There are certain expectations when attending a Florida Bartending School Course that gives an exam…read moreand certificate. I wasn't expecting to walk into a dive bar atmosphere to learn the course. The facility is run down with inadequate tools to learn with. Although the back bar liquor bottles were in passable condition, the bottles on the speed rack looked like they have been there for at least 20 years. The bottles were dirty and labels scratched and unreadable, the soda bottles were beat up without labels so you were guessing what was in the bottles. Since there were no carbonated soda to practice with, you are guessing if you made a drink correctly. There was only one strainer for all of us to share, and it was difficult to garnish a drink with plastic fruit that you couldn't cut into. The instructor tried to show how to 'float' with water, but of course that doesn't work with water. I was surprised they didn't provide the instructor with a syrup to show the 'float' technique or a couple of pieces of fruit to show the proper way to 'muddle'. I guess I'll have to watch a U-Tube video, but for $295 I thought it would be provided. Our instructor, Heather, did a wonderful job of walking us through the workbook and explaining everything in detail. She was patient, thorough and always asked if we had any questions. She did a great job despite the limited supplies she had to work with.

They put a strong emphasis on respect and character building, with lots of "yes ma'am/sir" being encouraged. Personally, it felt a little overkill at times. They blend Tae Kwon Do and Krav Maga. The belt system seems legitimate and organized, and overall the school felt professional. Monthly pricing was pretty much on par with other martial arts gyms we've visited. The biggest downside for us was the required gear package, which is expensive, over $400 per person. That adds up quickly for families with multiple kids. Overall though, it seems like a solid martial arts school with a positive environment and strong focus on discipline.

They have a lane reserved in the gym pool for classes. The instructors are passionate, knowledgeable, and make learning fun for our daughter. Safety is always the #1 priority and is emphasized during every lesson. My daughter has already learned SO MUCH and has become super confident in the water. The school director Tatiana has been super helpful, flexible, and accommodating during some shuffling of our schedule. If you have a little who you need to get pool ready, this is the absolute best place to do it.

They usually have one of the three lanes reserved for the students. It's a decent sized pool and heated, which is great. The class sizes have been super small so far, giving my 5 yr old a lot of attention. She doesn't get distracted or bored waiting for her turn, which is so rare compared to other swim schools we've tried. The instructors have all been friendly and appear to really love their job. They are always smiling and teaching techniques in a fun way for the kids to remember what to do and help them pay attention My kid has already gotten so confident in the water and has only been going for a little over a month. The class times are convenient for working parents. They also have weekend classes. My kid squeals when she knows it's a swim class day. I would say that's the best compliment the school can get!
