Everyone should exhibit a certain decent amount of friendly based upon their career. They are NOT car salesmen. The vending machines were modern and they did have a state of the art Inmate System. Securus/Smart Deposit. I had to use the restroom and it was clean with locks on the restroom to limit any more forms of drama. Who in the heck makes a date to the County Jail? So why would I even think to take a peek at this facility, however the people in the jail were cool as heck. Jails should give YOU EVERY reason to provoke NO return. P.S. As you know wizards usually apparate but for international travel a portkey is the best. Its listed as Inman Park Lockbox and apparently use to be a real jail cell from back in the 1800's... We were able to get to our destination (sorry but we can't reveal the destination) and will probably be back for the 2019 World cup!

The OMJC reminds me of kinds of things…read moreyou'd find in Portland, OR., Fremont (Seattle), Austin, Key West or New Orleans...where weirdness is celebrated. An interesting remnant of a bygone era, the OMJC or the "iron maiden" was used by foot patrolmen to temporarily hold prisoners waiting for the paddy wagon in the 1880s (according to Atlanta Walks). Surprisingly, it's in good condition with a working door. It is rather skinny with only tiny skylights for lighting...not recommended for anyone with claustrophobia or nyctophobia. The OMJC stands alone at Delta Park in Inman Park. This tiny triangular shaped park is in the middle of 3 intersections. Hence the name? Also found at Delta Park is a historic civil war marker that has nothing to do with the OMJC. Free and not touristy. Parking is street. A quirky slice of history... maybe Atlanta has been a little offbeat all along!

Anderson said BEFORE I left if I came back BEFORE 7...they would process the paperwork. I'm here and now she says it will be the next shift. Meanwhile the officers are outside laughing and talking instead of working. Taking care of basic business shouldn't be this hard. Treating someone with courtesy and respect shouldn't be this hard. Getting SERVICE from a building full of PUBLIC SERVANTS shouldn't be this hard. But let me start cussing and disrespecting these lazy, incompetent, no one knows the right answer ass officers and I'll be the one they arrest. I was a guest there for 16 plus days. The beds are too hard and the accommodations were too cold…read more Showers are difficult to obtain however, the concierge was most accommodating and provided me with a blanket to alleviate the cold. Footwear leaves something to be desired as both of my shoes had the same size written on them, but one was almost 2 inches longer than the other. As for the food, lunch was pretty good but dinner consisted of a bunch of chopped up ( chicken? ) inside of two folded soft tortillas and mustard. Overall my stay was miserable but then again, it's not supposed to be fun. The staff was excellent and extraordinarily professional! The Sheriff has done an excellent job maintaining order, despite the other visitors consistently banging on doors and beating up the other residents. As jails go, I give it four stars. It would have been five but for the mattress and that the cooks use all the spices they can grope for or non at all. I don't plan on returning and will instead choose a hotel in Locust Groce. Thank you.
