My doctor was great - very friendly and approachable. My visit was fairly short, and I learned what I needed to. Thank you! The person who checked me in at the desk was amazing also: under pressure, with many people coming in left and right, she was kind, upbeat, and thorough. Thank you! The waiting room is very nice and large. The furniture was comfortable enough but it could be arranged more spaciously- with less obstacles- for all the people who have trouble walking and getting up... considering it is an orthopaedic office. Unfortunately, there is a tv on the wall with advertisements or 'health info' videos that runs a very loud continuous loop of awful elevator music. It was so loud and frustrating that I asked the front desk if they could change it... and they cannot, as it is apparently controlled by a separate corporation. I cannot imagine how anyone could work in that office with that in the background. It is so disruptive that it was difficult to hear the people who were calling patients in! Also, when I called to make my initial appointment, I told them what I needed, and the person immediately tried to direct me towards a doctor that needed something for pain medication - which is something I am not looking for or need- and I was very confused. The person made an appointment for me with no further info. I called back the next week to find out how to get my records sent, and the person said I needed to bring in a physical CD. I ended up having to reschedule in order to wait to have the cd mailed to me so that I could bring it in. The first person you interact with as a potential client is important! read more

I've been a patient at the Palm Beach Gardens office for ten years and had a knee replacement in 2025. The care is excellent. May only complaint is that there is no way to contact their administrative offices about a local billing issue; only a referral to an outsource billing provider. If I owed them money, they could certainly contact me but they owe ME money and I have tried for over a YEAR to get reimbursement with no result. read more

Dr Forte, the one doctor you need to see for a Total Knee replacement. In less than 60 days I am walking and talking like I did in 2017 when it all started in my right knee. His expertise, experience and surgical talent allowed me to have minimal pain, scaring and a successfull path to rehab. I know it is a one year journery to complete recovery, but being pain free and able to walk like I did before retirement. Worst administrative staff I've ever encountered. Had two shoulder surgeries with Dr. Routman, he is wonderful. Very helpful and really cares. Can't say the same for the rest of the staff. So I come in with a distal radius break and hand them X-rays on a disc that I had taken the day it happened. They tell me you can't tell whether a bone was broken on the first day of X-rays and they need to take new ones. While this is true if it's a minor fracture, I clearly showed them x-rays where it was broken. So now I'm sitting here and the girl comes in asking me if the other doctor in coloratold me where it was broken. I say yes, distal radius. She says okay the doctor will be right in. So the doc comes in and says it will heal fine and tells me he'll be away for vacation for my next couple visits but some other lady will be there. He didn't even show me my new xrays. I asked for the X-rays and they told me i have to pay 5$ for them even though they were over 400$. So I have now been sitting here waiting for the X-rays to "download" for 10 minutes now. This place is a joke. This whole ordeal took 20 minutes. read more

Tried to make appointment in PBG office as they were recommended as really good. Treated extremely badly by the staff as if I was a pain in the *ss. I gave them my insurance details as my co-worker is already a patient and the administrator was extremely rude to me. Every time I call the office they never pick up the phone in a timely minor. You are left on hold for over 15 minutes and it does matter which option number that I press they still don't answer their phone. This office is horrible about answering the phones. I have to drive to the office to get assistance. Atlantis Orthopaedics need to do a better job picking up the phones instead of leaving people on hold over 15 minutes. read more

Astonishingly disappointing. 1st impression truly said it all, with a runaround over the phone and difficulty just to get through and set an appointment. Was asked the same information by 2 different people, which shows the ineffectiveness. Only to show up and be denied at the appointment. I am writing this at the difficult time of COVID-19. My boyfriend was positive for the virus a month ago. We responsibly quarantined during the sickness and 2 entire weeks after symptoms went away. At a time we know the unreliability and difficulty of testing, the immense delay in getting results, and the very unpleasant feeling to go through it, this office required 2 negative tests. My boyfriend was in pain to the point he couldn't walk. We didn't want to go to an ER where people are needing help with the virus actively and wait 5 hours... we made an appointment hoping to see a specialist. After the difficulty just to get there we were turned away without any help offered. NO ONE TOOK THE TIME TO SAY ANYTHING OVER THE PHONE BEFOREHAND. For a center that is supposed to help the sick and in pain, be most informed of current virus circumstances, this was very very upsetting and awful experience. I can appreciate taking precautions for everyone visiting or working there... but this is NOT an appropriate way. A number of people walking in their office have been exposed to the virus and knowingly say "no" to their questionnaire that still asks if we've been out of the country (where the virus is less prevalent!?!). My conclusion: typical center, factory oriented, nothing personal or caring for the human being. read more

I am now 7 years out (8/2008) of 1/2 (humeral) left shoulder replacement. I had MRSA/VRSA, which I became infected with during previous surgery by VERY well known doctor....NOT RELATED in ANY way to Dr. Routman or Atlantis Orthopaedics....Dr. Routman and Atlantis Orthopaedics impressed me so much that I am seriously considering traveling from where I currently live in San Jose California to Lake Worthless just to have Dr Routman repair the tears in my right shoulder. The only thing preventing me from returning to Florida is the fact that I am very poor, on SSDI/SSI and would have to change my residence just to have insurance coverage; Medicare will transfer and cover 80% of the negotiated fee that Dr. Routman would charge(he definitely is under paid by insurance. Medicare), but for the other 20% I would need Florida Medicaid, instead of MediCal...so if i don't find a great doctor here, California. ..(Routman set the bar high)...I will give up my (paid by separate federal program) apartment(housing in San Francisco bay area is very expensive and hard to come by), come to Palm Beach, live for couple months in cheap motel and "semi" HOMEless, just to be sure i am getting competent care....if i were reading this review, I probably would look ni further than Atlantis Orthopaedics.
