I was told I was too close to being on Medicare (due to my age) and could not be seen. Please note I have insurance through my employer and plan on continuing to work and keep my coverage- which has nothing to do with Medicare. I was extremely embarrassed and was made to feel discriminated due to my age. I would give them ZERO stars if that was an option.

Living in a…read moresmall town with medical professionals who don't think outside the box is difficult, which is why the majority of people in this town go out of town for appointments. My wife is pregnant and I want to be able to breastfeed the baby as well. We knew this was a possibility but didn't know where to start. Therefore, we connected with the lactation nurse at the hospital, who is amazing. She has spent a ton of her time figuring out how we can be able to do that. The process requires me to talk birth control, which has to be prescribed by a doctor. My doctor was Simon, so I made an appointment making it very clear this was time sensitive. The nurse sent Simon all the information about lactation for non-pregnant mothers. He refused the information from her because (his words) 1. She is not a doctor and 2. He doesn't do that stuff. He made me wait two weeks for my appointment to tell me he reuses to help my wife and I because he doesn't do that sort of stuff. He kept saying he wasn't an expert in that topic. I am really unsure of what he is an "expert" at to be honest. I made the comment that no one in Elko is an expert at this, but can't we all come together and figure it out? Nursing a baby is a natural thing, not a life or death situation. He continued to waste my time, pretending to "read up" on it when in reality he wasn't going to help me. His response of "I don't do that" was really "I don't help gay couples in trying to both feed their baby." I was so upset that he chose to waste my time in this situation when I made it VERY clear it was a time sensitive situation and to let me know beforehand if he would refuse me. (I felt he would because of how he has treated others I know, telling them they can't do certain things because they aren't married.) They assured me it would be no big deal. The second he walked through the door he started backpedaling and refusing to help me in any way. When my wife went in the next day to discuss the awful appointment, the employees all tried to pretend it was about something else. Lying to get out of being called out on how disgraceful that office is? Not ok! I am disgusted that someone with such power to help people, refuses to do so because of their sexual orientation. I am furious that he chose to waste my time and try to come between me feeding my child. I am ashamed to have doctors like Simon in this community. This is why we go out of town. This is why people don't feel safe. How can this bigotry be overlooked? Simon is a disgusting "doctor" and helping people is NOT his priority.

My boyfriend and i were traveling from Eagle Colorado to Seattle WA. Prior to leaving on our toad…read moretrip, my bf picked me up out of excitement for our first road trip together. In doing so he felt a sudden pop in his back. For the next 8 hours from Eagle CO to Elko NV he was experiencing excruciating back pain. By the time we got to Elko he asked me to find a chiropractor. I googled local Chiropractors and Sherwood Chiropractic was the second one on the list that i called. It was 4pm on a Monday and most the local Chiropractors closed at 5pm. The first one was not able to get him in. When i called Sherwood and told them about my BFs situation they said come on in. We arrived at 4:30, filled out paperwork and went back to see Doctor Sherwood who quickly assessed my BF and knew what was wrong with him. He had three dislocated ribs. Doctor Sherwood adjusted him three times, with three different positions and he got all three back into place. He then gave him ultrasound therapy, electric pulse therapy, then a cold ice massage to reduce swellings from the process. By this time it was 5:30. He and His staff not only took excellent care of him, they stayed late to do so, knowing full well we would likely not be a returning client since we were literally traveling through town. The next morning my bf was only a little sore from the adjusted but otherwise felt great again! We are extremely grateful for the care, skill and attention Dr. Sherwood and his staff provided to him. On May 14th,2026 I texted with Cheyenne , asking her to send them to me. She sent the release form, I filled out and sent back May 21st, she said they would arrive early in the week of May 25th via usps. Being a short week i gave them the benefit of a doubt to get them to me by Friday . I go to the mailbox, and nothing from Elko Spine and Rehabilitation. Cheyenne. If your going to tell someone something. You better follow up up I texted you Friday afternoon. And you ghosted my text.
