    Wake Me Up from This Mattress Nightmare--No Refunds!…read more I had a disappointing experience with Metro Mattress in New Hartford, NY. Sales rep Lydia promised a 90-day refund, saying, "you can return it," and noted clearance center purchases weren't refundable (they had my mattress cheaper)--implying a brand new one was refundable. I chose the pricier option for refund assurance. On May 23, 2025, I called for a refund; Lydia delayed me, mentioning a new manager and that we had plenty of time in the 90-day window. On June 2, 2025, my wife and I visited. Manager Zoe said they only offer exchanges with forfeiture. When we explained that's not what Lydia told us, Zoe admitted, "that's why Lydia is no longer here." She then showed us their policy which is in fine print, not on signs or clearly explained. We're out thousands--and instead of sleeping in peace, we're losing sleep over broken promises. Hopefully it will get sorted out.

I slept on it for about 3 weeks and it was very uncomfortable. So I called the store and told them something must be wrong because I can't sleep on it. I was told to take a picture and send it in. I was given an e-mail address to send it to. I did this, but never received an answer. Meanwhile, I put my old mattress (which I also purchases from the same store on 11/25/2015: Model S2471 5/OM and the base and the mattress protecter.) I am still pleased with this mattress. Then I called the store numerous times and here are the answers I got: 1. We don't have an extra person to come and look at it. 2. I was told someone was on his way, but they never showed up. 3. The person was in transit and I was on his list. Again - never showed. Then, three weeks ago I got a call that a person was coming that day. And this time they actually showed up. He took some pictures and then left. Finally, I received a letter from the company. It basically said: "Sorry, you don't qualify." For 8 months I've had the mattress standing up against the wall while I slept comfortably on my older mattress waiting for an answer from them. I believe I was given a "run-around" and I do NOT recommend the store or company or your service to anyone.

I normally keep the machine in an enclosed garage and I religiously use non-ethanol gas but I gave them the benefit of the doubt and reluctantly paid. I never needed the machine the remainder of the year and felt confident going into this year that I was loaded for bear and winter. The very first time I used the machine the same problem occurred so I brought it back. It took them over a month to replace a $108 part and tried charging me $700 more! They reluctantly reduced the fee to $460 and told me it was a blessing. Their service needs revamping and they need to stop GOUGING customers.

    I purchased a Movie Man recliner by Ashley at Dunk and Bright on January 14, 2026 and it was…read moredelivered a few weeks later. I found that the lever on this recliner didn't work. Excessive force is required to get it to close. I asked for a repair or replacement. The repair man called saying it would be weeks for the part to come in and I said that I can't wait that long. It was replaced by an exact duplicate, even down to the color. The second one doesn't work either. It's an expensive piece of garbage that only my cat can use. I can't get the lever to work and if I push the end of the recliner with my foot so it will go back in, that doesn't work either. I called their store and was told that I won't get a refund of the white glove delivery fee. I kept saying over and over "but It doesn't work," to which the woman on the other and of the line kept repeating her mantra that it was delivered. Sorry, but that excuse doesn't work. This falls under not fit for ordinary use under warranty law. I shouldn't have to use excessive force to close it. I want a total refund. I paid $758.16 including tax and the white glove delivery fee. I also paid the delivery guys (first recliner) $40 in a tip. Altogether Dunk and Bright owes me $798.16. I want my money back NOW. My primary care provider told me to keep my legs elevated. I have lymphedema. I NEEDED this thing to work. I am disabled and am still recovering from major abdominal surgery. I am very angry. It shouldn't be this hard to get help. This product is defective.
