We were shocked and relieved since another vendor quoted us over $600 for fixing the tiles, and then another $4400 for additional work he said we needed. A total of over $5,000. Tim was friendly, he gave us the best price. Others said they couldn't get the light gray shingles we wanted. Tim said no problem and there was none. Hard working roofers endured difficult weather during the roof replacement. The job as done to our complete satisfaction. The work also included redirecting dryer vents and included wind mitigation reports. After the hurricane, Tim came with a drone and examined our roofing and found it unharmed from the storm. Once we paid a down payment I felt like everything moved along quite quickly. Roofing materials were delivered and by the end of that week or the following they started the project. We had not had rain in weeks; the weatherman predicted no rain and of course it ended up raining. Even at that, they protected our roof well. They also covered (blanketed) the perimeter of the house before they started the tear off which helped catch the nails and debris and they cleaned up at the end of every day. My husband was here when we had the first inspection for the water barrier. He talked with the inspector. The inspector told him that the foreman with Amherst has been with the company for some 20 plus years and does a really good job. I found Amy in the office to be super nice and helpful. Brittney who does the billing is right on the ball with invoicing and answering any questions by email. Tim is a nice honest guy, he always gave us a heads up the day before the crew was going to be at our house. They were all so helpful if I had any questions. In addition they were easily accessible by phone, text or email which to me is important. Amherst did a really nice job on my roof. They have gorgeous bath fixtures for less than other bigger stores. I can not say enough about the service we received. He spent well over an hour with us and just brainstormed ideas. We will be going back! Another difference between them and other places where you might buy your bath and kitchen supplies, is that they will maintain parts for everything they sell. We had Jado bath fixtures. We called 5 plumbers to get leaking shower fixed. NO ONE could find the parts because Jado (which was a very high end brand) went out of business during COVID. When I happened to mention that to Rob, he said: "Oh we have Jado parts. Since we've been in business for so long we keep those parts. I will never sell you something that we can't repair eventually, which they always do!" What a relief to know before I buy something else!

Lee Jarvis was the plumber sent to my house today. He is patient, knowledgeable, and thorough and I recommend him wholeheartedly. He even cleaned up after finishing the job. The 5 star rating is for him!! I have always been very satisfied with Bob Hill Plumbing.....they are efficient, trustworthy and dependable. They show up when they say they will and I've even allowed them access to my home when I wasn't there. The only thing I'm not crazy about, is their new practice of securing a $235 fee on a credit card prior to the plumbers arrival. If I hadn't had great experiences with them in the past, I would have called another company. I understand their reasoning, but $235 up front is a little much. For smaller jobs, the fee may not be worth it.
