I am shocked by some of these reviews. I have never had any issues. My most recent Golden is elderly and they take such good care of her. First off, Richard is a passionate and talented man, it's easy to see from the moment you meet him; Richard does what he loves. Second, he speaks dog... like direct communication, but what's cool is before I knew it, I was communicating with my babies even better. He was teaching me to talk to the dogs the whole time and I had no clue. Third, he inspired me! It is not often you meet somebody with the courage to walk away from every comfort they know to pursue something they love. Richard listened to what I wanted to do, I wanted to strengthen the bond between myself and the dogs. I already see a difference, they do too. I've worked with several trainers in the past and never felt a comfortable, or confident connection and neither did my dogs. I don't know who's more excited about our next lesson, me or the dogs. I went into the shelter looking at kitties all excited and happy with my friend and her boyfriend…read more we asked to see a couple of cats and i would ask questions like is this cat friendly with animals? or does she like to be held? answered short and not brief. i fell in love with this cat named oreo so sweet i had to walk up to the front lady with short hair and a mask on talking to me with attitude. im a 19 year old trying to get a cat and she starts talking about paperwork and talking to me like i couldn't pay or do right. like yall this place is a 0/5 do not give these people your service because they do not know how to do their job.

I saw a puppy on line and called them on Friday ...the stray was on a 5 day holding per law they…read moresaid to call back on Monday...MY husband and I were the first in line on Monday ready to meet the baby...They said the dog has already been spoken for...I said you told me it was going to be 5 days...per law...the boy up front asked who I talked with...I didn't get her name ....I did voice my opinion about how disappointed we were to hear this...It's a shame there are rules for some but not all...Spartanburg Humane Society..you definitely need to do better than this....I'm sad to say this is the last time I will ever visit again......
