EntertainMart is housed in the old Hastings in Midland, and it is filled with nostalgia and grief. It's exciting to be able to find DVDs, old and new, records, comics, books, and more all in one place, but the interior has not been renovated, so there's a slight odor to the place. Not huge, but fairly substantial. I didn't buy any, however, this place is definitely on my radar. But the rest of the shop brought on nostalgia mixed with a bit of uniqueness. Haverty's unfortunately stands out as the worst stop of all solely because of the persistence and nagging of their salespeople. I made the mistake of giving one of them my phone number after showing strong interest in one of their couches, that person then continued to call me on weeknights, weekends and holidays for the next several months asking if I was going to buy the couch. It was a car salesman to the extreme. I went back last week and unfortunately got the same pushy sales approach from a different salesman. Tip for Management - allow your sales team to greet the customer and check in once or twice but let the customer have some freedom. If I ever buy from Haverty's it will be online. I won't return to your storefront.
