They carefully had to reset all the paver bluestone slabs and then reset the steps leading up to the entrance gate. After setting everything in place they used this special grouting material that hardened like concrete and almost matches the bluestone. The job came out so beautiful that we now have to do the other much larger entranceway by demand of the unit owners who are saying how it looks ugly compared to the newly restored area. Like I said earlier they have done a lot of work for us and never a problem. Their work is always done on time if not before the given time. After I contacted them, they apologized and blamed equipment issues, then rescheduled. Unfortunately, they missed the second appointment as well--again without a phone call or any advance notice. Four days later, they reached out with another apology and scheduled a third appointment. Instead of honoring the original contract, they sent me a text saying the job would now cost an additional $2,000, claiming they needed more material. This made no sense because they had already visited my property to take measurements and prepare the original estimate. If additional materials were required, that should have been identified before providing a contract price and scheduling the work. The repeated no-shows, lack of communication, and last-minute price increase demonstrated a complete lack of professionalism. I cannot recommend this company and would strongly advise others to look elsewhere.

The wall started to lean slightly within 5 years as it was not built with drainage in mind. This time around, I wanted the retaining wall build the right way. I called Charles and Son Construction & Landscaping to get an estimate because I prefer someone local and was pleased with their online reviews. Carlos arrived as scheduled to write up the estimate. He immediately suggested re-using the blocks since they seemed to be in decent condition and would save money. I met with another company the day prior and was originally planning on getting a 3rd estimate. After getting Carlos' very reasonable estimate and asking a few question regarding timeline, I approved the estimate and was ready to move forward. Just 3 days later, the work started and was finished just 4 days later with a Sunday and a rainy Monday that was a wash out. I was so pleased since this has been on my todo list for the last several years and relieved to have it done correctly. My neighbor was also pleased to get part of his yard back.
