Having Anna from Premium Tours was the piece of mind we needed to ensure a safe and enjoyable day. Anna was knowledgeable about Paris and engaged us by asking questions, making the tour more engaging. Our day began with a warm welcome at LE PAIN QUOTIDIEN, a cozy coffee shop located inside the train station. Here, we received our train tickets and went through the Eurostar system to scan our passports and belongings. Once inside the train, we met our tour guide, Anna, who was incredibly welcoming and provided clear instructions about our meeting point outside the train in Paris at the Gare du Nord. Upon arriving in Paris, we boarded a spacious, air-conditioned tour bus that took us to various locations. Our itinerary included a panoramic sightseeing tour of Paris, a relaxing 1-hour canal cruise by Bateaux Parisiens along the Seine River, a visit to the iconic Eiffel Tower, and a delightful 3-course lunch with wine at the Eiffel Tower restaurant (if an upgrade option was chosen). We also had ample time for shopping near the Louvre Pyramid. A tip for the canal cruise: the best seats are on the top deck on the left-hand side. She gave tons of great advice and we look forward to coming back to enjoy some of the areas we stopped in further. Jermaine was a great driver. Smooth ride. I typically get horrible motion sickness when riding as a passenger so my husband and I were shocked that I survived! I do wish we could have spend a bit more time in each area but, the time allotted was typical for guided tours. Definitely a great choice to get better familiar with the areas.

Church Street in Chesham used to be the commercial hub of the town.It contained grocers stores and…read moreworkshops up until the beginning of the 19th century when these buidings began to be converted to the cottages and yards we see today.They are very quaint and from the pictures I've seen in the estate agents windows, pretty small.There are two good pubs in this area and some pretty allotment gardens.St Mary's Parish church dates back to the 12th century in parts and is well worth a look.The Bury, a grand house in beautiful gardens is nowadays home to a business but last Summer we went to a production there of 'The Witches' done by 'The Chesham players' and we got to sit in the gardens, eat cookies and admire the lovely grounds.

Following the Thames Path west or east will provide another view - at times picturesque - of London Town. The buildings diminish in size and number and the green spaces grow increasingly large, while the sounds of the city fade into the distance. Leisure Pass Group are the folks that manage the London Pass (and the Paris Pass, Dublin Pass,…read moreetc). Basically you buy a specific # of days (1, 3, 6) and during that time you're free to do any/all activities on the Pass. You can only do each attraction one time though. We used the London Pass (6 days) on our recent trip and found that it saved money but not always time. For the most part, you couldn't skip lines or anything. That said, it was super easy to use - they have an app and you have a QR code - scan & done! In terms of value, you have to be strategic as its consecutive day use (a 6 day pass is good for 6 days in a row starting from 1st use) so save "free things" for non pass says. Having open access also allows you to pop in and check a thing out randomly with no headaches about paying extra or feeling obligated to get your $$ worth. Most of the "top" attractions are on the London Pass except for the Eye and Madam Tussauds. It does include things like the Shard, the Tower, Westminster Abbey etc. Definitely do the math on what you want to see for sure and make sure it justifies the price. And check online for discount codes - we saved 15% on the Pass and roughly £170 between the 2 of us (over and above the Pass price). For us, it ended up being an overall value and saved us a good amount of $$, plus we definitely did things we wouldn't have without the Pass (pay £30+ to go up the Shard? No way!) IMO, the Travelcard option isn't worth paying extra for as it really does not offer any benefits over getting an Oyster card. If there was more skip the line access, it would be 5-stars.

This service is a quicker and cheaper way to get either to/from Hampton Court Palace and Windsor Castle than train. Tip: Due to huge coach crowds in the morning at Windsor Castle (on their way to Stonehenge and Bath), it's best to go to Hampton Court first, then take the later (not the first one) shuttle to Windsor because there's really a lot more to see at Hampton Court.

Steep slopes were impractical for arable farming so these areas were planted . They provide protection from the high winds and also attractive field margins.The Saxons used areas of woodland for pig rearing but latterly they have been used for game bird husbandry and timber.There are countless walks in and around Chesham and there are many walking guides available from the library or from 'The White Hill centre'.It is a great pastime . We've stayed at a couple of delightful apartments in Camps Bay and then two different houses in Franschhoek one in the centre which allowed us to walk everywhere, the second on a small wine farm just on the outskirts which enabled us to appreciate the mountains and the views. We have been exploring Barbados in November 2013 and Simon has also been tip top in finding accommodation that suited our needs and budgets. We always recommend Fleewinter to our friends who ask us about holidays abroad they find well priced accommodation and we haven't found anyone else who has been able to provide the individual personalised service that they offer. Whilst not at the bleeding edge of technology they were pretty easy going, fun to work for, the location was great (walks / runs along the Thames at lunch) and there's an on-site gym in the basement - complete with pool. Management can be a little overbearing on occasions but nothing out of the ordinary and certainly nothing like other places I've worked. But, on the flip side, the people are good people and I've made some good friends there, that I still pop in and see when I'm in town. I'd have no problem recommending a friend to work there. Oh, and there's a cracking coffee shop in the building foyer (not run by Miki Travel) for those moments when you need to get away from your desk.
