I went in for a tongue piercing. I was so excited. I was unhappy with how it came out. It was very crooked and I was told that he was unable to do his job properly because my phone was out. I had my phone at my lap and I wasn't looking at it. It was turned off. He raised his voice at me and I remained very polite and calm. He refused to fix the problem. Calling the manager tomorrow for a refund because they refused to do so and a manager wasn't present. Update: March 18th,2020 Called for my refund and spoke to the supposed owner. I wish I recorded this call because I remained friendly and polite and I was met with such RUDE customer service. This establishment is completely unprofessional. "Oh so you're the little girl that kept moving" I can ASSURE YOU that I did not even flinch. I have a tattoo and a nose piercing and I at most shed a tear during my nose piercing because it is a NATURAL REACTION. I didn't even shed a tear during this service. DON'T GO HERE! I went in on Wednesday for a custom tattoo with Jarrod. I sent a reference photo when I made the appointment last Saturday, and the tweaks he did to the design were great! He was extremely sanitary and very nice, and the whole process went smoothly! It's not totally healed yet, but it seems to be going well so far. I'm adding a photo of when I first got it done. ALCOHOL..... BAD... BAD... BAD.... This tattoo shop is allowing people to pierce childrens ears while intoxicated. This is a huge problem for our community. I turned my grandchild away from here for this and would like action taken. I brought it up to the owner with no such luck. We can not have this kind of thing in our city. I have been in multiple times and have smelled alcohol in this shop and it is appalling as they are a new business to the community at 549 s otterbein. I was in there a couple of weeks ago with my grandchild getting her ears pierced. I want to state that how business is conducted here is absolutely awful. It's a disgrace and the fact that you let someone completely smell alcohol while. doing the piercing of ears on a child. What if something would have happened to my grandchild. This is beyond a doubt absolutely wrong. I will be making the city aware of this as this is absolutely atrocious, but to allow this is just wrong. Drinking while doing this kind of work is not acceptable, I don't think it puts a good image out there for people as such to be coming in smelling of booze. This is a big problem in the community of Westerville and i think it's a big problem for your business. Allowing this is not professional. I am trying to get the point across that you actively employ and protect alcoholics when they show up to work as a piercer and tattooist and could cause harm to others themselves and your business. I did not have a heated conversation with either my daughter or my granddaughter.That is a different person entirely with a whole family of problems it seems. Clearly the alcohol is a bigger problem as the clients are not remembered. I feel sorry for you. As I stated in the emails I will be taking legal action and I have already contacted people in the city of Westerville. This is awful to think that you can blame cleaning products on the smell of whiskey. I've been coming here to see Gary for about 5 years now and so long as he's here, Atattooed will have my business. Gary is very personable and down to earth and really helps ease any nerves you have about the experience. He's also the best tattoo artist I've had the pleasure of meeting. I look at the work he's done for me compared to folks who have gotten work done elsewhere around Columbus and what he does is just plain better. I've never had any issues with a tattoo healing here, as I've followed the instructions given to me for aftercare. I only met Jarrod and Raven and from my brief interactions they seem pretty nice. I scheduled an industrial piercing appointment with Raven for a week after I initially met her. I walked in the day of my appointment early and filled out all the paperwork and met Jarrod right then. I found out he would be the one doing it and I wasn't expecting him to be the one doing it but I just went with it. There were only 2 customers in the shop (including me) at that time He talked about the piercing process with me a little as he was setting it up. He picked out a bar that was too short for my ear with the swelling. After he pierced it he seemed in a rush to get paid and get me out. He didn't even like give me a minute to look in the mirror to see that I liked it/that it looked good. It was my first piercing and he didn't even mention the healing process or how to clean it. He only gave me cleaner after I brought it up. He also didn't really talk to me after he pierced it other than giving me the cleaner. read more

Will begin saying my ex, myself,and daughter have had much work done here..Never anything but relaxed and good experience. About a Month and a half ago I make appointment. Its that booked up. Weeks go by with no communication so I call inquire about renderings and design. Sorry. I'm been busy and don't worry. Ok. Cool. One day before appointment I get call. Not from the artist but female staff. States we tried to email pictures but bad email returnrd. I'm frustrated and try to convey this, didn't want to wait till day of to make changes,face delay even more or rescheduling when already waited so long for appointment. Had my number and I'm what happened regarding email. After the fact the emails they send me come right through. Interesting. I was frustrated and anxious about the lack of lead time to approve a very simple design . nothing personal. Next day, call from artist, did not appreciate or approve of my attitude or my manner of conveying frustration. I'm cancelling you appointments and your no longer welcome here...whaaaaat. Why? At no time was I inappropriate or hostile just frustrated. Artist discretion to refuse repeated, good customer, so be it...... Next day, call from owner. She can get me in, cancellation opening. Omg. So excited now, happy. We email I'm asking about design. Relaying my ideas ,etc. Next day,day before I'm to go in......shocked, I get email, After our conversation.... I'm cancelling your appointments. Don't call. Don't come here. Even saying they will call police if I come there. I'm seriously shocked, hurt, and very very disappointed after such a good working relationship... Police? Really?....... Wish I had a transcript of the original phone call because I really said nothing out of line or personally addressed anyone just venting about the process. While I was a student at Otterbein, I passed this place many, many times while going up and down State St. Being a girl who never does anything out of the ordinary, I decided to get my tragus pierced (I know, crazy right?). My roommate and I went in there and after about a 5 minute wait we were helped. The sound of tattoos being done in the back made me queasy to my stomach--but I'm sure that is just me that happens to. My roommate got her nose pierced (so gross to watch) and then it was my turn. After the super friendly guy got the earring through, I passed out. This is pretty typical as I pass out fairly often (sight of blood, smell of hospital, crunching sound in ear), and when I came back to, he was very accommodating. He got me water, some candy, and I was good to go. I probably will not be getting any more piercings and I do not plan to get a tattoo anytime soon, but I do recommend this place to anyone looking for friendly and clean service. read more

I got my tragus pierced at Atattooed after a friend referred me there and I loved it. The piercer was super friendly and professional. He made me feel very comfortable the whole time, and I was pretty nervous. The waiting room is nice, they have a really comfortable couch and a tv, so my husband didn't get bored while he was waiting for me to get pierced. The place is a little small inside, but that's ok cause it's not like you're waiting in there for very long. The prices aren't too bad, I've seen alot worse, so I feel like I got a great deal. TERRIBLE. I've never been treated so badly by body artists. First of all, I was actually YELLED AT by the piercer when getting my nose pierced. I involuntarily flinched, which I understand is frustrating when someone is trying to punch a small hole in your nose. However, yelling at your client is not the way to calm them. Secondly, my piercing rejected, which is somewhat normal. When calling the piercing artist, he advised me to try to put the jewelry back in myself, leaving me susceptible to infection. He said that if I could not get it back in on my own, then I would have to pay again. Ultimately, my nose had to be reprieved about five times before I gave up. Once everything finally healed, I went to another studio and had no problem whatsoever. They were phenomenal. The staff made it very apparent that they were judging me based off of the university that I attended at the time, and their bedside manner (for lack of a better word) left much to be desired. Definitely consider looking around before stepping in. read more

I would warn anyone who is looking to have a tattoo designed not to go to this place if you are actually wanting to get work done within a few days. I paid these guys $50 in advance for design work, which was to include as much design as needed until you get what you want. It took almost 2 weeks to get an initial drawing done. The initial drawing looked like someone spent 5 minutes on it. It's now been over a month and I do not have a final design. When I inquired about it, I was told, "sorry, we are busy, and no, you can not get your money back". People have told me their work is good, but I have no idea. All I know is they will take your money and then be in absolutely no hurry to get you a design. read more

We showed up and they had the exact idea printed I sent to them and didn't give any effort to try and think of other ideas for my mother and I. After a whole five minutes of talking to him about ideas(since he didn't do it when we stated we needed ideas to feed off of) he got frustrated and stated you are wasting my time are we doing this or not. So this soccer mom got her first tattoo several weeks ago. It was a great experience, but a slight alteration was recommended. Although I thought it was great, the tattoo artist felt it needed to be fine-tuned because my skin didn't absorb one color of the dye quite so perfectly. So, three weeks later I went back and he touched it up. It's spectacular and everything I had hoped it would be. They run a very professional (slightly funky) shop. Highly recommend. I had my tragus pierced a year ago at Atattooed. I had nothing but trouble with it from the start. The first thing that happened was the balls kept coming off the labret.The piercing also began to look as if it was creeping closer and closer to the edge of my ear. I went back to Jared, the person who pierced it and was told it was rejecting. He took it out and offered to re pierce it for free. I asked him why the balls would not stay on and he said he didn't know. He said he had not heard complaints from others. He advised me to make sure to check the jewelry daily to make sure the balls were tight (which I had been doing anyway.) I went ahead and decided to give him another chance and have the tragus redone but on the other ear. Once again I followed all of the aftercare care instructions closely but the piercing would not heal Again it also seemed as if the jewelry was really close to the edge. I went to other shops to get a second opinion.I was told it was way to shallow and again in danger of rejecting. I went back to Atattoed once again and was told it looked perfectly fine and the other shops were wrong. I kept this piercing in for a few more weeks. I continued to do my research and decided it would be best to have it redone at a shop that has their APP Certification and used quality internally threaded jewelry. I could not be happier with the results! Please don't be stupid like I was. Do you research BEFORE deciding on a piercer ! It is not worth the pain, time, and money to go through what I did. Go to a shop that knows how to do a proper piercing. Atattooed doesn't have a clue! The worst part is they seem to lazy to care. read more
