I received courteous, prompt, and professional care and was out hiking the next day, don't tell my doctor. Best part other than they prescribed the correct inhaler, not the one my Dr. in Aspen, CO had mis-prescribed was they actually took time with you to discuss your case and get things right. I think I like European health care! Now if I can just figure out a way to get back to the Chamonix valley and work as an american and hike all those bits I still want to hike. I'm in!..if anyone knows someone who's hiring!! :)

The service in Switzerland is great in general but this was by far the best of the trip. Had fruit and some of the best croissants I've ever tasted for breakfast. The spa has a pool, hot tub, normal and Finnish sauna, steam room, and more. It's a two minute walk from the Sundegga lift, there are lots of ski/snowboard options nearby, its close to a bunch of good restaurants (really anything in Zermatt is walkable in less than 20 minutes). If you're an expert or intermediate skier it's really easy to take a 5 minute bus ride to the gondolas that go up the the Matterhorn glacier paradise. You can also get a lift pass right at the front desk and I got a great deal on rentals for staying there. To top it off, I had checked out in the morning but they still generously offered to let me use the shower and spa again before the train to Zurich, which was much appreciated after a day of skiing. The hotel was wonderful and the excellent service really made the stay.

The rooms are spacious - plenty of room to spread out even with all your ski/snowboard clothes, equipment, bags, etc; enough closet space, and a large bathroom. The view from our room was breathtaking - waking up and going to sleep everyday to the site of the town with the Swiss Alps and the Matterhorn is one we will never forget. The breakfast was wonderful, it was a large spread that would accommodate anyone with amazing views of the Alps and the Matterhorn as well. The spa was so pleasant, relaxing, and large. The pool is big enough to swim laps, the Jacuzzi was a great way to massage and relax your muscles after a day on the slopes or hiking. The warming lounges were another pleasant and relaxing surprise that put everyone who laid on them to sleep. The two saunas and steam room are really nice and spacious. Also within the spa are a sleeping/relaxing room, showers, and locker rooms. My wife and I could not have been more relaxed when leaving the spa everyday. All in all this hotel is easily a 5/5 in every aspect. When we go back to Zermatt we will definitely be staying here.
