The standout dish was the duck breast. My wife had the chicken with curry sauce, garbanzo beans and pumpkin. The servings are hefty and enough for two people. Also, the food was absolutely delicious! I arrived and didn't realize I was in the right spot as there was no host stand when you walk past a heavy velvet curtain. Rather you're greeted immediately with tables and people dining. It was awkward as I walked out and a local walked me back in and announced to everyone that I thought I was lost. It have everyone quite the entertainment. Despite that welcome the food was amazing and super intricate. The food descriptions are simple yet three plates arrive for one course. People surrounding me were being served at least 8 to 12 courses and I was so full after my six. More than enough! Total bill with two glasses of wine was 150 euros. There is interior seating but we sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful day. The lentil soup was delicious and the cod with spinach was cooked to perfection. The tortilla was a little different than the ones we enjoyed in Spain but still very good. Spanish tapas in Germany are a nice break from the traditional German fare.

I loved that in spite of the chilly 40 degree temps, patrons were sitting at benches outside with blankets provided by the bar enjoying their drinks. When we arrived it was 10:45 and when we asked as we sat down when they closed, the young bartender told us they closed at 11pm, but would let us know when last call came around. We ordered a couple of lovely German reds and proceeded to enjoy another hour or so of conversation and another glass of wine. Finally at nearly midnight we hear last call. While we didn't partake, we watched the the bartenders putting together lovely plates of charcuterie and cheese with bread. As we'd just had dinner, we just couldn't eat another bite, but it all looked so good. They had a great selection of wines and friendly service.
