It's a clean location with 24 hour operation. They've just converted over the machines from coin to a card. The card requirement is new. I tried loading their app and it says my Android phone isn't compatible. I guess I could have used a credit card to pre-load one of their cards, but I see that as an impediment to just coming in to dry my clothes. It looks like their rates increased as well. I called their number as they described for help. 24 hours later and still no response. This location has made it more difficult to do business. I'm going to go elsewhere. read more

Had I not witnessed this myself, I would not believe what I am writing. Yesterday, I was washing clothes at this establishment. My attention was drawn to a lady using one of the dryers. She had opened the door to the dryer she was using and smoke was billowing out. Not steam, but smoke. The smoke began to get thick in the laundrymat so we opened both the front and back doors. It was that bad. The lady's clothes were literally being burned up in the dryer. She began to slowly pull out some of her garments and put them into one of the rolling carts. The stench was intense. Two or three of us called the number posted above the washing machines. About 30 minutes later, a person who identified himself as the owner arrived and came inside. As to this next part, again, if I have not heard this, I would not believe it. The owner actually had the nerve to claim the ladies clothes caught on fire because she was using the high setting on the dryer. He explained that it's important to read the labels on clothes so this doesn't happen. Even though this was a ridiculous statement, I piped in and asked if that was the case, then where are the warning signs about this danger posted in the laundry mat ? The owner immediately changed the subject and said all of the dryers were inspected a couple of weeks ago, and they were all just fine. Obviously, there was a serious problem with this particular dryer, but the owner did not want to take any responsibility whatsoever. Everybody in the laundry mat could've walked out, and just let the place burn up, but the owner did not seem to have any appreciation for that. I left my number with the lady and she reported back that the owner finally paid a reasonable amount of money for the destruction of her clothes. Perhaps the owner overheard me advising the lady on how small claims court works. Be careful if you do business at this laundromat. read more

The laundromat was very clean with lots of washer size options. The change machine was working. We were really frustrated when our home washer's replacement was said to be on a 21 day back order. Athens Wash House was a welcome surprise and gave us peace of mind! read more

Almost $4 to do one load of laundry?! And that's not even including drying. This is honestly ridiculous. Maybe I just haven't used a laundromat in a while, but most places I've been to were $2 a load MAXIMUM. Absolutely ridiculous. read more

This is an EXCELLENT business. Anytime that I visit this location to wash my comforters and larger items, it is CLEAN, WELL MAINTAINED, & SAFE! We have a very large family with lots of kids, and this is a place I'm not even concerned about bringing my kids. There is an extremely diverse client base, which is great. And never any riff raff that we've ever had to deal with. On a couple of occasions we've visited to do our entire laundering process, and it's been great. They have multiple size machines, you name the size, they got it. They have nice, clean carts, folding tables, etc. Their restroom on site is maintained properly and clean. In addition, there's a decent restaurant right next to them that you can order food or they will walk it over. They have tables and a television in their front area which is definitely an added plus. We'll always recommend this business. read more

Absolutely the best laundromat I have ever been to! Everything is so clean and neat! Love it. The prices are a plus and special Wednesdays are amazing! This will be my go to place when I need it. Only down fall my softest blanket messed up when placed in the dryer. I put it in delicate but it's still got messed up. Other than that. Love the place. read more

Prices are better than some others around, the hours are convenient, clean enough, lots of machines. Main downside = not nearly enough seating. There were not many people there, but multiple stuck standing around (makes the wifi less of a benefit-- don't plan on sitting and getting work done while you wait on your laundry). read more

For the laundry places in Athens, this place is pretty good. They have a number of different sizes of washers that can accommodate different sizes of loads of laundry. It is pretty clean and I haven't had any problems with clothes going missing if I have to step away. They are somewhat pricier than other laundromats I have been to so just be prepared. read more

Great laundromat. Came here while I was in the middle of a two week work stint. Got my laundry done quickly and efficiently for around $5. Remember to bring detergent with you! I spilled spaghetti on my comforter and needed to wash it at a laundromat since my washing machine was too small. The Wash House (also "Coin Laundry") was EXCELLENT! Safe, clean, and affordable. The machines were new and excellent - the washers even had a weight sensor that would lower the price if you didn't fill them to the maximum capacity! I was sure my thick comforter would need a solid hour to dry, but after 30 minutes, it was dry as a bone. Technically, they didn't offer WiFi, but I picked up another business' free signal without a problem. I was a bit hesitant to go to any laundromat at 10 pm, but I was completely at ease at this place. 100% recommended! read more
