Two weeks later, they returned to apply the finished asphalt. Korpaczewski was the only contractor we met with that uses this two-coat system, and the difference in quality really shows. John and his crew were professional, courteous, efficient, and incredibly clean. They kept everything tidy throughout the project and even washed the street at the end of each day. Their equipment is impressive, too--our neighbors thought the whole street was being replaced! I was looking to stop the erosion. He went above and beyond, increasing our usable space an amazing amount. He selected budget friendly materials with a stunning result. His high standards shine thru in his crew's work ethic and attention to detail. Tony's crew arrived at 7 am on the scheduled start day and worked past 4:30. His crew WORKED. Multiple neighbors commented on how hard-working they were. I marveled as they brushed and leveled EACH block..and there were a lot of blocks. Guys on the crew noticed our uneven railroad tie steps. They were not in our contract, but they guys took it upon themselves to level the steps. They even reused a railroad tie from another part of the property. Perfectionism and going above and beyond seems to be part of the Maineway Landscaping & Excavation culture. Tony estimated the job would take 2 weeks. It was completed in 8 days. We now have a beautifully graded and expanded side and back yard, complete with paver patio and fire circle.

Maineway Landscaping & Excavation in Saco ME made a HUGE mistake when installing our septic tank…read more Our tank was installed BACKWARDS.. the inlet from the house was lower than the outlet pipe to the pump.. filling our house with sewer gas on the occasion the water was above the inlet hole. They took a job they probably should not have taken which ultimately ended in a missed inspection and the City taking responsibility for fixing the issue. When requesting to speak to the owner he had his office manager call me back and instead of owning the mistake they blamed the designer, the city, and me for not having an inspection done before buying our home. They've avoided contact with me in regards to the service they provided. A company should take ownership and accountability for their errors. Even though the city made it right they should have taken accountability for something as serious as installing a septic tank backwards and not kicking the v can down the road. The owner should have the gumption to speak to clients who they've wronged instead of having his office manager and wife blame everyone else in a snarky and condescending tone. I wouldn't hire them for any work if they can't stand behind their services.

I have steps from my garage to the basement that they removed and destroyed. They also ruined the step from my house to the basement by cutting the steps instead of putting the concrete around the step. They cut the steps 2" high. They also buried the lines from my oil tank and heater in concrete. I filed a complaint with the BBB and expect to be reimbursed. The communication was incredibly poor throughout the entire process. I did not know my steps would be cut or that my lines from to the oil tank and heater would be buried in concrete. Nothing about the process was communicated to me until I asked a series of process questions. My questions about the process were treated as a burden. It was never communicated to me that my steps would be cut. It was never communicated to me that my connections would be buried under concrete. It is never communicated to me that my steps up to the garage would be damaged. I regret using Basement Improvements and wish I had chosen a more professional and responsible business. I regret not choosing TC Hafford. I choose Basement Improvements because the cost was lower, but with all the poor workmanship, my cost is higher. Don't make the same mistake I made, choose a professional company to do this work.

Just call this company…read more Words can't even express how excited I am about the wonderful job this company did refinishing my mother's hardwood dining room floor. After 30 years of wear and tear, scuffing, bleach-spilling, piano-scratching, hand-sanding, mopping, etc., we have what looks like a whole new floor. I was extremely cost-conscious, so I got quotes from at least 3 other companies. Sam Floor Sanding gave me the best price, which was $500 less than the highest bid! Amazing. They are efficient, don't leave a mess, and are extremely polite. You'll have to get someone else to move your furniture, but at the affordable price they charge, you'll have extra money to have someone else do it. They gave my Mom's home a whole new look with that new floor. Now, I'll work around their quality to make the rest of the house match it! I'll post the photos once everything dries!

He was extremely communicative and we set up an appointment to get an estimate. He and his team showed up to that appointment on time and were very kind, respectful, and knowledgable. They were able to give me an estimate during the visit itself, and that estimate was spot on (and wayyyy more reasonable than either of the other two contractors we'd worked with). Actually, they finished a day and a half early!!!!!! 4 rooms took them only a day and half to do, and the job they did is a quality job. They even cleaned up afterwards. But best of all, Dung was consistently communicative over text and answered any questions I had really quickly. Also, they SHOWED UP ON TIME. That is so rare. Keep up the great work, Sam Floor! They are barely attached with only 1 self drilling screw. Every single gutter on my house is failing...dripping in back of the gutter, or the whole spout coming off. They came and caulked, but it did not last. Calling or texting to no avail. Do not use this company.
