He was adamant that this would save me a bunch of money, which it did not. In fact it increased my tax burden by around six thousand dollars. When he was pressuring me to enroll in this he stated time was of the essence and I just needed to "write a check". I wish my business was doing well enough that I could just write a nearly six thousand dollar check whenever I wanted, but it is not. Besides that anytime I had an accounting question I would get back a minimal response that usually didn't help much. The last stray was when they forgot to file my quarterlies for Q1. I provided them the information they needed 5 days after the quarter ended. Six weeks later I hadn't heard back from them so I called. They rushed them out a short time later, but I anticipate getting a fine from the IRS for the late filing.

I have been using this tax service for many years and have been very happy, until this year. To…read morestart I scheduled my tax appointment two weeks ago, it was an in office face to face appointment. When they sent me a confirmation email they had changed it to a phone appointment. That wasn't what I wanted so I called to fix the problem and I spoke with a call center in Mississippi. The call center rep rescheduled me for another face to face appointment and I was satisfied. I showed up the day of my appointment and was turned away. Receptionist related that there wasn't anyone that could process my taxes and they were booked solid the rest of tax season. Even though I had a scheduled appointment they weren't prepared to help me or find a reasonable solution. I elected to find another tax preparation service. I will not be returning to H&R Block and neither will my family.
