Evidently, we had found it necessary to cancel our credit card that was paying for our policy automatically and I think it was the better part of a year that we were without homeowners insurance and did not realize it. Well I got homeowners insurance with another company right away and then I contacted Ankeny explaining what had happened and they did not even reply to my email. I am critical of Ankeny because I feel that they should have contacted us as a reasonable business would do which keeps track of its clients. Fortunately, nothing happened to our property during our lapsed insurance, but this could have been a catastrophic situation for us.
