We have 2 Mini-Australian Shepherds and one is very fear reactive as he was attacked on trails many times as a young puppy. We had other trainers tell us our male dog would never live a normal life and could never be around other dogs or children. Guiding Canines took the time to understand our dogs and create a meticulous training plan! They simulated real life situations since we had a baby on the way with noisy toys, crying dolls, strollers... the WORKS! We are so grateful for them! Our dogs did really well with the arrival of our son thanks to Guiding Canines! We stayed in contact with them and just moved to the East Coast. We were so excited to be near Guiding Canines again! They have taken care of our dogs and setup a follow-up training schedule while we get our house settled. They're extremely flexible but always keep the dogs best interest at the forefront. Dr. Davis and Ashley were so patient, letting me actively participate in Addie's exam to keep her as calm as possible. Addie has been limping 3 days, non-weightbearing. The team not only evaluated her leg but also did her annual workup, updated vaccines, trimmed her nails and cleaned her ears, AND looked at a spot Addie had licked bald on her front arm. It took over an hour but at no point did i feel rushed or burdensome. My past three experiences were with my two cats, one i had to put to sleep in April. The team, i believe Dr Davis then too, were so kind and compassionate. They talked me through what was going on with my cat and gave me my options, expressing support either way. That's so important in these scenarios to have support from your pet's provider, to know you are in a judgement free zone. Highly recommend this practice. Everyone is professional and kind - from people who answer phone calls, to triage and rooming, to the provider and technicians. 5 stars!!

We were new to this vet. Our vet we had been using for years couldn't get us in. Our sweet fur baby…read moreCoco had stopped eating and not been drinking much. She was 13 years old . New Prospect Veterinary Hospital wrk with our schedule. They were very accommodating. After getting Coco there, they did some X-rays and blood work. The Dr. brought me back and showed me Coco's results. Her lab work was abnormal and she had a large tumor in her liver. The Dr. told me she felt it was time. I went outside and got my husband and my son who had Coco with them. We all went into an exam room. They came in and the Dr. Got on the floor with Coco (she weighed 78 lbs) and gently gave her a sedative injection in one of her back legs. She told us she could tell she was a sweet girl when she looked into her beautiful brown eyes. She had just met her for the 1st time and could tell what a great dog she was. She left the room for a few minutes so we could spend a bit more time with her. About 15-20 minutes later, she came back. Coco was hardly breathing by then. The Dr. Have her the final injection very gently. Coco passed away with her head on my adult son's lap. We were told to take all the time we needed. After a few minutes, we came out and left. Today, a week later, we received the sweetest sympathy card from their office. Everyone had signed it . They are the most kind and compassionate veterinarian office we've ever been too. From the time we walked in, everyone was so sweet. More importantly, they all spoke so sweetly to our Coco. We will always sing your praises to everyone. I wish we had met under better circumstances, and as sad and heartbroken as we are, I have to say New Prospect Veterinary Hospital is the very best.
