Miss Personality takes your name when you walk in, cuts you off while you're explaining what you need, and then tells you you're number four in line and to have a seat. I couldn't even get a smile or eye contact. Then, she stands at the front door watching videos on her phone while four of us wonder around and wait for 15 minutes as only one guy helps one customer. I asked if there was anyone else available and she said no, she has to take names and can't help anyone. That makes absolutely no sense to me, so I left and drove to the Milwaukee location where two people are happily helping two customers and let me know when I walk in that I'm behind one other person and one of them will be with me as soon as they can. What a train wreck of customer service failures. I walked in to try and have a port-in issue corrected, and was there 3 1/2 hours with no resolution. Ended up spending 12 hours in store or on the phone before I found a resolution. During my time in the store, they talked us into getting new apple watches on a "buy one get one" promotion. My wife's new watch started up perfectly. Mine was DOA out of the box. They refused to give me a different one and tried and tried to get it to power up, which it did. I still did not want this watch, as I knew there was a problem with it. They insisted I take it and told me that I had 30 days, and if things were still a problem, they would exchange it for free. Nothing but problems with it since then. As a teacher/coach, I wasn't able to get in until school was out. When I arrived at the store, they said it was only a 14 day return window, and they couldn't do a thing for me. Even talked to the manager and told him what I was told that day by the employee and the issues. He said he was sorry, but I was out of luck. People are friendly at this location, but customer service ends after you sign up for what they wanted to sell you. Save yourself the issues and go to Best Buy. read more

AT&T Store - Front of building - Mobile Phones Near Me - Lubbock, Texas

I spent an hour and a half in this store yesterday, and when I left I was worse off than when I started. It made me never want to do business with AT&T again. Had I not had good experiences with them before, I would have gone the other way and never looked back. I wanted to get a new iPhone and set up service for my wife and I, converting from another carrier. Frustratingly, I wasn't able to do everything on the website and was getting an error, which is why I went to the store in person. Through no fault of this store or its employees, their options were different than what I could get on att.com, and I was going to lose about $285 when compared to the website deal. While in the store, after I learned of the worse deal I was going to get, I started trying to figure out whether to proceed with checkout from the store or abandon things and do it through the website as I started out doing. I ended up continually incurring sales pressure from the "manager". He tossed out speculations and went through his sales pitch. Neither the manager nor the sales lady helping me seemed to care about me getting a better deal, only that I completed the transaction as soon as possible. When all was said and done, they had ported my wife's number from our old carrier without me being ready to proceed with the transaction. They hadn't showed me the "fine print" and covered the details with me, and since I ended up not doing the deal, I was out $35 at the old carrier to port the number back so my wife could have service again. This took another 30 minutes on the phone with that carrier. All told, I lost 2 hours of my life yesterday, $35, and the gas to drive to the store and back to work. Most people cringe whenever they have to visit a phone carrier because the waits are tedious and the staff is generally not helpful. With my few experiences at this AT&T, they are not the typical store. The staff always seems like they genuinely want to help and the waits are not too bad. Without a doubt the WORST. CUSTOMER. SERVICE experience I have ever had. This is the topper on a six-week ordeal in which I was told AT&T phone service would cost me $50-$100 less than Sprint, changed to AT&T only to be charged $50 MORE than I was at Sprint, talked to literally dozens of AT&T reps over the phone, and finally got changed back to Sprint and needed to return the phone we ordered from AT&T. I called AT&T customer service and they said to just take the phone to an AT&T store and they'd take it. Sounded fishy. Better double check. Called again and was told the same thing. Called this AT&T store itself just to make triple sure, was told to just bring it by and they'll take it out of the car, np. Finally came to the AT&T store and was first told that they only return phones if you bring a return slip. Okay. A second rep comes out ten minutes later and tells me that he 'doesn't know what to tell me' as they never return phones and you have to ship it yourself. So why did that last person tell me I had to have a return slip? Called AT&T customer service and they hung up on me. Okay. Called again and was told that there's no such thing as a return slip and they'll have to email me postage. WHAT!???!? By and large the customer service people have been nice (which I now realize is how they get you), but this experience has literally nearly given me a heart attack. Nobody knows what is going on. They can't explain why that last guy told me the thing he did, even when I just spoke to the last person 10 minutes ago and they work in the same store!!! AT&T has ripped me off, lied to me, driven me around in circles, ripped me off again, lied to me again, and lied to me again. I even finally got ahold of a supervisor on the phone and it was some poor Indian guy that doesn't know what's happening I didn't have the heart to yell at him. Sprint sucks, but nothing is worth this level of hassle. Please, if you're thinking of doing ANYTHING with AT&T, please, please, PLEASE reconsider! These people are at best uninformed and at worst ABSOLUTE MONSTERS. I wouldn't wish the last six weeks of my life on my worst enemy. So help me God I am going to vilify these people in person, in print, and online for the rest of my natural life because that is the only response to this level of ineptitude and ignorance. Came in yesterday and everything went very smoothly. Aaron helped my parents and I, and even though they didn't have the phone mom wanted, we got it ordered. I was waiting to pre-order the iPhone 7. Fast forward to today, pre-order day. (I tried last night, app and website crashed multiple times. If I had a nickel for every time I heard "Sorry you couldn't get it at 2;00am.") Get here and wait my turn, the sweetest lady, Cheryl, helping me. Her 'supervisor', Tammy, then walked up. Discussing trading in of phones. Tammy refused to acknowledge my presence, refused to answer my questions, and pulled the sweet lady aside so she could straighten out the trade in scenario. I'd like to offer Tammy some advice, as a former customer service rep, don't ignore people who ask you a question. It's rude. It's anything but courteous and you come off as an ass. I have used this location on a few occasions. The previous two times I have been there I have been thoroughly disappointed. 2 years ago I pre-ordered an iPhone 4S, the representative was not engaging, and the pre-order took 1.5 months to ship while people were able to walk in and purchase without a pre-order on release day. Today I walk in hoping to renew and asked the lady checking people in if there was any chance they had the new iPhone 5S. Her response was very rude. No "sorry we don't have any in stock" or even "sorry no". She gave me no indication as to when they would be receiving more. She said one word to me "no" in a tone as if I was an idiot for even asking. As if my previous experience with purchasing an iPhone wouldn't have convinced me not to preorder. I usually do anything I can to support storefronts, preferring to give my business to a store whenever possible. I will be conducting my cellphone business online from now on. read more

This place is a joke. The sales woman acted like she had no time for me. I asked for the 8 plus 5 minutes in and she sighed and said, "she would have to start all over. It's not that much bigger." My kids were being obnoxious, so it was stressful and I left with what she gave me. I went back and spoke with the manager a few hours later and told him I wanted the 8 plus and he still made me pay the restocking fee. As a manager, he does NOT take care of his customers. I never leave bad reviews, but this store is a joke. He could've easily waved the fee, but wouldn't. I see why this location has such bad reviews. read more

Today I go into the AT&T store because I needed to reset the 4-digit code. All of this to get assistance over the phone. So I go in and she tells me the wait is at least 30 minutes. So I wait. I even tell her as she's making notes about why I was there. So when my name is called I go speak with the girl helping me. She never asks me if this is for a cell bill or U-verse she just assumes it's for a phone. She then proceeds to tell me that she can't help me without an account number. And that was all no offers for any other help just am "I'm sorry I can't help you". I will be more than happy to ditch our service with AT&T. read more

This is only based on telephone service, or lack thereof. I have tried calling this site before, and I tried multiple times yesterday. No one ever answers the phone. It only rings three times (other company stores ring 6). It's ironic that a phone store won't answer the phone. I wanted to know if they had something in stock for me to buy. DON'T CHOOSE AT&T. I switched over from Verizon and I wish I hadn't. Verizon had better service and was cheaper. AT&T quoted my bill and it is $30 OVER the quoted price PER MONTH. They also promised that they would wave my "Activation Fee" after it appeared on my bill, so when I called to have it removed they told me they cannot do that. Basically, I made a big fat mistake and am stuck in it for 30 months unless I pay my phone off today. They were friendly, but what does that matter when you are cheated out of almost $100 and $30 per month on top of that? Also, the guy that helped me told me that Verizon had better service in Lubbock, but don't worry AT&T was a close second, and when I talked about the price, he just said "We are just a little more expensive than the other guys"Terrible. I love AT&T. I have always had great service with them. I have all their services. Phone and u-verse. I have to say I am not happy with the new next plan or the new phone plans out there. If I upgrade to a new phone on a contract I loose my per line discount on that phone. About 25.00. But if I pay out the phone on the next plan I pay about 30 per month. Unfortunately, there is no choice for no stars. Wireless service is just fine, my problem is with ATT Uverse service. Their service is terrible, they make promises they can't keep, their technicians are rude and unprofessional, and they will never make it right. With Uverse you are a grain of sand on the beach and they treat you like that. They figure that one person doesn't matter, someday, if they continue the crumby service, one will become many. read more
