I actually showed up an hour later than my scheduled appointment because I had the wrong time in my head, but they were still able to fit me in, which I really appreciated! One thing I would suggest is including the antihistamine instructions in the appointment confirmation text. I was told a few weeks beforehand that I couldn't take antihistamines for five days before testing, but by the time my appointment came around, I had completely forgotten. Since they already send text reminders, I think that would be a really helpful reminder for patients with busy schedules. I was able to get environmental allergy testing done later that week and ask all my questions with both the nurse and doctor. The doctor has a bit of an eccentric personality and sense of humor, which I personally didn't mind. Overall, everyone was kind, and I appreciated how accommodating they were!

I recently saw Dr Shea for allergies. I had nasal stuffiness and sneezing, and for six months I had…read morenot been able to wear my CPAP because of congestion. Dr Shea uses a desensitization protocol using drops placed under the tongue three times a day (instead of shots). It's called Allertol, and it worked great for me. Soon I was able to wear the CPAP again, my nose was clear, and the sneezing stopped. I stopped the Allertol and all symptoms returned. I am now back on the Allertol, using CPAP through the night and sleeping well. I'm very glad I don't have to go through the expense and inconvenience of allergy shots.
