I bought several Christmas gifts here last year and returned today to buy several hand painted Mexican planters. I love the variety of planter patterns and sizes the store offers. They also have tons of dishes. The store owner, Delia, is delightful and worked hard to answer all my questions and help me find the perfect pieces. She even let me go into her storage area to look at items that weren't on display. I love this store and will most definitely be back!

Their calendar selection was extremely limited. The ones they had were a bit damaged--that is, bent up or partially opened or missing the cellophane wrapping. There were a few sections that needed repairing and or sprucing up. In saying that, the huge children's section was pretty great. The prices were a bit exorbitant compared to Amazon. I resisted buying copies of books I loved that I recently read through my local library. The restrooms were not open. Not sure why. Lastly, there was only one person checking folks out. I even overheard the staff at the resource center discussing this. Glad y'all have one, but there is immense room for improvement.

I always feel extremely uncomfortable going into this store because the workers are always talking under their selves then looking at people and it makes me wonder "oh man what if they are talking about me?" Sometimes when people will ask about a book they ALWAYS instantly say they don't have it and they will look it up and then continue to say they can order it but it will take a very long time, basically trying to get the person not to order the book. It seems very highschoolish or cliquey if you will. There is only one lady there who has a welcoming smile and expression but it seems like everyone else just wants you gone. It seems like if you come in there just to relax, maybe grab a cup of coffee and read a book or maybe go on your phone or even just walk around they don't consider you someone to even ask "Do you need any help?" I don't know, it's a very off vibe to me. One time I was standing and aisle away from my wife, they offered her help 3 times and literally just looked at me and walked off..... kind of.... Weird? I for the love of God wish I could remember one ladies name that works there cause she has always been so sweet and helpful everytime she sees me and always ask what I'm looking for, even if I just want to get away from the rest of the world. The staff members were really nice and encouraged me to sign up for their free drawing. There were many door buster deals and items for sale in honor of 4th of July. My daughter and I purchased a few items together so we could stack my 20% off birthday coupon. That was appreciated. Of course, I'll be back because this is the closest one to me, but I hope it's cleaner and a bit more kempt next time.

The Midland Park Mall is a decent mall with most of what you would need from a mall like some…read moreclothing stores, a sporting goods store, a few department stores, and a food court. I think it is important to consider that this is a mall in Midland. You can't expect anything super fancy like what you would see in a major city. The mall itself is clean and well-maintained with no weird smells or anything like that. It seems like the stores themselves are well-managed as well. They seem to keep their stock up to date and organized. The food court is disappointing with not a lot of options at all. The options that are there aren't great but, again, keep in mind where you are. The vendors are annoying and will come up to you and offer shoe cleanings and samples but if you tell them "no" most of them will just back off. The parking lot feels packed and a bit claustrophobic but it's not a huge deal.

Shirts, jewelry, and home decor had all made their way into my shopping cart. Mardel's is a great place for finding great gifts and items for all. I came across items for different popular religions as I was looking around. Diversity is so important and it's nice that individuals from different religions can come here to find items that support their faith and religious needs. It was relaxing just wandering around Mardel's, perusing everything as uplifting Christian music and advertisements played in the background through the intercom. A very kind older women rang us up, I believe she was the customer service manager. She moved slowly, carefully and patiently, ensuring she rang us up just right and that she packaged all our fragile items well. I left Mardel's feeling lighter and peaceful. I don't know how to explain it but it made me make a mental note to ensure I visit a Christian bookstore more regularly. It's good for the soul. I look forward to returning whenever I'm in the area again.
