They sent a technician who immediately said it was not fixable. Turns out it had been discontinued when we bought it. They were trying to sell through their stock to make room for other/new items. They gave us a store credit to this New Hartford NY location where we initially bought the couch from. We decided to get a new couch from somewhere else. Today we went in to use the credit toward something else and were told in order to use it, they need to take the original couch away. I was not told this. We had already got rid of it to make room for the new couch from somewhere else. This place used to be considered high end. Not anymore. They scam you by selling knowingly defective merchandise and then make you jump through hoops to actually use your hard earned money toward something useful. Don't waste your time at this place. So they end up with $2,936.15 of my money.

Cancelled WITHOUT notifying me? Got a new appointment and the service man took pictures and said they would be sent to the company and I would hear in a few days. 2 weeks have gone by, and I've heard nothing, so I called Raymour and Flanagan. The girl answering the phone said she was emailing service and I'm STILL WAITING. TERRIBLE customer service!!

One of the items we fell in love with was a large framed canvas to hang over her sofa. Unfortunately, all three pieces had visible damage. We asked the cashier if we could receive a discount being there weren't any additional undamaged pieces. Not expecting much, we were pleasantly surprised when the manager visited and offered to take 50% off with the condition it would be a final sale. My cousin purchased the painting and we did our best to conceal the damage to the frame before hanging it. It really is a perfect addition to her home! We also located a really pretty lamp during our light fixture search that matches her picture frame beautifully. Finally, we picked out some odds and ends and were able to find most of what she needed over the course of two shopping trips. The selection of merchandise is good and the customer service is great. I recommend shopping here when searching for home decor.

My order came in much faster than I thought it would, and pickup was very easy. They have a nice showroom and two big warehouses, so finding what you are looking for there is pretty easy. My only complaints are that I had to call to order it instead of placing an order on their website, and the salesperson who initially took my order was a bit rude. However, when I called back the following week to check on my order, I spoke to another salesperson who was very nice and helpful. Overall, I recommend Lavoda if you want a nice piece of furniture at a good price.

Wake Me Up from This Mattress Nightmare--No Refunds!…read more I had a disappointing experience with Metro Mattress in New Hartford, NY. Sales rep Lydia promised a 90-day refund, saying, "you can return it," and noted clearance center purchases weren't refundable (they had my mattress cheaper)--implying a brand new one was refundable. I chose the pricier option for refund assurance. On May 23, 2025, I called for a refund; Lydia delayed me, mentioning a new manager and that we had plenty of time in the 90-day window. On June 2, 2025, my wife and I visited. Manager Zoe said they only offer exchanges with forfeiture. When we explained that's not what Lydia told us, Zoe admitted, "that's why Lydia is no longer here." She then showed us their policy which is in fine print, not on signs or clearly explained. We're out thousands--and instead of sleeping in peace, we're losing sleep over broken promises. Hopefully it will get sorted out.

I slept on it for about 3 weeks and it was very uncomfortable. So I called the store and told them something must be wrong because I can't sleep on it. I was told to take a picture and send it in. I was given an e-mail address to send it to. I did this, but never received an answer. Meanwhile, I put my old mattress (which I also purchases from the same store on 11/25/2015: Model S2471 5/OM and the base and the mattress protecter.) I am still pleased with this mattress. Then I called the store numerous times and here are the answers I got: 1. We don't have an extra person to come and look at it. 2. I was told someone was on his way, but they never showed up. 3. The person was in transit and I was on his list. Again - never showed. Then, three weeks ago I got a call that a person was coming that day. And this time they actually showed up. He took some pictures and then left. Finally, I received a letter from the company. It basically said: "Sorry, you don't qualify." For 8 months I've had the mattress standing up against the wall while I slept comfortably on my older mattress waiting for an answer from them. I believe I was given a "run-around" and I do NOT recommend the store or company or your service to anyone.
