I had an unusual glitch in my apple computer which turned out to be more than a simple fix. The folks at Astoria's Best were persistent in diagnosing the problem and ultimately resolving it. I shipped my MacBook Air to them from California! Around Christmas my screen went blank and I was able to get in to see them for a diagnosis. Brian told me it was the logic board, and also the battery needed to be replaced. Since I was only in town for the holidays, I thanked him, paid the very reasonable diagnostic charge, and figured I would get it repaired when I got back home. Big mistake. After suffering through two weeks of no laptop, I arrive home in Davis, California to learn that no one has the parts, or it will cost hundreds of dollars more than what I was quoted by Astoria's Best, and that I should just "get a new MacBook." I am so over this disposable tech culture, and if I can save hundreds of dollars repairing my existing hardware I'm going to do that. So I called AB, they happily agreed to fix it if I shipped it up, and they probably got it done faster than the times I was quoted at home. Overall I had a great experience and would happily use their services again for larger repairs that made sense with shipping cost. My laptop came back well packed, clean, and working. All we can say about this business is we went into the store and were totally ignored for ten minutes so we just walked. The two employees were working with one customer each but neither of them welcomed us or said they would be with us shortly. We did ask if sold new computers (all we could see were refurbished ones) and one said yes they did but did not point out in the store where they were located or how we could about purchasing one. read more

Leo is great. Had an issue with my computer i knew what the problem was after googling many posts and that ny wifi card was not compatible with Windows. I called around the local area and everyone I called wanted a large service fee to look at it. I called Leo and he listened to my issue and offered three fixes. He sold me a new wireless wifi card and showed me how to installl it. I only had to pay for the part. When I need any repairs or a new computer its nice to kniow we have an honest knowleable person to turn to. Support your local business read more
