a deposit to get it all reserved. They called closer to my event to remind & assure that all was on schedule. They arrived with their professional truck 2 days before my event and delivered it all, showing me how everything worked. The written instructions for the boucehouse were helpful and it was easy-peezy to put it up (it also came with it's own tarp, stakes, and large cushiony cube to enter it easily). The helpful delivery guys gave me a quick tutorial on the soundsystem...that also was easy-peezy come showtime. (We just made a pandora playlist and played it through a cellphone, another person made a Spotify list and that was used after) The written instructions in the cordless microphone case made that process just as seamless (people could hear us just fine, even being able to speak over the music--hello karaoke later!) The benches were lovely to use during the ceremony, then transitioned easily to our eating tables, and then later around the firepit. All the rental prices were extremely reasonable and it just couldn't have been any easier. All we had to do was make sure the bouncehouse stayed dry! After our event, we left everything stacked safely in our driveway right next to the house, and they came and picked it up while we were at the airport seeing family off. Talk about convenient! If I ever have need to rent anything again, they're going to be my first call. Their website is extremely handy to see what they have! I'm still on cloud 9 from my visit so I think now is the perfect time to write this review. We…read moreopted to go for the adult only retreat as our youngest child (the only one left) had no desire to go and if we weren't taking our kid we certainly didn't want to deal with anyone else's. Going into this trip I didn't know much, other than they had horses and that was what I wanted to do - ride horses. We arrived really early in the morning and was picked up at the airport, which was the size of a postage stamp. It was really easy to find our person, who grabbed our bags and loaded them into the trailer while we sat in the van. Met some others that were on the trip on the way to the lodge. Upon arrival they had a tent setup in the front where they greeted us, gave us a bag with a map of the property and list of that week's activities, told us our rooms weren't ready yet but they would find us when they were. Now - I'm going to note that they said they would find us when our room was ready and I didn't think they really would. We continued to check in to see when the room would be ready, but then later I saw them literally hunting someone down to give her keys - so they will indeed find you. When we checked in the room was a standard lodge room, we had a fridge but our friends didn't, in mentioning this in passing to the staff they brought them a fridge. Talk about service! We spent the next four days riding horses mostly, but also enjoying the company of the other guests and hearing stories from the staff. While we were really heavy on the horse rides we also enjoyed taking a tour of the elk preserve and clay sporting. We got a ride up to the yoga spot for a view (weren't too keen on hiking up there) and spent a good amount of time in the bar with fellow guests chatting up the staff. Everyone was amazing and so accommodating- I had said it was a bucket list trip but the staff at the Averill ranch has me seriously considering returning next year. Thank you for the memories.

The brides room was well apportioned and comfortable (as F.O.B. I wasn't in it much). So thankful that we found this place...made for a lifetime of beautiful memories! We had about 140 guests and they fit very nicely inside...didn't feel too crowded. This is a great place to tie the knot! As the guy who paid for the whole shindig, I felt I got my money's worth and then some!

The rooms are a combination of hotel rooms and VRBO's. Most of the units are owned and then rented out through the resort. There is a pool, hot tub, tiki bar, docks, water views. Its close to boat rentals, restaurants and bars in down town Bigfork. Walking distance for those that like to walk. I'm a local and I appreciate that the restaurant stays open all year. The grounds are kept up nicely.

I was micro-managed from 5 minutes before, to the second we left. I was only allowed 15 minutes for party set up, and decorations. I wasn't allowed ANY earlier. I am a bit of a control freak, and if I had asked for help, I would understand. However, I did not and my experience as the parent/adult was terrible. Great facility for play.
