She called back and informed me that Mr. Jenkins would accept our case, then asked my domestic partner and myself to come in that following Monday to sign our contract. (2) I informed them the need of a sign language interpreter, Ms. Jones contacted Sign Language Network of Kentucky and learned that there would be a cost. (3) Ms. Jones contacted us back and asked me if I would bring in my domestic partner with me to interpret. I said no since it was a legal matter and Kentucky has a licensure law plus it was required under Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Apparently, that hiring an interpreter was a problem. (4) A few days later, we received a letter from Jenkins Law Firm that he was dropping us as a client and encouraged us to seek another attorney. Mr. Jenkins VIOLATED the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) by wielding his legal powers to avoid to hire a sign language interpreter. AVOID THIS BUSINESS AT ALL COSTS. DO NOT CATER TO BUSINESSES THAT DISCRIMINATE INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES.
