I was seen quickly and the staff was nice. But the doctor (Physicians Assistant) misdiagnosed me…read morewith Staph and the prescription given aggravated the itching since it was not proper for what I actually had. I called Space Coast the next day and told them to let the doctor know it was not staph but poison ivy or oak (per my Doctor back home I saw for another evaluation since I was in so much pain; she knew immediately it was not staph and gave me steroids and it quickly went away). I realize Florida docs may not see poison ivy/oak as often so I figured this information would help the doctor consider that in the future for other patients and would they reconsider the bill or at least apologize. Anyone can make a mistake and I understand that but I am surprised Space Coast still billed me. I called them again today, to remind them of the misdiagnosis and see if they felt I owed them the $160 bill. The office staff talked over me and explained they still expected to be paid for "seeing me" even though the doctor got the diagnosis wrong. I paid the bill. I just felt I didn't get the professional service and diagnosis I was billed for. I was billed for being seen.

I am a member of a "shared branch" credit union and I needed to make a transaction but my credit…read moreunion does not have a local branch in this area. "No problem!" I thought. One of the credit union around here must be a shared branch but to make certain, I called ahead. I reached someone at Space Coast CU who assured me they were indeed part of the share branch network but when I arrived at this branch, a semi snotty teller informed me that they are not. Well, thanks for wasting my time! Quite frankly, if a credit union is not a member of the shared branch network, I don't see any point in having an account with them.

So I write this from the perspective of someone who does not closely follow the financial news…read moreand/or the markets. Although I do have a bit of understanding how they work, I'm not a huge stock trader either. I'm just your average gal looking to build my nest-egg into my retirement years. Before discovering Edward Jones, I had been using another firm, the fees were pretty reasonable but the challenge was there wasn't that personal touch. On the recommendation of a good friend I decided to give these folks a try even if I'm a couple of states away. The great thing about Edward Jones is the personal touch, if you've ever seen their commercials on TV that's really summarizes the relationship I feel I have with everyone at this office. Kind, warm, friendly, and they are always great in answering questions in terms I can easily understand. The other great thing I can say is I'm honestly terrible about checking in and they always call every so often but not too much to check in and see how things are, this is my downfall since it does take me a while to finally connect them. When it came to my portfolio (which isn't huge), they had recommended some changes to my account which would make things easier for me, and hopefully allow me to take advantages of market opportunities as they arose. Again here the fees are reasonable and I do feel like I have more of a personal relationship and they're readily accessible by phone or email if I have a question, which is a big plus since I'm out of state.

I like working with local people that actually answer the phone instead of companies that just direct you to a chat bot or automated system where you can't speak to an actual human-and they always answered the phone to help me-even nights and weekends!

I struggled between giving Dyer Mortgage 3 or 4 stars. I'll summarize as best I can. This is the…read morefirst Yelp review I've ever written. First off, my mortgage officer made it clear she would do everything necessary to close on time and she explained the home-buying process to me in great detail. I was confident that there would be no issues meeting deadlines with the seller. My rationale for subtracting stars: After looking at three properties, I asked my loan officer for multiple loan estimates. Upon asking her for the third estimate, she called me and nearly demanded a justification as to why I wanted another estimate. She followed up with a warning that "interest rates are rising" and eventually raised my estimated rate from 2.75 to 3.25 percent. Luckily, I was working with another lender, and locked financing at 2.5 percent. Dyer claims to be a mortgage broker. Why was a first-time home-buyer able to secure a better rate? Where was the comparative analysis on which lenders have the best rates? Why do I need to justify requesting estimates on multiple properties?
