I feel cheated by ATI. I have been called ATI to try to solve statement balance issue, but every time I call I get an answer that some associate will call me back in few days but it never happens. When I did my physical therapy section at ATI in Elgin, I was informed that I had to pay 5 UDS for each session, and the remaining balance will be paid by my health plan. Then few weeks later when all physical therapy section was already done, I got a more than 2000USD bill. I did many complains, but seems nobody at ATI is taking care of this.. I hated having to have my shoulder re-worked. Going in I knew there would by long suffering days, and shear agony while trying to stretch and strengthen my shoulder. When the doctor schedules your surgery, they schedule your first few Physical Therapy visits. Lucky for me ATI has therapists in the Greer Memorial Complex. It is convenient-located a door down from my surgeon. My therapy began the day after surgery at ATI, with Becky my therapist. Day one is awkward, you're still groggy, in pain and scared about the possible damage you could cause your shoulder. They get it and really look out for you. ATI is spotless with decent hardworking administrators as soon as you walk through the door. Becky summoned me right on time and brought me to a private area to evaluate me and walk me through my immediate, mid range, and exit process goals. Her approach was comfortable and caring. She exuded a kind confidence which helped me prepare for months of physical therapy. My therapy began with lite stretches and over the past 5 weeks has included slowly added weights. Every increase is a major milestone, and I can now see the light at the end of the tunnel. It's exciting to reach new levels. Ultimately physical therapy is hard and pushes you to new limits. Having the right therapist and group is essential to reaching those heights. ATI and Becky are the pinnacle of professionalism, and are ready to guide your journey. They're 5-Star great! Going here for one PT session was incredibly stressful. The facility is over crowded, treatment tables far too close to each other, no privacy, and loud. Between the loud room and masks, I spent most of my session saying, "What?" to the young woman who was providing treatment. The computer system was down, and she wasn't even able to print the at-home exercises I was supposed to do. There are lots of PT choices around (since the insurance companies seem to mandate PT before a doctor will actually DO anything). I'm going to find one where I don't have to struggle to hear and relax. read more

Get everything in writing. They will tell you the cost is one thing and then overcharge you.

DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU WNAT YOU PAIN TREATED! If you want to be told how you should feel and told you your pain is helping then this is the place for you. I was recommended ATI by my insurance and my doctor. The care was less then idea. I was rarely place with someone individually. The person in charge the of my exercise didn't seem to know what i should be doing the exercise progressively made my pain way worse. When I voiced my concerns they brushed me off and kept the same exercise. I was also often placed with persons who were interns and who made me do manny exercises that I was told that " you are too strong for these" when I received my bill it's was extremely high. I reached out and was told I was charged by exercise (which was not made clear before) not only was I pushed to the side each visit then I was charged an extremely inflated amount. When I tried to reach out multiple times to see if I could get an exactly itemized bill I was given the run around and then never contacted back. In addition to applying for financial aid and once again I was never responded to. I urge nobody to come here because nobody should be treated like they don't know their own pain and body. read more

I entered ATI with a cane barely able to walk after hip replacement surgery. The staff there is friendly and interested in their patients. I never felt like a number. My therapist, Mike Mize, evaluated me and asked where I wanted to be when we finished and he promised to do his best to get me there. I was almost wheelchair bound prior to surgery for about 6 months and very weak. He was very diligent and encouraged me to push myself to get stronger. I am not where I hoped to be but am a long way from where I started out. Mike gave me the tools to be able to get where I want to be. I have been to other rehab clinics and was never treated as well as I was at ATI in Greer. If I need therapy again, this is where I am going. read more
